Evan Chu was a bit speechless. Having many women was supposed to be a blessing, but every time one of them wanted to have a child with him, it gave him a headache. Right now, he really hadn’t considered having more kids—if he ever did, it would have to wait until he’d rescued his mother. Lynn Chu was an accident, and Selena Yale happened because of her special constitution; none of those were truly his own choice.
If you asked him when he’d ever truly wanted it, the only time was in the Netherworld—and even then, he only agreed to Faye Knox and the others under pressure. Now that he’s back in the Azure Tide Ruins, he can’t just promise so easily anymore.
Evan could only brush it off: “I’ll do my best, but whether it happens or not is up to your luck. You know you can’t force these things.”
It wasn’t long before the room filled with happy moans. Of course, Evan didn’t release his life seed—not because he didn’t want to, but because the time wasn’t right. Serena Dream fell asleep in bliss before anything could happen.
Instead, Evan took care of Claire Ouyang and Lynne Nie as well before returning to his own room. At least tonight, all five women wouldn’t be left idle. He’d originally planned to spend more time with Roxanne Lin, but in the end, he held himself back.
Lying on his bed, Evan slowly thought through what he needed to do next. He had to make a trip back to the Heavenly Dragon Empire to bring over his father, Jenny Sima, Rhea Yang, and Lily Tang. As for Luna Chu, he’d just let her stay with Skylar Yule in the empire—Skylar would become emperor sooner or later, and Luna would be empress, living a peaceful life. That wasn’t so bad.
He’d have to visit the Obsidian Tortoise Clan once to deliver the Netherghost Violet Orchids, and then deal with the Mystic Whale Clan. No need to go to the White Tiger Clan—their orchids had already been taken away by Ouyang Hong, so going himself would be pointless. The only thing left was his three-year pact with Venerable Solus, who wanted Evan’s help to tear open the void—whether that was a trap or not, he couldn’t be sure.
After all, Solus was a soul-body and could seize someone’s flesh at any time—given Evan’s current strength, he might just be the perfect target. And finally, the most important thing of all: to go to the Dragon Shrine and rescue his mother. But the exact location of the shrine was still unclear, so he’d have to make a trip to the Vermilion Bird Temple first.
As for helping Luna restore her body, Evan decided there was no rush. As long as she didn’t insist on it, he’d leave the matter alone for now—he knew that if Luna ever did recover a physical form, she might choose to leave him.
Just thinking about all the things he still had to do made Evan’s head ache. But there was no helping it—these were things he had to accomplish, and he could only tackle them one by one.
The day passed quickly. The next morning, as soon as Evan got up, Ethan was already at his door. “Evan, when are we going back to the Obsidian Tortoise Clan? I’m really worried the Mystic Whale Clan might attack us. Shouldn’t we hurry up?”
“I was just about to bring that up. If you’re so worried, how about we leave right after I give instructions to the others? You must’ve gained a lot from this trip to the Netherworld, right?” Evan said.
“It was pretty good. My experience and strength both improved—really, I should thank you for that. No time to waste, go give your orders, I’ll wait for you outside the sect,” Ethan said.
Evan knew there was no time to delay, so after quickly explaining things to Joan He, he left Frostbane Sect with Ethan. As for Serena Dream and the others, Joan would pass the message along, sparing Evan another round of complaints.
It used to take almost a whole day to fly from Frostbane Sect to the Obsidian Tortoise Clan, but now that Evan had broken through to Eighth-Layer Saint Martial, his power was much greater. It was the perfect chance to test his teleportation. He said to Ethan, “Flying is way too slow—let me take you instead!”
With that, Evan grabbed Ethan and activated teleportation. The result shocked him—it was almost twice as fast as before, and the distance covered was more than double. Now, every jump took them six or seven thousand li away.
After a few jumps, Evan and Ethan arrived in a snowy, icy region—not far from Darkfrost Island. Ethan stared at Evan in awe. “Your speed is insane! In just a few breaths, we’re already here. I’m seriously impressed.”
Evan smiled. “It’s nothing special. Once you master teleportation, you’ll be able to do it too. You just need to learn how to use spatial power. Let’s go!”
Soon, the two arrived at Darkfrost Island. Ethan instantly transformed into his Obsidian Tortoise form and let out a loud call. The giant Mystic Ice Tortoise surfaced from the water. “Let’s go!”
“I’m not going in. Take these Netherghost Violet Orchids back to your clan leader. I’ll go wipe out the Mystic Whale Clan for you, then leave! You know my three-year pact with Venerable Solus is almost up, and I’ve still got a ton of things to handle, so I can’t afford any more delays,” Evan said.
“In that case, thank you. If you ever need help from the Obsidian Tortoise Clan, I’ll do anything for you—even risk my life!” Ethan said sincerely. By now, all he felt for Evan was respect, not rivalry.
With that, Evan flashed across the sky toward the vast Mystic Ice Sea. He didn’t know exactly where the Mystic Whale Clan was hiding, but as the region’s top overlord, it wouldn’t be hard to find them.
After flying for half an hour, Evan dove straight into the water. There were plenty of fish, shrimp, and sea monsters below, so he unleashed a wild slaughter on every sea monster he encountered. With his current power, killing anything below the Saint Martial Realm was effortless—a single sword strike was all it took.
In no time, Evan had slaughtered nearly a thousand sea monsters, filling the ocean with the stench of blood. The commotion alarmed the leaders of many sea clans—their people had been massacred, but none could stand against Evan’s strength. Their only hope was the Mystic Whale Clan.
Soon, the Mystic Whale Clan’s gates were nearly trampled flat. When the Mystic Whale patriarch heard what happened, he roared, “Who dares slaughter my people in my waters? I’ll flay them alive!”
Furious, the Mystic Whale Clan patriarch led his strongest elites toward Evan’s location—unaware that none of them would ever return.
It didn’t take long before they spotted Evan, who was still slaughtering monsters without using any real martial arts—just a casual sword swing was enough to kill.
The Mystic Whale patriarch was enraged. “Boy, how dare you massacre my people! Today, I’ll see you die a miserable death!”
