Wendy Parker was truly happy for Mia Dou, and Mia Dou was genuinely happy for Wendy Parker.
Coco Shen, on the other hand, wasn't very happy.
Honestly, she wished that jerk of a father would really lose everything and be ruined.
But, it's fine.
Heaven had given her the chance to take revenge personally.
This time, she would make that man pay for everything, repaying all the suffering her mother endured over a lifetime.
The three of them were once again called to the headquarters of Yin Enterprises.
Alex, B, C, and D appeared before them at the same time.
Wendy Parker, Mia Dou, and Coco Shen instinctively tensed up.
Those four represented the top assistant team at Yin Enterprises!
How could they possibly deserve to stand and work alongside them?
Alex spoke up, "It's an honor to become colleagues with you. In the days to come, we'll be working together."
The three girls were so nervous, they didn't know what to say.
Luckily, Alex wasn't the type to put on airs. He continued, "You three have gone through round after round of tests to get here. But this isn't your destination—it's your starting point. From now on, you'll be serving Mrs. Yin, the wife of the CEO of Yin Enterprises."
Wendy Parker: "Hiss..."
Mia Dou: "Ah..."
Coco Shen: "Wow..."
C softly laughed, "Becoming a qualified assistant to the CEO's wife isn't easy. The training you had before was just a rough selection. The real training is yet to come. You'll be put through the strictest tests—it'll be tough. Are you ready?"
"We're ready!" Wendy, Mia, and Coco answered in unison.
Even if it meant walking through fire and blades, they'd push through!
"According to tradition, you need to pick a codename too," Alex said after thinking for a moment. "But since you're assistants to Mrs. Yin, you can't use our numbering system."
Besides, the codenames from A to Z are already taken.
It wouldn't be their turn anyway.
Alex made the final decision: "From now on, your codenames will be Wendy, Mia, and Coco. You can go sign your official contracts now. You have three days to get your things in order. After three days, come back to the company for orientation. Real experts will teach you everything about serving Mrs. Yin. Plus, some female bodyguards will be joining you for training. Get to know each other, because teamwork is everything."
"Understood!" Wendy, Mia, and Coco answered together.
The moment they signed the official contracts, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
It all felt like a dream.
They had actually become employees of Yin Enterprises!
And not just any employees—they were assistants to Mrs. Yin!
Oh my god, someone pinch me! Am I dreaming?
"Wendy, am I dreaming? Pinch me," Mia tugged at Wendy.
Wendy obliged and pinched her hard, making Mia yelp in pain.
As she cried out, all three girls suddenly burst into laughter.
But their laughter was tinged with tears.
Coco Shen was a smart girl. She seemed to understand why Hu had kept her.
Her unyielding spirit was just like Mrs. Yin's in the past.
Coco reached out to Wendy and Mia, "From now on, the three of us will be Mrs. Yin's assistants. I'm sorry I didn't stand up for you before, but that won't happen again."
Wendy and Mia shook hands with Coco. "It's nothing. You didn't speak up for us, but you never hurt us either. I trust you."
Coco smiled softly and said, "I've always been cautious with strangers. It's hard for me to trust anyone."
Coco knew that if she didn't clear the air, it would be hard for her, Wendy, and Mia to become a real team.
The clever girl immediately shared her story: "I was only six when I saw my so-called father beat my mother nearly to death. Do you know how much I hated him? I was weak, unable to protect my mom, relying on her just to survive. Later, she took me away from that broken home. I watched my father marry another woman and bring an illegitimate child home, ignoring me ever since."
"My mom worked herself to the bone just for pride, giving me the best education and environment. I always thought, when I grew up, I'd make sure she had a comfortable life. But I never expected her to die of stomach cancer. I knelt outside my father's door, begging him to see her one last time. All I got was his cold back. After she died, I handled her funeral alone. Then he showed up to fight for her inheritance, claiming all the money was his. Luckily, my mom had made a will and transferred everything to me."
