His Surname Is Lin

Without giving Master Lin a chance to speak, Logan Rowe finished his sentence and stood up right away.

Molly Su nodded, not rejecting the suggestion.

Right now, the task of searching for Brandon Rowe had basically been handed over to Mason Shang and the others. Over the past few days, Logan Rowe had planned to bring Molly Su here to Illustrious Gate Arena for some excitement, while Molly was curious about this so-called Master Lin from Seacrest—wondering just how capable he really was.

But after waiting and waiting, he never made a move. So, at this moment, Molly simply stood up along with Logan.

"You’re... You’re leaving already?"

Master Lin stood up, opened his mouth, his face full of anxiety.

"No need to see us off. Call me when you finally get a chance to fight—I’ll come back and watch then."

Logan Rowe stretched lazily, then walked out with Molly Su. "How about we check out Drum Tower later? Or climb the Great Wall tonight?"

"I’ve only ever visited the Great Wall during the day. They say the night view is something special."

Logan Rowe spoke gently beside Molly Su, but she stayed silent and showed no real interest in going, leaving Logan with a vague, hard-to-describe feeling in his heart.

"Master Lin."

Ray Lei spoke softly, smiling, "Nice to see you again. Last time you were at my place, I didn’t even get a chance to greet you before you suddenly left."

He was hoping to get closer, but Master Lin sat in his chair with eyes closed, gave a faint grunt, and cut him off: "If you’ve come to see me, just say what you want."

"It’s like this—they’re my friends, and all hope to have the honor of meeting you, so they asked me to play the middleman."

As Ray spoke, Gloria Rong, Leon Lu, Barry Shen and the others sized up Master Lin. Everyone’s gaze was different, all curious about this recently infamous figure, rumored to have killed a Pointing-to-Mystery expert.

After he finished, Ray Lei saw Master Lin’s brow furrow, looking impatient, so Ray quickly added, "They’re all heirs of major Beijing families."

"Major families?"

Hearing those words, Master Lin’s mind stirred. He turned to look at the group in front of him: "Go ahead then, tell me—how big is your family?"

"Hello, Master Lin. I’m Gloria Rong. My family doesn’t have much money, but the older generation managed to carve out a realm." Gloria thought for a moment and spoke up.

The phrase ‘carve out a realm’ made Master Lin’s brows rise and his expression soften. He didn’t bother with Gloria’s modest claim about money; he nodded. "Hmm. If I’d been born in chaotic times, I’d probably have done my part for the country, too."
