Shawn Young’s mind whirled, recalling what Jade Swann had said to him before. He immediately formed the “Heaven-Flipping Seal” with both hands, silently chanting, “Yellow Dragon enters the sea, mysterious heavens submerge, embrace the origin, guard the unity, stars shift, six senses spin, heavenly heart opens, heed my intent and rush forth as the law commands!” A streak of purple light shot out from the submarine, transmitting into the deep sea. Shawn Young activated the “Soul Return Spell”—a power that ignored all geographical limitations—once again.
Meanwhile, inside the Yokosuka Naval Base, Jade Swann, Colonel Hank Han, and the rest had already launched their assault. Taking advantage of the chaos, they planted several C4 explosives around the test building, prepping for the final attack. Suddenly, Shawn Young’s consciousness invaded Jade Swann’s mind, making her freeze mid-action. She concentrated and began communicating with Shawn Young telepathically.
“Huh? Mission accomplished?! That’s awesome! Did you escape already?” Jade Swann blurted out anxiously.
“Yeah, but there’s no time to explain. You and Big Brother Hank need to pull out, fast! There’s a nuke set to blow in ten minutes! There’s a real chance Tokyo could get wiped out! We’re in a submarine heading out to Tokyo Bay—anyone coming to pick us up?” Shawn Young fired back urgently.
“Whoa! Destroy Tokyo?! You guys… you guys play way too big! Oh my god!” Jade Swann was so shocked by the news she nearly jumped out of her skin.
“Hey, it’s not us! The Japanese are running a nuke test in the deep sea. We just messed up the launch trajectory—now who knows where that warhead will end up! Got any way to get us out? Remember, I’ve got all the data on me!” Shawn Young said, his voice ringing in Jade Swann’s mind.
Jade Swann replied telepathically, “Damn, our sub is waiting for us out in the open sea, but there’s no way you’ll make it in ten minutes. Let me think of something!”
Jade Swann quickly explained Shawn Young’s situation to Colonel Hank Han. Hank’s brows shot up, and he pointed to a nearby military helicopter outside the base, saying, “Heh, that kid Shawn Young sure knows how to stir up trouble! Fine, I’ll take that chopper and go pick them up. You guys cover me—make some noise and draw the little devils’ attention so I can grab them.”
Several Dragonsquad members nodded, attaching silencers to their weapons and pulling out the remote detonators for the C4. They quickly spread out around the perimeter. Colonel Hank Han crouched low, sneaking up to the military helicopter—no one was inside. But the moment the engines started, every sniper and sentry in the area would zero in and turn him and the helicopter into Swiss cheese!
Colonel Hank Han was already belly-crawling into the helicopter’s cockpit, then flashed an “OK” hand sign to the Dragonfang Commandos. Instantly, the Dragonsquad members pressed the detonators in their hands.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Columns of fire shot up into the sky, explosions thundered one after another. In an instant, the powerful C4 charges leveled the laboratory building, sending shards of concrete, twisted rebar, and debris flying everywhere. The Self-Defense Force patrols stationed outside the secret bio-lab were decimated, with most killed and a handful wounded.
Chaos erupted. Colonel Hank Han seized the opportunity and darted into the cockpit of the military helicopter, firing up the engine in a flash. The rotors spun to life. The explosions had alerted snipers hidden in the area—they were now exposed. The waiting Dragonsquad members wasted no time, unleashing a hail of gunfire. The weapons made only soft 'whoosh whoosh whoosh' sounds, no muzzle flash at all, but a deadly barrage swept across, instantly wiping out the exposed snipers.
Turns out, their silenced weapons were the latest automatic models, newly developed domestically. Not only were they powerful and accurate, but when fired in the dark, there was no muzzle flash—perfect for covert operations. These prototypes, made by top weapon experts in Huaxia, hadn't entered mass production or even been assigned a model number. No one in the world knew about them yet.
Colonel Hank Han piloted the military helicopter up from the ground. Jade Swann and several Dragonsquad members quickly scrambled aboard. In less than thirty seconds, the helicopter skimmed low over Yokosuka Naval Base, hugging the sea as it sped toward Tokyo Bay.
Meanwhile, Jade Swann immediately contacted Shawn Young, telling him to surface. Shawn hurriedly told Jenna Chung to bring the small submarine up at full speed. In less than a minute, they surfaced, right in the middle of Tokyo Bay.
Not far away, Colonel Hank Han circled overhead in the helicopter and dropped a rope ladder. Jenna Chung climbed up first, followed by Shawn Young, dragging the dazed Fiona Fu. Before they could reach the top, Colonel Hank Han swung the helicopter's nose and sped away—two Japanese Self-Defense Force helicopters of the same model had appeared in the distance, moving to intercept.
Jade Swann and several Dragonsquad members raised their new automatic weapons, loading grenade rounds into the secondary barrels, aiming at the two incoming military helicopters trying to block them.
The two military helicopters closed in, broadcasting warnings and demanding identification. Colonel Hank Han cursed in Shanxi dialect, 'Screw you, you damn Japs! I’m going to mess you up today!' With that, he fired off two Sea Sparrow air-to-air missiles mounted on the helicopter.
Whoosh whoosh! The missiles streaked through the air, trailing flames toward the intercepting helicopters. One couldn't dodge in time and was hit, erupting into a brilliant fireball and crashing into the sea. The other managed a sharp evasive maneuver, barely dodging the missile.
