Whose Fault Is It That No One Talks to Each Other
Sam Shang saw Yina Yin pacing back and forth in the classroom. He wanted to say something, but held back.
At that moment, a crowd rushed to the window and started chattering excitedly: "Look, Miles Gu is playing basketball! Oh my god, he's so handsome!"
Yina Yin couldn't help herself and glanced out the window as well.
Oh wow!
He wasn't playing on the professional court, but instead was shooting hoops with a few college students on the middle school basketball court.
Yina Yin really wanted to make a snarky comment, but the longer she watched, the more she felt like joining in.
She really wanted to go out and play basketball too. Whimper, whimper.
No way, absolutely not!
Hold it in, you have to hold it in!
Yina Yin gritted her teeth, grabbed her backpack, and walked out.
A few classmates in the classroom exchanged glances and couldn't help but ask Sam Shang, "Sam, what's up with Yina today? Before, whenever Miles Gu played basketball outside, she'd run out right away. What's going on now?"
Sam Shang's eyes flickered in the direction Yina Yin left and said, "It's nothing, she's probably just in a bad mood."
Yina Yin strode out of the teaching building, planning to wait for Cherry Miller at the dorm.
She hadn't even reached the parking area when a basketball, whistling through the air, flew straight towards her.
"Watch out!" The students nearby cried out in alarm.
Without even looking, Yina Yin leaned back, did a perfect backbend, pressed her hands to the ground, planted her left foot, stretched out her right leg, and sent the flying basketball bouncing right back!
"Wow, so cool!" The students around her burst into applause.
Big Nuo, you're awesome!
No one could deny that Yina Yin's move just now was absolutely flawless.
Normally, she'd tease this group of pretty girls a little.
But today, she wasn't interested at all.
After straightening up from the ground, she didn't even glance at the basketball court and just walked away with her bag.
Miles Gu dribbled the basketball, watching Yina Yin's departing figure, a faint, unreadable smile in his red eyes.
That girl's temper is really stubborn!
"Miles, you still playing or not?" Ryan King shouted from afar.
"Coming!" Miles Gu called out, dribbling the basketball as he headed over.
Yina Yin stormed back to the dorm, fuming.
She got to the door, but Miles Gu hadn't chased after her, which made Yina Yin even angrier!
He messed up, shouldn't he apologize?
Ugh, so annoying!
Yina Yin kicked open the door, marched inside, and was just about to head upstairs when she saw Miles Gu already in the living room.
Yina Yin's expression instantly stiffened.
Wasn't he supposed to be playing basketball?
Why is he here in the dorm?
Yina Yin quickly realized—she walked all the way back, but Miles probably drove, right?
So he got here before her!
Saint Diana Academy's high school division was now fully open, and students from other schools had received access cards, allowing them to freely enter the high school gates and build their own stages in their designated areas.
He'd rather drive back early than chase after her to apologize?
Hmph! So mad!
Yina Yin shot Miles Gu a fierce glare, then stomped upstairs without another word.
She thought Miles would at least say hello, but he just glanced at her and said nothing.
That made Yina Yin even more furious!
As soon as she got to her room, Yina slammed the door and threw herself onto the bed, tossing and turning in a huff.
Yina Yin couldn't help but call Cherry Miller: "Cherry, why aren't you back yet?"
Cherry Miller was walking back with Ethan Yin when she got the call and said right away, "We're on our way back. What's up? You sound super mad."
"Of course I'm mad!" Yina Yin felt like she was about to explode.
Cherry exchanged a look with Ethan and said, "Alright, alright, don't be mad. We're almost home. What do you want for dinner tonight? My treat, okay?"
"Forget it, I'm too mad to eat. Hurry up and get back!" Yina muttered.
"Got it! Half an hour!" Cherry tried to calm Yina down.
"Okay." Yina hung up and kept rolling around on her bed, still annoyed.
She waited and waited until finally Cherry and Ethan came back.
When she heard the door open, Yina almost dashed out.
But then she remembered Miles might still be in the living room, so she forced herself to stop and flopped back onto her bed.
Sure enough, a moment later, Cherry knocked and came in.
Seeing Yina rolling around on the bed, Cherry immediately guessed what was up.
Cherry walked over, sat on the chair, and joked, "Miss, if you keep rolling around, you're gonna turn into a cocoon."
Yina stopped, sat up, and said to Cherry, "Cherry, look at Miles. He messes up and doesn't even admit it! Today he even pretended not to know me! Isn't that infuriating?"
"And who was it that said, 'From now on, let's pretend we don't know each other'?" Cherry teased with a smile.
Yina hesitated, then said, "That was just me being mad! He's a guy, how can he be so petty and not talk to me?"
