Circle Within Circle

Leon Lu spoke simply, sizing up Ray Lei with a gaze that could only be described as looking down from above.

As soon as he spoke, Ray Lei got visibly excited, his emotions surging even stronger.

"Absolutely!"

Ray Lei nodded eagerly: "Master Lin from Seacrest actually stayed at my house for a while before!"

He still didn’t know exactly what kind of status Leon Lu had, but just judging by how Barry Shen, Gloria Rong, and the others treated him, it was obvious—Leon Lu’s identity definitely wasn’t simple.

And as for Leon Lu’s last line, about making friends with him—Ray Lei was honestly thrilled.

It sounded casual, but the weight behind those words was no joke.

Kind of like what’s happening with Evan Lin these days.

If Barry Shen’s group found out Evan Lin was friends with Young Master Ju the Third—even if Evan had zero background—just having that connection would mean Barry and the others would never dare mess with him lightly.

That kind of connection is a huge asset when you’re mixing in these circles.

"Then lead the way up front?"

Leon Lu was moved by this.

The people standing with Leon Lu, who had barely glanced at Ray Lei before, also shifted their gaze a little.

"If you really pull this off, you can hang out with us from now on."

Another person next to Leon Lu spoke up, and not just Ray Lei—Barry Shen got excited too.

Everyone standing with Leon Lu has a treasure trove behind them.

"Let’s go then—don’t just stand there!"

Leon Lu urged them on.

"There’s still someone upstairs who hasn’t come down yet."

Gloria Rong had just finished speaking, then turned to glance at the elevator behind her. The elevator hadn’t come down yet, and next to the doors you could see marks left from earlier fights.

It was probably because of the earlier fight between the Teenage King of the Ring and Dylan Hu that the elevator here broke down.

"Let’s not wait, Gloria. Let’s head over first and follow Ray Lei to check it out."

Barry Shen squinted, speaking softly: "As for that kid, we can just call him once he comes down."

"No need to pay much attention—it's such a small place, even if he's dumb, he couldn't possibly get lost."

Barry Shen’s words made Gloria Rong think for a moment, then she nodded in agreement.

Ray Lei wanted to say something, but seeing how eager Leon Lu and the others looked, he had to bite the bullet and stride in their direction.

He prayed Evan Lin wouldn’t slip away at this moment.

A little further away, you could see a section that had been cordoned off.

That area used to be reserved for high-end guests to watch boxing matches, but now it's basically reserved for Master Lin from Seacrest.

With him stationed there, the underground boxing arena’s popularity had exploded.

As Ray Lei and the others walked over, Master Lin from Seacrest sipped his tea. He glanced at Logan Rowe, who was scratching his head nearby, and at Molly Su, who was much quieter and calmer. In truth, he was extremely anxious inside.

These days, Mason Shang’s whole family was mobilized to search for Brandon Rowe.

Master Lin from Seacrest kept hoping the Teenage King of the Ring would show up—so he could show off in front of Logan Rowe and Molly Su, maybe even get a chance to connect with the Rowe family.

For that, he hadn’t even helped Mason Shang deal with the kid who injured Zack Meng—the kid was supposedly at Huaqing University for the math modeling contest, and by now that contest must be over.

If the Teenage King of the Ring didn’t show up, and the kid from the math contest slipped away too, then neither the Shang nor Rowe families would have a chance to connect with him.

It wouldn’t be worth it.

Master Lin from Seacrest was feeling anxious inside.

After waiting so many days, coming here to watch the boxing matches was fun at first, but now it’s getting damn boring.

Logan Rowe sighed and turned to Master Lin from Seacrest: "Master Lin, this Teenage King of the Ring you keep mentioning—who is he, really? Did he already slip away?"

Logan Rowe sighed and turned to Master Lin from Seacrest: "Master Lin, this Teenage King of the Ring you keep mentioning—who is he, really? Did he already slip away?"

How long do I have to wait before I get to see you fight?

Logan Rowe asked, curiosity mixed with impatience in his tone.

"Should be soon."

Master Lin smiled slightly, keeping his composure, though he was thinking about whether he should find someone to impersonate the Teenage King of the Ring and put on a good show in the ring.

After all, chances to connect with the ancient martial Rowe family were extremely rare.

If he missed it, he’d really miss it.

Besides, he was impersonating Master Lin from Seacrest—this identity was getting him some reputation here in Beijing, but if he kept pretending and the real Pointing-to-Mystery Master Lin found out, the consequences would be disastrous.

Although he thought that if he really faced the true Master Lin from Seacrest, he might be able to put up a fight—not necessarily lose outright—but the risks would be enormous.

"Enough about all that useless stuff."

Logan Rowe chuckled, and someone walked over, bent at the waist.

"Master Lin, someone says they know you and would like to come in and meet you."

The person smiled, clearly understanding that Master Lin was a formidable figure, and since the arena’s business had boomed thanks to him, his attitude was naturally respectful.

"Who?"

Master Lin raised his eyebrows and asked.

"He said his name is Ray Lei."

Hearing that name, Master Lin immediately thought of the Lei family, but their status was low and he didn’t care much. Just as he was about to wave the person off and have Ray Lei leave, Master Lin suddenly glanced at Logan Rowe.

If...

If Logan Rowe saw others showing him respect, it might deepen Logan’s impression of him.

With that thought, Master Lin nodded and spoke in a low voice.

"Let him in."

The person nodded and retreated.

"That’s a kid from a family I met before..."

Master Lin looked at Logan Rowe, intending to explain and perhaps boost Ray Lei’s status a bit, so that when Ray Lei was humbled later, it would highlight his uniqueness.

Unexpectedly, he had barely finished speaking.

Logan Rowe turned to Molly Su: "Molly, should we go somewhere else?"

"Go out for a stroll? Get some Beijing roast duck? If we keep waiting here, who knows how long it’ll be before we see this Teenage King of the Ring."

"We can come back when the Teenage King of the Ring shows up."

Logan Rowe said, ignoring Master Lin’s slightly stiff expression, and turned to him: "When the Teenage King of the Ring shows up and fights you, call me and I’ll come watch the excitement!"

Molly Su nodded, not saying much.

Actually, what she was thinking was that if Lin Yi were here, things would be much more interesting.

After all...

He also seemed to have the title of Master Lin from Seacrest.

Thinking of Lin Yi, Molly Su’s gaze softened a bit.
