Light Space

Evan Chu stretched lazily, stood up, and when he saw Luna and Serena Frost both staring straight at him, he grinned. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I ran into some unusual circumstances and burned through too much Chaos Immortal Force, so I had to recover a bit."

"Evan, what actually happened to you? This place feels just like a light space—there aren't any other elemental molecules here, only these extremely rare light element particles. Who did you fight with? Your clothes are all torn to shreds." Luna said.

"Good thing you two are safe—I was worried sick about you. When we entered the forbidden ground, we were instantly sent to a dark space. It was pitch-black everywhere, couldn't see a thing, totally eerie.

After that, a bunch of Darkling monsters showed up—kill one wave and another would come. These things were strong, especially since they could unleash a kind of dark miasma. That stuff was insanely corrosive; even late-stage Immortal Emperors could get eaten away by it.

You can set up an energy barrier around yourself, but that dark miasma can still corrode it. I nearly died in that dark space—you two would've ended up widows. Luckily, I managed to kill the Darkling King and break through the domain, so here we are." Evan laughed.

Both women glared at Evan. This guy just says whatever comes to mind—what’s with the widow talk, it’s way too crude. "We’re not even married to you yet, so how could we be widows? Aren’t you a bit full of yourself?" Serena Frost retorted.

This guy really put her through the wringer last time—she’d been holding a grudge, so venting a little now felt pretty good.

Evan just smiled, stepped forward, and pulled both women into his arms, kissing each of them lightly on the cheek. "Who else could you possibly marry but me, Evan Chu? I’m the best man in the world—powerful, domineering, and ridiculously handsome. Anyone would fall for me at first sight.

Besides, I know your bodies inside and out—what’s big, what’s small, I’ve got it all memorized. My handprints are everywhere, so you can forget about ever escaping my grasp for the rest of your lives."

The two women didn’t even know what to say. Evan held them tight, and though they didn’t struggle, faced with this rascal, they could only accept their fate—but it was a fate they were more than happy to accept.

Meanwhile, in a certain palace in the God Realm, a middle-aged man paced back and forth, frowning. "I never thought the wisp of divine sense I left in the Immortal Realm would be destroyed, and it didn't even transmit an image. Just how strong is that person? Could a god have descended to the lower realm? But that's basically impossible."

"Dark God-King, stop overthinking it. Maybe the other side just has an incredibly powerful artifact—destroying a wisp of your divine sense is no big deal. Come on, let's go have a drink and talk it over." another middle-aged man said.

Evan, of course, knew nothing about any of this, but his actions had already drawn the attention of the God Realm. While the gods couldn't descend to the Immortal Realm, they could wait for Immortal Realm experts to ascend.

After Evan had his fill of holding Luna and Serena Frost, he finally let them go. Both women’s faces were red as ripe apples, and their chests ached from how tightly he’d squeezed them. This guy was so rough they almost wanted to kick him.

"The only way out of here is to defeat the Light King and break open this light space. The dark element’s property is corrosion, but I have no idea what the light element’s property is. This element is even rarer than wind or thunder, so its power must be extraordinary," Evan said.

"Evan, we’ve been walking around this space for days and haven’t even seen a shadow of a light monster. Finding one is probably harder than you think," Luna said.

"It’s only hard for you two. For me, it’s actually pretty easy. Want to bet?" Evan grinned.

Both women looked at Evan in confusion. Serena Frost asked, "Evan, are you planning to attack the space directly to lure the monsters out?"

"That’s the dumbest method. I’m way too clever to use something so crude—I’ve got a better way. But these light monsters are still going to be tough, so I’m a little worried about your safety," Evan said.

"Hey, we’re Immortal Lords! That’s top-tier in the Immortal Realm—you’re underestimating us," Serena Frost said, sounding a bit annoyed.

"It’s not that I’m underestimating you—I just care about you too much. I can’t bear to see you hurt. I’m worried about you, don’t you get how I feel?" Evan said.

"Can you be any more cringe? I swear, you’re so disgusting I might throw up everything I ate for the past few days. How did we end up falling for a guy like you—what rotten luck," Serena Frost rolled her eyes.

Basically, she meant: you’re way too green to use lines like that on me. Sure, I’m usually icy and aloof, but when it comes to talking trash, almost nobody can beat me.

Evan immediately released Shadow, Goldwing, and his Earth and Fire Golden Body avatars. Here, Luna and Serena Frost’s safety was the top priority—he couldn’t afford to be careless.

"Old Goldwing, Shadow, you two need to protect your sisters-in-law with everything you’ve got. I have no clue what might show up here, so better safe than sorry. That’s the oldest rule in the book—got it?"

"Don’t worry, Boss—we’ll do our best to protect them. But there aren’t any monsters around yet, so do we really need to start guarding them now?" Goldwing said.

Evan didn’t say anything. He just took out a white light-law bead from his storage ring, glanced at it, and tossed it far into the distance. Then he stood there, waiting for a miracle.

"Evan, what are you doing? You think one bead can attract monsters? There aren’t even any signs of life here," Serena Frost asked.

"Just wait—you’ll be amazed soon enough. You’ll see how incredible this bead is," Evan said with a smile.

Luna and Serena Frost backed away, both curious to see what kind of monsters Evan was talking about. They’d covered hundreds of miles and hadn’t seen a single sign of anything.

Just then, a rumbling sound came from underground. Both women jumped in shock—who would’ve guessed the monsters were hiding below? The ground shook violently, and suddenly, nearly a thousand glowing white monsters burst out in front of them…
