Holding the King of Hell Command Token, Even Black and White Impermanence Kneel

1/5/2026

Seeing that line, Ryan Ling froze for a second. Right now, holding this token, he honestly felt like he’d already inherited his old man’s throne as King of Hell.

Just think about it—Lord Yama is the boss who runs both the living and the dead, controls everyone’s fate, basically the emperor of the underworld. And those two wandering souls? Compared to him, they’re less than bugs. All they can do is kneel and kowtow.

Right now, with this holy relic in hand, Ryan instantly straightened his back. Seeing Victor Su and the others crowd in, he shouted, "If the old man really kicks it today, I’ll pay with my own life! All of you, get out of the way!"

Saying that, Ryan whipped out the King of Hell Command Token and snapped it through the air. At that moment, his swagger and his words really did have some King of Hell energy to them—even the picky System quietly nodded in approval.

But Warren Yuan? He’d never seen a treasure this high-level before. He immediately started trash-talking: "You little bastard, you already lost the bet! Waving some busted token—who are you fooling? Today I’ll show you what a real one-for-one life swap looks like…"

Warren Yuan was super confident in his soul-snatching tricks—it was obvious he’d pulled this nasty move more than a few times, and almost never lost. So when he talked big, he definitely meant it.

Victor Su also grinned, thinking Warren Yuan had already pulled out his ultimate move—no way Ryan could win now.

But right as he finished talking, Warren Yuan suddenly froze. Weirdly enough, those two wandering souls—usually super obedient—were just about to yank Samuel Su’s soul out, but out of nowhere, they gave up halfway. The two spirits just stood there, faces green, bodies shaking, like they’d just seen something absolutely terrifying.

What the heck was going on?

Warren Yuan scratched his head. Ever since he started raising ghosts and snatching souls, he’d never had a screw-up like this!

With the two wandering souls suddenly halting their attack, Samuel Su’s complexion bounced right back—his vital signs recovered instantly, and his face looked even healthier than before. It honestly seemed like the old man was about to wake up.

The medical experts nearby looked absolutely green. In their eyes, Ryan had gone from miracle doctor to straight-up immortal.

Watching the old man’s color get better and better, Victor Su’s own face turned green. He grabbed Warren Yuan, whining, "Mr. Yuan, Master Yuan, can you not freak me out like this? I can’t take the stress! Hurry up and do something—finish him off!"

"Shut your damn mouth, don’t talk!" Warren Yuan was even more annoyed than Victor, but at this point he was all-in. He bit his finger, dripped blood onto the red skull talisman, and started chanting like crazy—his ghost-driving art hit a whole new peak.

Even Warren Yuan himself hadn’t expected it—this sudden pressure actually pushed his ghost arts up another level. He was both excited and fired up, thinking, 'If I still can’t drag the soul of a half-dead old man, what am I even doing?'

He snapped his gaze back to the two wandering souls. But when he looked—holy crap, he was totally thunderstruck.

Not only did the two wandering souls ignore his commands, they actually dropped to their knees in front of Ryan Ling—no dignity at all, just two loud thuds.

That scene felt like Warren Yuan had just been struck by lightning.

He almost coughed up blood on the spot!

"Who—who the hell are you? Who sent you?" Warren Yuan was finally panicking. After all the evil he’d done, nobody freaked out faster than him.

But Victor Su and the others had no clue what was really happening. They just stared at the nearly unhinged Warren Yuan, feeling miserable and anxious—like a million ants crawling in their hearts—but didn’t dare say a word.

Ryan Ling saw the whole scene and wasn’t scared at all. He just sat down, sneered, and said, "An ant like you doesn’t deserve to know."

Warren Yuan was about to explode, but right now he didn’t dare move. The more Ryan acted like this, the more mysterious he seemed. Just a moment ago, he’d used a single silver needle to purge all the poison from Samuel Su, and now he’d whipped out a busted token that made two soul-snatching demons drop to their knees and kowtow like crazy.

All of this just proved that Ryan had serious backing—definitely not someone Warren could afford to mess with.

Warren gritted his teeth and turned to Victor Su, who was still hoping for a miracle. "Old Su, let’s just give up. This kid’s background is way too big…"

Victor Su had been totally lost the whole time. He was a little scared of Warren Yuan because he was ruthless, but hearing this just shattered his last hope. Victor immediately shouted, "Old Yuan, what the hell are you saying? Give up on what? That kid’s nothing special—I checked, he’s just that brat’s classmate, a nobody from the slums. Even if he’s got some tricks, he’s nothing compared to you!"

"Really?" Warren Yuan hesitated, suddenly wondering if he’d misjudged everything.

"Of course! Plus, don’t you want the money? Just take care of that punk for me and I’ll give you a hundred million!" Victor Su immediately doubled down, throwing out the ultimate bait.

The second Warren heard that number, his eyes lit up. With a hundred million, he’d be set for life.

So Warren Yuan went all-in, instantly sprang to his feet, and with a flash from both sleeves, two sharp knives appeared. Gritting his teeth, he stalked toward Ryan Ling, clearly ready to go for the kill.

"What are you trying to do—commit murder in broad daylight?" Seeing this, everyone nearby turned pale. Sophie Su immediately screamed.

"Shut that brat up!" Victor Su yelled. Instantly, the fat auntie, Yvonne Su, and that brainless rich kid all rushed over, grabbed Sophie, and clamped her mouth shut.

(Irrelevant system message skipped.)

Meanwhile, none of the doctors or nurses dared say a word. Victor Su had bribed them all with a million each, and now he was openly ready to get his hands dirty. Family ties? Please—he only cared about the inheritance.

"Old Yuan, we should’ve done this ages ago. Just cripple him—it’s way easier." Victor Su grinned darkly. Now that the masks were off, he didn’t bother pretending. He turned to Ryan Ling and sneered, "Kid, even if you’ve got heaven-defying skills, you’re dead today!"

Warren Yuan advanced, eyes gleaming with murder. Sophie Su struggled desperately, but couldn’t even shout for help. Warren was built like a tank and clearly a trained fighter—nothing like Yvonne Su, who couldn’t even lift a chicken. With Ryan’s skinny frame, he didn’t stand a chance.

Ryan going head-to-head with him? Pretty much impossible.

This looks like game over for real!

Sophie Su was beyond devastated. She never thought her own 'family' would do something like this. Right now, she wished she could take the knife for Ryan Ling.

But even though Ryan was nervous, he wasn’t truly scared. To be honest, he never fights a battle unprepared. Way before he whipped out the King of Hell Command Token, he’d already written all the key names into the Book of Life and Death—Warren Yuan was definitely on that list. He knew exactly what was about to go down.

So he’d already planned his counterattack—and the key was still the King of Hell Command Token.

The King of Hell Command Token actually has tons of functions. Making little ghosts kneel comes from its sheer authority, but there’s also a special incantation carved into it. Once you recite it, the holder can unleash Lord Yama’s aura, and outsiders will clearly see the King of Hell’s terrifying phantom. It’s designed to scare the guts out of the worst criminals—literally.

"Kid, I don’t care what trick you used to scare those little ghosts. None of that matters now, because today you’re dying by my hand!" Warren Yuan snarled, raising his knife to strike.

"Warren Yuan, you’d better open your damn eyes and see who I really am!" In a flash, Ryan Ling recited the incantation—the next instant, his whole body erupted in blinding golden light…
