Mrs. Miller said nothing, her gaze growing increasingly complicated.

"Maybe my life was never meant to be smooth. In this world, how many people can truly live without obstacles? Like the son of Uncle Chen, whom you introduced to me, Mom. If no one had told me that he lived with another woman while studying in India, how would I know that behind his eager pursuit of me, he was hiding such a dark side?" Cherry gave a bitter smile and looked at Mrs. Miller. "Mom, no matter what happens, I’m already prepared to weather the storms with him. Madam once said, the greatest growth for a woman is to fear neither hardship nor heartbreak—to believe in love, and to be able to bear the pain and risks love brings."

"Madam is my role model and my idol. I’m just like you, willing to do anything to protect her," Cherry said. "Ethan Yin is Madam’s concern, and if that’s the case, I’m willing to spend my life guarding her children. If marriage can give them lifelong peace, then what’s a little hardship for me?"

Mrs. Miller sighed. "Alright, since you’ve thought it through, I have nothing more to say."

In the room, Cecilia Gu looked at her son with a half-smile: "You’re quite something! You really know how to keep secrets."

Ethan Yin quickly rushed forward and hugged Cecilia Gu’s neck. "Mom—please don’t tease me! You always see right through me, don’t you? Mom, could you say something nice to Mrs. Miller for me? She’s always treated you like a goddess. If you speak up, everything will be much easier."

Cecilia Gu’s expression turned serious. "It’s not that simple. Mrs. Miller hasn’t had it easy, and Cherry is her whole world. In matters like this, you have to let people be truly willing."

As the two were talking, Charles Yin walked in from outside. "What are you chatting about? You seem so happy."

"Dad! I’m begging Mom for help right now, and since you’re here, you should help too! Who knows, maybe in a few years you’ll be a grandpa." Ethan Yin said with a grin.

"Mm." Charles Yin was finally satisfied.

Hmph, his beloved wife was for him to hold—if his son hugged her, he’d get jealous!

No wonder his son was even more outstanding than he was—he was the spitting image of himself when he was young!

"So, what was so urgent that you called us back?" Charles Yin was clearly displeased!

He was supposed to be on vacation with his beloved wife!

On vacation!

And yet, his brat of a son called him back!

He really wanted to take this kid outside and see just how much he’d grown over the years!

But he figured his beloved wife would never agree, so he dropped the idea.

"Dad! I’m begging Mom for help right now, and since you’re here, you should help too! Who knows, maybe in a few years you’ll be a grandpa." Yuhe Yin said with a grin.

Charles Yin’s handsome face froze. "A grandpa?"