"I'm lucky I was already an adult and could keep what my mom left me. Because of that man, I never believed in love or trusted anyone. I've always kept to myself, never opening up, just focusing on my own work. Over time, I lost the ability to make friends."
Coco Shen smiled, "But I'm glad I haven't lost my ability to work. My story is simple: I'm someone who will never give up on my job or fall in love. Since I took this job, I'll stick with it till I retire. I'll be a qualified assistant."
After hearing Coco Shen's story, Wendy and Mia were shocked!
They thought they were just listening to a story.
But it was all true.
Coco Shen's life was just too tragic.

Wendy and Mia also shared their own stories with Coco Shen. Being honest with each other would help them work better together.
After hearing Wendy's story, Coco Shen frowned and disagreed, "It's right to be filial, but your brother's mess isn't yours to clean up."
Wendy said helplessly, "I know, but I can't just stand by. My parents aren't capable, so my brother's problems are automatically mine. That's how it is for girls where I'm from. My parents let me finish college, which is already pretty good. I'm grateful."
Coco Shen knew she was getting too personal, so she stopped talking.
Mia spoke up, "Let's talk about this later. If your family gets out of hand, we'll help you."
Coco Shen nodded.
Wendy smiled, "Yeah, I know."
And so, Cecilia Gu's Assistant Trio was officially formed.
Back at her rented apartment, Wendy renewed her lease for another three months.
Because for the next three months, she, Mia, and Coco would be going somewhere for special training.
This training would transform them, making them truly qualified assistants.
Before leaving, Wendy called home: "Mom, I got some of my salary in advance. I'm sending you the money now. Also, please talk to my brother—don't let him be so reckless anymore. If anything happens again, I'm not getting involved."
Wendy's mother was happy to get the money, but didn't care about her warning. "You're the big sister, it's your job to take care of your brother. We raised you so you could help him. Anyway, you're busy at work, so don't worry about us. Just remember to send money when it's due. We'll keep an eye on your brother—he won't get into trouble again."
After hanging up, Wendy felt a bit uncomfortable.
She used to think supporting her brother was fine.
But as a daughter, Mia was so much luckier. Her parents spoiled her and gave her everything she wanted.
Even though Coco Shen's dad was a jerk, her mom truly loved her!
Her mom even divorced and worked hard on her own, all for Coco Shen.
Why couldn't she get her mother's love, too?
Wendy flipped through her calendar, forcing herself to push away the sadness.
All she needed to think about now was work, work, work!
She had to work hard!
She would become a truly qualified assistant!
Three days later, Wendy, Mia, and Coco boarded a Yin Enterprises bus, leaving N City for the mountains.
The road got rougher and rougher, and the bus shook so much Wendy nearly threw up.
Just when she couldn't take it anymore, they finally arrived.
A tall camp appeared in front of the three girls.
Where... where was this place?
If Alex hadn't come with them, the three of them would've thought they'd been sold off to the mountains!
A woman with short hair and a commanding presence walked out of the camp, dressed in a training uniform.
She looked at Wendy and the others, then said to Alex, "They're here for the special training?"
Alex smiled, "Yes, I'll leave them in your hands for the next three months."
"Come in," the woman called, tossing her head at Wendy, Mia, and Coco before turning and heading inside.
Wendy, Mia, and Coco exchanged worried glances and followed her.
The whole camp felt cold and intimidating.
"Don't worry, you'll only be trained as assistants. The other training isn't for you," Alex explained. "You're just life assistants, not bodyguards."
Wendy finally relaxed.
She was scared to death.
The three of them were assigned to a dorm in the back row. As soon as they put their things down, a group of fierce-looking people came out of the next room, and they were so scared they almost couldn't walk.
Oh god, oh god.
What kind of place was this?
The short-haired woman who greeted them earlier walked over and said, "I'm your supervisor for the next three months. My codename is Owl. You'll have professional instructors to teach you everything you need to know."
