This discovery left Evan Chu both surprised and overjoyed: the rate at which the dark miasma was corroding his body was actually slowing, while the seven elements within him were multiplying rapidly.
Even the nearly depleted fire element suddenly surged back in abundance. Evan couldn't figure out why, but he had no time to dwell on it.
Gradually, the corrosive effect of the dark miasma stopped altogether. Instead, it began to boil together with the seven elements inside Evan Chu, creating an unstoppable surge.
Soon, all eight elements began to spin inside Evan Chu’s dantian, slowly at first, then faster and faster, until it felt like every elemental particle in his body was gathering there. His dantian swelled dramatically, making him feel like he was about to explode. He couldn’t help but panic.
"What the hell are these elemental particles doing? Are they trying to blow me up or what? Right now, I can't control them at all—what the hell is going on?" Evan Chu cursed internally, feeling utterly frustrated.
Meanwhile, the dark monster noticed that the dark miasma around Evan Chu had suddenly vanished and found it strange. It hadn’t expected this kid to actually be able to devour dark miasma, but when it saw the white bones exposed on Evan’s arms and body, it was instead delighted.
"Kid, you’re way too bold to actually absorb my dark miasma. Today, I’ll make sure you’re completely corroded!" the dark monster snarled, then unleashed another massive wave of dark miasma.
When the dark miasma reached Evan Chu, he didn’t use the Star‑Siphon Method—he simply couldn’t, as his dantian’s Chaos Immortal Force felt completely sealed and refused to obey his commands.
Yet the dark miasma entered Evan Chu’s body on its own, quickly joining the army of elements spinning inside him. It had no corrosive effect on his body whatsoever. Evan was even more baffled by this.
"He absorbed it again? This kid’s defense is insane. My dark miasma can’t take this kind of abuse. If one more try doesn’t work, I’ll have to find another way," the dark monster muttered to itself, then sent out another stream of dark miasma.
Once again, Evan Chu absorbed it directly. The dark monster was shocked by this outcome and immediately lunged at Evan. But just then, the dark domain around Evan vanished, and he regained his physical freedom.
But he was still helpless—he couldn’t move at all. Inside his dantian, it felt like a battlefield, completely out of his control.
"Goldwing, Shadow, stop that thing!" Evan Chu shouted. Right now, he could only rely on them for help, and at the same time, he summoned his Fire Golden Body and Earth Golden Body avatars.
The Earth and Fire Golden Bodies immediately unleashed two Star‑Cleaves. These attacks were now just as powerful as Evan Chu’s own Star‑Cleave. While they couldn’t kill the dark monster outright, they could at least block its assault on Evan.
Goldwing and Shadow rushed over as well. Seeing Evan Chu’s condition, Shadow was instantly enraged and unleashed a Lion’s Roar, blasting the enemy hundreds of meters away before it could regain its footing.
The dark monster’s body was left in ruins. The Earth and Fire Golden Bodies, along with Goldwing, charged forward. Even though the space was pitch-black, the Fire Golden Body ignited flames on its body, lighting up the area for hundreds of meters.
Goldwing flapped his wings, sending a barrage of golden feather-arrows at the dark monster. The monster barely had time to summon more dark miasma and could only scramble to block the powerful arrows.
The Earth and Fire Golden Bodies kept attacking with Star‑Cleaves. With a three-pronged assault, the dark monster—only at mid-stage Immortal Emperor—couldn’t withstand it. Before long, it was slain by the Fire Golden Body’s flaming sword‑qi, its body burned to ashes.
Meanwhile, Evan Chu was anxiously inspecting the situation inside his dantian. He didn’t know how much time had passed, but eventually the eight swirling elements slowed and stopped, then condensed into a single pearl with eight distinct colors.
But this pearl had a missing segment, as if the sphere were divided into nine parts and only eight were filled in. Evan Chu was startled by this, but also overwhelmed with joy.
