Master Lin

"Try it? Of course I'm going to try!" Inside Lakeview Pavilion, Hank "Doggy" Han roared at Evan Lin, "Today, I'm going to make sure you can't walk out of here in one piece!"

I'll show you—I'm not the kind of guy who lets anyone walk all over me!

No sooner had Hank finished speaking—

Everyone suddenly heard a deafening bang.

Right behind Evan Lin, the front doors of Lakeview Pavilion were smashed open!

Five dust-covered Hummers barreled straight into the hall, their grilles still dragging chunks of brick and rubble from the wall.

A few people who were standing close by didn't even have time to react before they were sent flying.

"Who are you people?!"

Hank Han and Boss Han's faces changed instantly.

The guests behind them stared at the Hummers, feeling an overwhelming aura of menace that made them shiver all over.

Lily Zhong looked utterly stunned.

Old Man Zhong still had one finger frozen in mid-air, pointing at Evan Lin, while his other hand clutched his injured backside.

The Hummer doors swung open—five cars, twenty burly men in suits leapt out, each gripping a gleaming steel pipe.

Leading them was a fat guy with a face full of swagger and rage. He swept his glare across Hank Han and the others, then fixed his eyes on the people crowding around Evan Lin.

Wherever his gaze landed, people flinched in fear.

From the back seat, Shawn Shi and Dong Zi climbed out, faces grim and eyes full of ruthless intent.

"Where are you from? What do you want?!"

Hank Han gritted his teeth, heart pounding, but with so many people watching, he couldn't back down—otherwise, he'd lose all his street cred.

"Clear out all those punks by the table!"

Big Tank ignored Hank Han completely and barked out a furious order.

At Big Tank's order, the suited bruisers surged forward, swinging steel pipes and beating down everyone crowded around Evan Lin.

Most of these guys were just small-time Clearstream punks—they'd never seen muscle like this. The hall erupted in screams and sobbing, some people even sprawled on the floor bawling for their moms.

The guests' faces paled, Boss Han and Hank Han's knees trembled—none of them had ever seen anyone as unreasonable as Big Tank.

"Brother, did the Han family do something to offend you? If so, please tell us straight. Otherwise, isn't this a bit much?" Boss Han stepped forward and shouted at Big Tank.

"Reason? I don't bother with reason. What are you gonna do about it?"

Big Tank shot them a sideways glare, and Boss Han and Hank Han instantly went pale.

Hank Han was shaking with rage. "You aren't afraid I'll call the cops and have you all arrested?!"

"Go ahead, call the cops! If you don't call, you're my grandson. And if you do, forget about eating three meals a day—I'll send my boys to your house every day to feed you crap. I've got a hundred brothers behind me. You call once, maybe one of my guys goes in, but you’ll be eating shit for a day. Let's see if you choke to death first, or if my brother finishes his tea at the police station before you do!"

Big Tank's words were loud, clear, and totally unyielding.

Boss Han heard this and instantly realized they were dealing with a total street thug.

If they called the cops now, it’d just be a group brawl—maybe a few days in lockup, tops.

But what about after that?

Boss Han racked his brain but couldn't come up with any solution.

"Big Tank."

While everyone was too intimidated to speak, they suddenly heard the young man sitting off to the side speak up quietly.

Countless eyes instantly locked onto the teenager.

They watched him take a sip of tea and set his cup down. Just as people were wondering who Big Tank was—

The swaggering fat thug immediately changed his tune—his fierce glare melted into a fawning grin.

"Hey! Big Tank reporting in! What are your orders, sir?"

Big Tank lumbered forward, bowing his head and hunching over beside Evan Lin, ready for instructions.

Shawn Shi and Dong Zi stepped forward, faces flushed with excitement and deep respect. "Master Lin!" they called.

"Master Lin?"

"Master Lin? Who's that?"

"Damn! Who is that guy anyway? Are all these people his underlings?!"

The guests were shocked to their core by the scene unfolding before them.

Lily Zhong, sitting next to Evan Lin, had seen Imperial Grand KTV’s Victor Yu treat Evan with respect before—but she’d never imagined he commanded this kind of power!

Her eyes widened in amazement, her heart pounding with shock and a strange sense of unease.

The young guys who’d chatted with Evan Lin earlier, and the women from the bus, were now standing in the crowd, hearts racing at the sight.

"Go bring that old man over here."

Evan Lin glanced at the crowd, his gaze landing on Old Man Zhong—who was frozen mid-motion, one finger pointed and the other hand clutching his backside, face twisted in terror and awe.

As soon as Evan Lin spoke, Big Tank and his crew all turned to follow his gaze.

The Han family’s guests instinctively parted, clearing a path through the crowd as every eye locked onto Old Man Zhong.

"Oh my god..."

Pinned by all those hostile or pitying stares, Old Man Zhong collapsed to the floor in fright. Instinctively, he turned and tried to crawl away toward the back door, scrambling on all fours.

Just then, Shawn Shi strode forward, planted one foot, and used its momentum to leap clear over everyone’s heads—landing right in front of Old Man Zhong. He bent down and, with barely any effort, lifted the old man up one-handed.

"Is this a movie or something?!"

"Did that guy just fly?"

"Holy crap, did I just see Superman?!"

Plenty of people were stunned by Shawn Shi’s move. Boss Han looked absolutely miserable, and even Hank Han realized things had taken a serious turn.

Skills like that are way beyond ordinary people!

Shawn Shi lugged Old Man Zhong over to Evan Lin, bowing respectfully. "Master Lin, how should we deal with him? Break his arms and legs, kill him, or cripple him and feed him to the dogs?"
