White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel

"Mr. Summer, from now on this will be your property. Would you like me to show you around?"

"No need to call me Mr. Summer. Just call me Summer Mu."

White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel.

This four-story resort hotel stands halfway up White Dragon Mountain, with five two-story private villas behind it.

These villas are rented out to wealthy guests, with nightly rates ranging from five thousand to over ten thousand yuan. They face the mountain view below, offering a wide, open vista.

Summer Mu, dressed simply, stood on the rooftop terrace of the resort hotel. Behind him, Henry Zhang, in a black suit and wearing a sycophantic smile, said, "Then I'll call you Young Master Summer. The chairman called me yesterday, and from now on the White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel is yours to manage. Would you like me to give you a tour now?"

"The White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel was bought by the chairman eight years ago. It took a year and a half just to build the hotel, and another three years to cultivate the fish ponds, create the artificial lake, and plant the surrounding vegetation—all done by specialists."

"Now, the resort hotel brings in about eighty million yuan in annual revenue. After all costs, the gross profit is more than ten million."

Henry Zhang reported carefully, glancing at the young man beside him who was about his own age.

This Summer Mu, they said, was still in school. But with his background—born into the Summer Family, a true golden spoon—he already held a gold mine like this before even graduating.

Just the land for the White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel is worth several hundred million, but things aren’t all smooth inside the Summer Family. And judging by Young Master Summer’s expression, he didn’t look too happy either.

Maybe he’s got something on his mind—could it be that a girl at school dumped him?

Thinking of that possibility, Henry Zhang couldn’t help but shake his head.

Just as he was thinking about it, Henry Zhang’s phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and saw the caller ID: Liam Li.

"If you have things to take care of, go ahead. I’d like to be alone for a while, take a walk by myself. If I need anything, I’ll call you." Summer Mu turned to glance at Henry Zhang.

He was wearing a plain shirt today, nothing flashy or branded.

The incident at SK Bar still weighed on Summer Mu, and he hadn’t been able to shake off the mood.

Whether it was Renee Qiu always siding with Howard Zhou, or maybe he really was living a pathetic life?

Summer Mu didn’t know, and didn’t care to figure it out. He wasn’t short on money, but he was short on the mood to spend it.

"Alright, if you need anything, just let me know." Henry Zhang bowed respectfully, turned away, picked up his phone, and answered, "Hello, Liam? You’ve arrived, right? Okay, I’ll come meet you myself in a bit."

"Come on, I'm a few years older than you—I'm basically your big brother. You're here as my guest, so of course I'll treat you right. Otherwise, if your dad finds out, he'll make me drink! I'll wait for you at the entrance, your rooms are all set, don't worry."

Hanging up, Liam Li looked smug. "All set. My buddy will come pick us up himself—he's the lobby manager here, in charge of a whole team."

"The resort's lobby manager isn't like a bank lobby manager. Here, the lobby manager handles all the guest rooms and reception. So Liam's friend must have a pretty wide network." Jason Zhao explained, making Sisi Shao and the others glance at Liam Li with new respect.

Liam Li was always a troublemaker at school, but after getting beaten up at Imperial Grand the other day, his authority took a hit. This trip, though, he was sure to become the center of attention again.

White Dragon Mountain isn’t even part of Brightsea City, so for Liam Li to know someone with connections out here shows how wide his social circle is.

"The scenery here is gorgeous, but it’s a shame—I can’t sense any spiritual qi at all."

Evan Lin sat in the back row, sensing for spiritual qi in the air. He didn’t find any, but he wasn’t disappointed.

Up front, everyone was chatting excitedly around Liam Li, while Evan Lin’s side felt especially quiet.

But Evan Lin didn’t pay any attention to their chatter. He wasn’t interested in worldly matters.

"Right now I’m at Qi Refining Level Two. There’s still a way to go before Level Three. The real question is, where can I find some top-quality spiritual herbs?"

Plus, finals are coming up. Once they're over, I can finally go home. It's been more than three hundred years since I've seen my mom.

Thinking of his mom, Joy Zheng, Evan Lin's eyes went blank for a moment, and a warm smile tugged at his lips.

"What's that idiot smiling about?"

Up front, Sisi Shao happened to turn and chat with Jason Zhao when she caught sight of Evan Lin's smile in the back row. Her brows furrowed and she couldn't help but sneer.

Everyone turned to look. Seeing Evan Lin smiling, they all found it a bit ridiculous.

"He’s probably just happy to be here."

Cathy Li shot a glance and made a face.

"Exactly. A kid from the sticks like him has never been to a place like this. All he knows is fighting—completely uncivilized," Simon Li chimed in.

"You guys are wrong. Back in the mountains, there are trees everywhere—just like here. Maybe he’s looking at the scenery and remembering his old home deep in the woods, so he feels like he’s finally come home. Ha!"

Lillian Wang acted out her words, making the scene vivid and drawing laughter from Liam Li’s group.

Lynn Chen turned her head and looked at Evan Lin sitting there. She didn’t want to admit it, but he really did look a bit silly and happy.

What was this guy smiling about anyway? There weren’t any cute girls nearby, and he was just sitting there grinning at the trees—what a weirdo!

Yolanda Fang, propping her head on one hand and listening to music, muttered, "If only Ethan Yi were here. Damn, he plays soccer so well—why won’t he look at me?"

Feeling a bit down, Yolanda Fang glanced at Evan Lin sitting all alone in the back row and mumbled, "If I’d known you’d be treated like this, I wouldn’t have dragged you along. Sorry, man."

Yolanda Fang shook her head, regretting her earlier stubbornness and wishing she’d sat with Evan Lin instead.

Meanwhile, Liam Li’s group kept mocking Evan Lin, which only made Yolanda Fang more annoyed.

"Wow! What a beautiful building!"

Just then, Sisi Shao spotted the restaurant ahead and gasped in amazement.

The resort was surrounded by a ring of white walls, carved with intricate patterns and topped with a sign that read: White Dragon Mountain Resort.

Inside stood a four-story restaurant in shades of brown and yellow, radiating a touch of classical elegance.
