In an instant, the students of Sea Dragon Academy and Heavenly Dragon Academy clashed, the scene bloody and brutal.
The Heavenly Dragon Academy students all fought defensively, often using guard as attack, conserving their strength. In terms of numbers, Sea Dragon Academy clearly had the advantage, making things tough for Lily Tang's side.
Winning while outnumbered was nearly impossible—unless a miracle happened. But everyone was waiting for that miracle: the arrival of Goldwing the golden carrion roc.
At this moment, Evan Chu looked a bit battered, unable to attack the three enemies head-on and forced to keep dodging with shifting movements. For now, those three couldn't do anything to him either.
Lily Tang was like she’d gone mad—her long-suppressed ‘mother tyrannosaurus’ temper erupted in full force. While others held back, she fought with reckless abandon.
She scattered poison and slashed with her sword again and again. In just a short time, at least five people had died by her hand, making the Sea Dragon Academy students wary of her.
But the good times didn’t last. Her fierce outburst was soon noticed by two students from Sea Dragon Academy’s Honors Class. One of them—none other than the girl who’d spoken earlier—immediately rushed over.
“Not bad, you look pretty and fight dirty too. Today’s your death day!” The girl appeared beside Lily, slashing out with lightning speed and nearly injuring her.
“Cut the crap, you brat! Who do you think you are? With that short little body, I honestly feel sorry for you—who knows if any guy would ever want you. Yet you have the nerve to talk big in front of me!
But you won’t get another chance—today you’re dying, and it’ll be ugly.” Lily dodged and immediately flung a handful of poison at her opponent.
Lily’s poison was called Netherblood Powder. It wasn’t as fast as Ten-Fragrance Softbone Powder, but it was much deadlier. Once the toxin activated, the victim’s blood would gradually congeal—ending in death.
The girl hated being called short more than anything, and Lily had just ripped open her wound. Furious, she shouted, “Bitch! Die!”
Her attack was fueled by pure anger—she didn’t care about the poison Lily had just thrown. All she could think about was killing the person who’d insulted her, so much so that she didn’t even notice she’d been poisoned.
That was exactly what Lily wanted. But her opponent’s strike was no joke—there was no time to retreat, so she gritted her teeth and braced herself to block.
She swung her longsword in return. Though rushed, it still had eighty percent of her usual power. The two girls’ attacks collided instantly.
"Pfft!" Lily was blasted several meters back by the brute force of her opponent’s sword, coughing up blood—clearly badly hurt.
Her opponent was only forced back a few steps. The difference in strength was obvious—after all, the other girl was from the Honors Class, no way Lily could compare.
“Lily!” Not far away, Rhea Yang saw Lily injured and immediately shouted, leaping into the fray with a quick sword attack to stop the girl from striking again.
Seeing Rhea’s sudden charge, the girl quickly retreated, sneering, “Another one come to die? Fine, I’ll kill you both today!”
She dodged Rhea’s sword and prepared to attack again, but suddenly Rhea produced some black objects from her hand.
"Taste my Meteor Fire Rain!" Rhea shouted, flinging all the black objects at the girl in a barrage.
“Throwing hidden weapons?” The girl dodged in a flash—so fast that Rhea was shocked. The Sea Dragon Academy Honors Class really did have some terrifying fighters.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Deafening explosions rang out. Rhea’s Meteor Fire Rain was extremely powerful—she rarely used it, even in danger.
The girl dodged the direct blasts but was still caught by the shockwaves, left scorched and disheveled, with a trickle of blood at her mouth.
“Nice one, Rhea!” Gus Bullard shouted after cutting down a student.
Right now, Sterling Yates was in the most danger—locked in battle with another Honors Class student from Sea Dragon Academy. Sterling’s body was covered in wounds, his blood soaking his clothes.
The gap in strength was deadly. With fewer people on their side, even though Heavenly Dragon students fought defensively, many had died and even more were seriously wounded.
Everyone was anxious. Evan Chu kept dodging, but his eyes were fixed on his comrades. Each time a Heavenly Dragon student died, his heart twisted in pain.
More than once, he nearly pulled out his Soulfeather Plume to summon Goldwing, but held back—because Luna, the sword spirit, told him she could already sense Goldwing’s aura.
After unleashing Meteor Fire Rain, Rhea rushed to Lily’s side. She needed to get her out fast—otherwise Lily would be in even greater danger.
The girl, about to kill Rhea in a rage, suddenly felt dizzy—like her blood was congealing. She nearly lost her balance.
“What’s happening?” she thought in shock. The feeling only grew stronger, making it hard to breathe.
She wasn’t the only one—other Sea Dragon students were suffering too. Anyone not directly fighting Heavenly Dragon students was quickly finished off by their opponents.
Lily, supported by Yanran, laughed coldly at their state. “How’s my poison taste? You’re not qualified to kill me.”
She was about to finish the girl off herself when Rhea stopped her. “Save your strength! You’re in no shape to kill anyone. I’ll do it for you.”
Rhea immediately slashed down with a vicious sword strike. In the past, the girl might have scoffed at it, but now it was deadly.
She tried to raise her sword to block, but her arm wouldn’t move. Before Rhea’s blade even landed, she collapsed to the ground.
Black blood oozed from her mouth—proof of just how terrifying Lily’s poison was.
Despair written all over her face, she watched Rhea’s sword coming. She was filled with unwillingness, but it was too late—Rhea’s blade sliced cleanly through her throat, sending a jet of black blood into the air and ending her life.
“Go help Sterling!” Gus Bullard, tangled up with a Sea Dragon student, shouted to Rhea.
Just then, a piercing bird cry split the air. Everyone looked up to see a massive golden bird speeding toward the battlefield—Goldwing was finally back.
