Jenna Chung gazed silently at the sea, her eyes filled with a complex mix of emotions—excitement, sorrow, and a swirl of feelings. Though the mission was accomplished, her comrades had all perished beneath the waves, and only she had survived. With these thoughts in mind, it was impossible for her to feel truly happy.
Shawn Young, on the other hand, was deeply worried about Luna Xiao and the other women still in Tokyo, his face clouded with anxiety. Jade Swann noticed his distracted look and quickly asked, "What's wrong? The mission's done and you’re the hero of the hour, so why the sour face? Someone owe you money or something?"
Shawn Young shook his head and said, "No, it’s just—they’re still in Tokyo! I need to warn them about the disaster right away! But I don’t have my phone."
"Oh! So your other ladies are still in Tokyo, huh? Better let them know to get out fast. Here, I’ve got a phone." Jade Swann pulled out a phone and handed it to Shawn Young.
Shawn Young hurriedly dialed May Gu’s number, knowing she’d be with Luna Xiao and Rachel Sasaki. The call connected, and before Shawn could speak, May Gu’s anxious voice came through: "Ah?! Where are you? Tokyo’s had a massive earthquake—buildings are collapsing everywhere, it’s total chaos... Are you okay?"
"I’m fine, really, I’m okay now. Where are you guys? And the others?" Shawn Young asked quickly.
"They’re all with me. We’re evacuating Tokyo, heading toward Nagano, destination Wakayama. Oh, and Annabelle Hung is with us—good thing she used her powerful Mountainbreaker Enforcers Taoist spells to protect us, or we’d have been crushed when those buildings came down!" May Gu said, still shaken.
"Listen, there’s a massive tsunami heading for Tokyo right now. Don’t go near the coast—get to high ground, immediately!" Shawn Young urged.
Suddenly, the phone signal weakened and was filled with static—the tsunami had already flooded many signal towers, making communication difficult.
"Don’t worry, Shawn. With me here, none of your women are getting hurt. I can tell you’re up to something important—we’ll meet again soon... Enough talk for now, we need to find somewhere safe to hide." On the other end, Annabelle Hung’s voice came through.
"Of course! Look at my buddy Shawn Young—not only is he handsome, but his skills are top-notch. If you were a woman, could you say no to him?" Han Feng grinned mischievously at Cloud Fu.
"Uh... Probably not. Might even throw myself at him! Hahaha..." Cloud Fu burst out laughing.
"Yeah, I think so too... Haha!" Han Feng joined in the laughter.
"Hmph! What are you guys laughing about? That guy is a total playboy!" Jade Swann glared at Han Feng and Cloud Fu, then shot Shawn Young a sharp look, clearly annoyed.
As everyone chatted, a massive, black submarine suddenly surfaced on the ocean, its long hull looking imposing and powerful.
Jenna Chung, who had been quiet until now, couldn't help but exclaim, "Whoa... that's a Huaxia nuclear submarine!"
"Heh, that's right!" Han Feng raised his eyebrows proudly at Jenna Chung's amazed reaction.
The nuclear submarine surfaced, and the helicopter circled overhead before slowly landing on the cleared deck.
Soon, a dozen Huaxia Navy sailors climbed out from the submarine, standing on the sleek, black sound-dampening tiles covering the hull.
A middle-aged Navy officer, around forty, with a dark complexion, sharp eyes, and a straight posture, emerged from the hatch. His rank was Senior Colonel, deputy division level—a pretty high position.
Once Han Feng, Shawn Young, and the others disembarked from the helicopter, they joined the Dragon God Special Ops squad members, lining up opposite the Navy crew.
"Line up! Salute!" the Senior Colonel barked.
The Navy sailors snapped into formation, standing solemnly as they gave Han Feng, Shawn Young, and the others a crisp military salute.
"Salute!" Han Feng shouted in response, leading the Dragon God Special Ops team in a sharp salute. Their expressions were serious, showing the highest respect between soldiers.
"Hello, everyone. You've worked hard. I'm Zhou Chengming, captain of this Type 095 nuclear submarine. By order of the Minister of Defense, I'm here to pick you up!" The Senior Colonel extended his hand to Han Feng.
"Oh, we're just support. They're the real heroes!" Han Feng waved humbly, pointing to Shawn Young, Cloud Fu, and the others.
"Salute to the heroes!" Zhou Chengming called out, and all the sailors immediately saluted Shawn Young and the others.
At that, Jenna Chung, Shawn Young, Cloud Fu, and Jade Swann all instinctively raised their hands to return the salute.
"Welcome! You're all heroes!" Zhou Chengming stepped forward and shook Shawn Young's hand.
"Oh... Hello!" Shawn Young quickly shook his hand. Zhou Chengming's grip was firm, and his gaze was sincere and enthusiastic.
Zhou Chengming also shook hands with Cloud Fu. When he got to Jenna Chung, her self-introduction revealed she was a North Korean agent, but Zhou Chengming still greeted her politely.
"We're still in international waters, and Japanese spy satellites could pass overhead any minute. Japan's hurting right now, so these are extraordinary times—let's keep it brief. We'll head inside the submarine and dive home before we talk further." Zhou Chengming said briskly.
"Got it." Shawn Young replied immediately.
Han Feng led several Dragon God Special Ops members forward. They were all old friends with Shawn Young, each giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder and a thumbs-up before heading into the submarine.
Han Feng stepped up and gave Zhou Chengming a firm handshake. Zhou Chengming patted his arm and said, "Major General Han, you all worked hard!"
"Uh, you know me?" Han Feng was a bit surprised.
"Haha, the Dragon God Special Ops are famous in Huaxia's military circles. Outsiders might not know, but of course I do!" Zhou Chengming smiled.
"Well, that's true. Heh, thanks! You're pretty awesome yourself—commanding a beast that could wipe out a small country in seconds! Respect!" Han Feng said sincerely.
"You're too kind, Major General Han—likewise! Let's head inside and talk more. If not for this special mission, we wouldn't have many chances to work with the Dragon God team." Zhou Chengming replied warmly.
