Cecilia Gu was always so proud!
She was Miss Mo, the dignified eldest daughter of the Mo Family!
How could her man be a playboy who flirted with countless women?
So from that day on, she started to distance herself from Charles Yin.
As she grew older, she found him less and less appealing.
What does that even mean? Cecilia Gu, the Yun Family...
With that prejudice in mind, she grew more and more resistant to Charles Yin, and to the engagement her family had arranged for her.
Just recently, to resist the engagement, Cici even ran away from her own wedding.
But now... Susie...
Cecilia Gu suddenly wasn't sure about her own feelings anymore.
Because that day by the rice field, when he hugged her, he whispered in her ear: "Susie, I've kept myself just for you. You can have me whenever you want."
When she heard that, she was completely stunned.
What did he just say?
He’s still a virgin?
After all these years and all those ex-girlfriends...
What does that even mean?
At first, those words didn’t mean much to Susie.
But after being shut in this little cabin for almost three days, she started to remember all sorts of things she’d ignored.
She remembered once, she accidentally saw Julian King with a famous pop singer. Without a word, she turned and left. Julian King apparently ditched the singer to chase after her and explain.
But she didn’t listen to his explanation—she even slapped him.
Was Julian King trying to explain himself back then?
Bit by bit, memories from the past three days replayed in Sophie Mo's mind like a movie.
Right now, as she listened to Julian King say he was giving up, why did her heart feel so stifled?
Julian King stood nearby, and the loneliness in his eyes was impossible to hide.
He tried to force a smile, but it looked more painful than crying.
Julian King simply turned away from the camera and quietly wiped his eyes.
To give up on someone you've loved for over twenty years—no one could handle that easily, right?
Charles Yin reached out and took Cecilia Gu's hand, saying nothing, offering her silent comfort.
Sophie Mo stood there, closed her eyes gently, bit her lip, then suddenly blurted out, "You gave up so easily, and you said you'd love me forever! Liar, big liar!"
Sophie Mo's words stunned everyone present.
Julian King was the first to react, turning to Sophie Mo in surprise, disbelief written all over his face.
Sophie Mo glanced at him, her eyes playful and teasing: "So if I reject you this time, you really plan to give up? If that's the case, you should've given up from the start and saved yourself all those wasted years."
"Susie..." Julian King stared at Sophie Mo, still in disbelief.
"Let me warn you, my brother is super tough! If you ever bully me, my brother will beat you up so badly your mom won't recognize you!" Sophie Mo stiffened her neck, still pretending to be strong.
Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin also realized what was happening. They exchanged a smile, and Jojo turned to leave, giving them space and leaving the camera on them.
Julian King's fingers were trembling.
Did she... did she just agree to be with him?
Julian King almost thought he was imagining things.
Sophie Mo continued, "And what you said to me that day—was it true?"
"Huh?" Julian King reflexively asked, "Which part?"
A flash of anger appeared in Sophie Mo's eyes: "Are you lying to me again?"
Julian King's mind finally caught up at the critical moment. He stood up straight and answered loudly, "No, I'm not lying! I'm really still a virgin! Those ex-girlfriends were just for eating, drinking, and hanging out—never slept with any of them! I swear! Ever since I was little, I knew you were the one. I'm yours, how could I let another woman touch me? Susie, I belong to you for life. I don't want anyone but you!"
Sophie Mo hadn't expected Julian King to say all that on camera.
A man almost thirty and still a virgin—it’s not exactly something to brag about...
But Sophie Mo was very satisfied!
Cecilia Gu stood to the side, nearly bursting out laughing.
Charles Yin leaned in close to Cecilia Gu and whispered, "Let's go. We shouldn't interrupt them any longer!"
Cecilia Gu nodded and quietly left with Charles Yin.
Mission accomplished, right?
Now, she and Charles could finally be together openly!
Thinking of this, Cecilia Gu felt a wave of relief wash over her.
She could be happy, and her best friends could find happiness too!
Is there anything in the world more worth celebrating than this?
Julian King, overwhelmed, rushed forward and grabbed Sophie Mo's hand: "Susie... you're not just saying this to make me happy, are you?"
Poor Julian King, rejected for over twenty years, had started to question his whole life.
"Hmph, believe it or not!" Sophie Mo huffed, trying to pull her hand away, but Julian King held on tight.
"Now that I've got you, I'm never letting go! Susie, you agreed to be with me in front of everyone today, so you can't back out!" Julian King said seriously. "Everything was broadcast to my family, you can't deny it now!"
Sophie Mo chuckled softly, "Idiot!"
"As long as I can be with you, call me an idiot or whatever you want. I don't care," Julian King replied sincerely.
Sophie Mo couldn't help but laugh.
Now everything was perfect—everyone could be happy!
Charles Yin held Cecilia Gu's hand as they strolled through the mountains.
The mountain breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers.
Cecilia Gu took a deep breath, feeling more relaxed than she ever had before.
The pressure that had weighed on her heart for so long disappeared in an instant.
Now she no longer had to feel guilty about those old promises.
Everything had vanished like smoke!
Charles Yin gently hugged Cecilia Gu. "Cici, now that everything's resolved, it's time to go home!"
Cecilia Gu smiled and nodded.
"Okay," Cecilia Gu whispered, snuggling into Charles Yin's arms. She wrapped her arms around his waist and let herself fully relax, leaning all her weight on him.
That feeling of relaxation after finishing everything—it was simply wonderful.
Charles Yin held Cecilia Gu contentedly, keeping many things buried in his heart.
He was a man—he'd shoulder all the burdens. All Cici needed to do was feel happiness!
The two of them cuddled together, talking for hours.
But as time passed, whenever Cecilia Gu thought back to that day, she couldn't quite remember what they'd said.
All she remembered was how truly happy she felt that day.
Game over—the four of them headed back by car.
When they left, the atmosphere was awkward. On the way back, it was almost sickeningly sweet.
No matter where Sophie Mo went, Julian King followed.
Even Charles Yin, the model husband, couldn't help but tease the two lovebirds for being so mushy.
"We'll report back to Grandpa Mo, and then head home." Charles Yin gently wrapped his arms around Cecilia Gu's waist and whispered in her ear, "We'll throw you a proper birthday party."
Cecilia Gu pouted playfully, "We need to discuss that first."
"Hmm? What is it?" Charles Yin asked, looking down at her.
"I can't celebrate my birthday in N City," Cecilia Gu said apologetically, looking at Charles Yin. "My parents will be back in K City soon to tidy up our old family courtyard. I have to celebrate my birthday there."
"Why?" Charles Yin asked, confused.
"It's tradition," Cecilia Gu sighed softly. "Even though we're back together, we haven't remarried yet. Legally, we're still single..."
Charles Yin muttered under his breath, tightening his embrace. "I don't care. We'll just throw two birthday parties!"
Just as Cecilia Gu was about to speak, Charles Yin added, "Didn't you say you wanted to help Ethan pick a suitable wife? How can you do that with only one party? We'll hold one in K City and one in N City—two parties, double the candidates."
Cecilia Gu thought about it—he was right, she still needed to help Ethan find a wife!
"Alright, let's do that," Cecilia Gu nodded. "And I can see if there's anyone suitable in K City too."
