Traces of the Dark Organization

Evan Chu shot a glance at the guy talking, not thinking much of it at first—until his eyes nearly popped out of his head. What the hell? A whale with a head like a mountain and a body so huge he couldn't see the end of it, just showed up in front of him. This was the Mystic Whale Patriarch, no doubt about it. He remembered hearing from the Obsidian Tortoise Clan Chief that this beast's body stretched thousands of meters, but seeing it up close was a whole different story.

Compared to his own Divine Dragon body, he was basically an ant staring up at an elephant—totally outclassed in size. But Evan just snorted. So what if you're huge? I'm not scared of a first or second-layer Venerable Martial Realm punk. Taking you down is a walk in the park for me.

"Hey! Big-head freak, what are you hollering for? I'm in the middle of a slaughterfest and you just had to butt in, huh? Guess I gotta smack you around a bit, or you'll start thinking you're some kind of invincible king!" Evan shot back, full of swagger.

The Mystic Whale Patriarch didn't bother with words—he just blasted a jet of water right at Evan. For that monster, it was just a spit; for Evan, it was a flood, dozens of meters wide and hundreds long. If this thing kept spitting, it could drown a whole city without breaking a sweat.

Evan flashed aside, dodging the water jet like it was nothing, and cracked up. "Ha! Being huge is useless if you don't have real power. I heard your Mystic Whale Clan loves bullying all the other water races around here. Well, guess what—I'm here to clean house, and you should feel honored!"

"You little punk, go to hell!" The Mystic Whale Patriarch roared, opening its giant mouth and sucking in with a force that made the whole sea shudder. The suction was way stronger than Evan's Star-Siphon Method—he bet if this whale aimed at a mountain, it'd swallow the whole thing in one gulp.

Evan felt his body getting dragged toward the monster's mouth. His anger flared. Damn it, you want to eat me? Today I'll show you what real strength is!

As soon as he finished, Evan let his Chaos Dragon Force explode and unleashed Star-Cleave at full throttle. Now that he'd hit Eighth-Layer Saint Martial, his Star-Cleave was on a whole new level—water split open for hundreds of meters around, a vacuum zone formed, and a monstrous sword-qi slash tore straight at the Mystic Whale Patriarch.

This sword strike was like splitting heaven and earth—the entire Mystic Ice Sea trembled, and even the Obsidian Tortoise Clan felt the shockwaves. With a body that huge, there was no way the whale could dodge. The sword-qi slammed right into it, dead center.

Evan's Star-Cleave was strong enough to slice up even a fifth-layer Venerable Martial expert, so what chance did this first-layer whale have? Its massive body was shredded like it got hit by ten thousand blades at once—total carnage.

A body thousands of meters long, turned to chunks in a single blow. The destructive force was off the charts. Every aquatic beast within dozens of li got caught in the blast—blood dyed the sea red for a hundred li. Evan's strike was pure slaughter.

Evan wasn't about to leave loose ends. To wipe out any future threat to the Obsidian Tortoise Clan, he blasted straight into the Mystic Whale Clan's lair and sent out another Star-Cleave. After that, he took off fast—he knew this hit had wiped out most of the clan and their top goons.

When Evan surfaced, he saw a monster tsunami—waves hundreds of meters high crashing toward the shore. Good thing this place was deserted, or his attack would've buried thousands of lives under the waves.

After settling the Obsidian Tortoise Clan's mess, Evan flashed back to Frostbane Sect in a few teleports. The moment he landed, he saw a bunch of his women scouring the place, looking for him.

"Linfeng, where'd you run off to this time? Not even a word before leaving?" Selena Yale was the first to speak up. She was the big sister here—well, technically everyone saw Roxanne Lin as the real boss, but Selena had seniority, and Roxanne never bothered to fight over it.

"I just took Faye home and zipped right back. I told Joan He to pass the word—maybe she forgot?" Evan shrugged.

"Elder Joan got called away early by the Sacred Sword Sect Master. They found some clues about that dark organization and wanted her to help figure it out. You know, while you were gone these two years, she ran everything at Frostbane Sect. Us sisters barely had to step in—Joan's a real workhorse," Selena said.

"Oh yeah, I left the Savage Earth Dragon here when I went off last time. Why isn't he around now?" Evan asked, glancing around.

"Savage Earth Dragon took off for the Monster Beast Forest not long after you left. He said nobody dares mess with Frostbane Sect now, so he wants to get stronger and follow you back to the Dragon Clan," Mia Dream chimed in.

Hearing that, Evan immediately thought of Goldwing, Alex, and Macy Mei in the Monster Beast Forest. Who knew how they were doing now? Had Alex broken through yet? He really wanted to go check up on them.

He'd already made up his mind—when he headed back to the Heavenly Dragon Empire, he'd swing by to see them. Evan turned to the women, "I'm going back to the Heavenly Dragon Empire soon. Planning to bring my old man here, and maybe a few of your sisters too. So, who's coming with me?"

"We already talked it over—of course we're all coming! If we're welcoming Father-in-law, we gotta show up in person. Even an ugly daughter-in-law has to meet her in-laws sooner or later," Selena grinned.

Evan just shot Roxanne Lin a look. He knew she must've clued the others in about his plan to go to the Heavenly Dragon Empire.

"Linfeng, I think you should wait for Joan He to come back before making any moves. If we really found the dark organization's lair, it's best to wipe them out first. That's a huge hidden danger. Sure, you're unstoppable now, but if they hit Frostbane Sect while you're gone, the consequences would be a nightmare," Roxanne Lin said seriously.

Evan mulled it over and nodded. "Alright, we'll hold off for a few days. If we get solid news about the dark organization, great; if not, everyone just has to keep searching and stay sharp."

Just then, Joan He showed up. She was a little surprised to see Evan back, but quickly reported, "Sect Master, our scouts found traces of the dark organization. Senior Xiao thinks we might've tracked down their main base and wants to know if you want to go check out the action with him."

Evan snorted. "Who knows what Sean Xiao's up to—what's so fun about that? Send someone to tell him I'm heading to the Heavenly Dragon Empire. Whatever comes up, he can handle it himself. This young lord's got no time for sideshows."
