Getting the Answer

Evan Chu recalled Frostbane and switched to using his fingers as swords. The two strikes he unleashed were like invisible giant blades, cleaving through his two foes with unstoppable force.

He attacked in two directions, perfectly splitting his focus. The power of this move was beyond Evan’s expectations—Warren Wang, who was closest, had a massive hole blown open in his chest.

His internal organs had vanished, likely shredded to dust by the Chaos Qi-forged sword energy.

The youth farther away was in slightly better shape, but he was barely breathing. His golden gloves were torn to rags, and a bloody hole gaped in his chest—luckily, it hadn’t pierced all the way through.

Blood instantly soaked his clothes as he collapsed to the ground in unwilling despair.

Evan instantly used Shifting Position to appear in front of him—he needed to know how many Honors Class students were among their group.

The student called Third Brother, barely clinging to life, stared at Evan and asked, "What... what martial technique was that?"

Clearly, losing to such a martial technique left him bitter. If he died without even knowing the move’s name, it would feel even more pointless.

"If you want to know the name, I can tell you—but first, you tell me how many Honors Class students are in your group. Otherwise, you’ll take your regrets to hell!" Evan bargained, knowing this was the best moment to get answers.

"Six... six!" The youth spat out blood as he answered, looking like he was about to die. His eyes burned with longing and unwillingness, desperate for Evan’s reply.

"Since you answered honestly, I’ll be honest too. The name of this technique is pretty ugly—it’s called Dog-Slayer Sword, made just for killing dogs. Never thought it’d end up killing you!"

Evan grinned. He’d once used a move called Dog-Slayer Slash, and this Dog-Slayer Sword was about the same. Then he charged toward the Sea Dragon Academy students.

By now, the Sea Dragon Academy students had already surged forward. If they didn’t move after Evan killed two of their own, they’d be idiots.

Evan waved toward the hiding place of Rhea and the others, clearly signaling for everyone to come out—the real battle was about to begin.

Seeing Evan’s gesture, Rhea immediately called out, "Everyone, get out now! This is our life-and-death fight with Sea Dragon Academy, so be careful. I don’t want to see anyone missing at the end."

"Got it, big sis!" dozens of students shouted in unison, making Rhea feel both embarrassed and sweet, just like Lily Tang did before.

In an instant, all the Heavenly Dragon Academy students charged out in force, their momentum so fierce that the Sea Dragon Academy side stopped dead in their tracks.

Evan had planned to rush in and cut down a few enemies, but suddenly realized his Chaos Qi was down to less than twenty percent—a dangerously low level. He’d been a bit reckless.

The enemy still had five Honors Class experts. Evan figured he could barely kill two, but he’d definitely suffer heavy injuries. He couldn’t help but worry.

Soon, Rhea, Gus Bullard, and the others rushed to Evan’s side. Gus was the first to speak: "Boss, you okay? You know you were amazing just now? I’m totally blown away!"

"Old Bull, enough! Listen up, everyone: there are still five Honors Class students among them. I burned most of my star force killing those beasts earlier, and now I’ve got almost nothing left. Try to drag things out and wait for Goldwing to arrive."

Seeing everyone itching for action, Evan hurried to explain. If things got desperate, he’d have to use the Soulfeather Plume to forcibly summon Goldwing.

"Be careful, Evan. We’ll take care of ourselves!" Rhea said, her worry obvious after hearing how much star force Evan had burned.

Of course, Evan wouldn’t mention that what he had inside was actually Chaos Qi—even if he did, nobody would understand.

"Five Honors Class students? Fine, today I’ll risk it all! Even if my cultivation drops a small realm, I’ll make sure they see the power of Tang Sect!" Lily Tang snapped, her temper flaring like a rampaging dragon.

The students nearby were startled—who’d have thought that the usually gentle big sis could explode like that? They’d better watch what they say from now on; lighting her fuse could be disastrous.

"Lily, you’re planning to use poison? Why would you risk dropping a realm?" Evan asked, sensing she must have some technique that hurts herself while hurting the enemy—definitely something toxic.

Being from Tang Sect, it was normal for her techniques to involve poison. But Evan wouldn’t let her go through with it.

"Don’t worry about it—I know what I’m doing!" Lily replied, not directly answering Evan’s question.

"No reckless moves without my permission, and definitely no self-harming techniques!" Evan snapped, recalling how a black-clad assassin once burned his life for power—with dire consequences.

The Sea Dragon Academy students saw the Heavenly Dragon side deep in discussion and quickly started strategizing themselves—Evan’s performance had truly shaken them.

"I think that kid from Heavenly Dragon Academy who pulled off that weird move is the strongest. If the three of us join forces and take him down, the rest will be easy," said a black-clad student.

"Three? I think two of us could handle him. Sure, he’s tough, but after that last fight he’s definitely drained. Honestly, two is already giving him too much credit," another argued.

"Don’t get careless. I think he’s been playing dumb from the start—he’s no pushover. We all know how strong Warren Wang is, but did you notice? Warren’s attack seemed to get blocked a foot from that guy’s body.

And he didn’t even make a move to block it. Don’t underestimate him," said a girl—her features delicate, though she was a bit short.

Her words made the others nod in agreement. "Alright, three of us will attack him together. He’s fast, so we’d better surround him and hit from all sides."

With the plan set, three figures dashed toward Evan, and the rest of the Sea Dragon Academy students charged in as well.

Seeing the three rush him, Evan instantly understood their intent. "Scatter! Those three are coming for me—stall for time and wait for Goldwing!" he ordered.

At once, everyone spread out, ready to clash with the charging Sea Dragon students, while Evan launched Shifting Position and sped off in one direction.

"Trying to gang up on me? With your skills? Not happening!" Evan laughed to himself, already dozens of meters away after a few quick steps.

"That guy’s crazy fast! Chop his legs off and let’s see him run then!" one of them growled.
