To be pregnant for only one or two months and then give birth—such a strange occurrence was bound to stir unease and fear, and could easily be exploited by those with ill intentions. She herself did not mind, but she did not want her baby to be surrounded by curious, suspicious gazes. Even if her child was different from ordinary children, in the end, she was just a child. She could not bear to see the misfortunes she and Damien Gray had endured happen again to her baby!

Whether it was their hidden, formidable powers or their unusual birth, both would bring trouble upon them!

Just as she was thinking this, a sudden wail erupted—Roxy Shangguan was crying her heart out in the nurse’s arms!

Morgan Shangguan took her into her arms, frowning as she asked, “What happened?”

The nurse, trembling with fear, replied, “The little princess wanted to play with the young prince, so I carried her over. At first, everything was fine, but somehow they started fighting!”

The nurse was only a temporary hire, just an ordinary person. After all, she was caring for both the young prince and the little princess, so she dared not be careless, fearing any mishap.

If Yun Su weren’t pregnant and unable to overexert herself, and with no other women in the prince’s residence, she wouldn’t have needed to find someone temporarily. But since Ethan Gray and Roxy Shangguan were rather special, Morgan wasn’t worried about them being bullied. Besides, this nurse was honest, gentle, and careful—entrusting Ethan and Roxy to her care made Morgan feel at ease.

Roxy Shangguan pouted, looking aggrieved at Morgan, hoping she would stand up for her!

But Morgan merely waved her hand for the nurse to leave. Damien Gray glanced at Ethan Gray and snorted, “A man who bullies women isn’t a real man!”

"Pfft..." Morgan couldn’t help but burst into laughter as she hugged Roxy. To think he would say something like that—when had the Ghostmaster ever cared about cherishing women? And now he was lecturing his own son!

Roxy Shangguan sniffled at just the right moment, her face full of grievance. Morgan pinched her soft little cheek and said with a laugh, “Go ahead and keep pretending! How did you bully your brother?”

Roxy still pouted, looking utterly wronged. Damien Gray snorted, “Who could bully that little rascal? He’s not even afraid of his own father!”

Ethan Gray shot him a disdainful glance, not bothering to argue with him at all!

Morgan reached out and pinched him, this time making Damien Gray feel wronged. Why did she always take that rascal’s side? It seemed he really ought to think about giving his son away!

Morgan tipped her head up and kissed him, laughing, “Aren’t I always bullying the Ghostmaster? They came out of my belly—do you think I don’t know what they’re like?” Ethan Gray couldn’t care less about people, so why would he bother bullying his sister?

Damien Gray understood this too. But ever since Ethan was born, he’d been provoking his father—the two were constantly at odds, always competing. This sort of thing happened from time to time. Damien seemed determined to blame everything on Ethan, but Ethan couldn’t even be bothered to roll his eyes at him. In comparison, Ethan seemed far more composed!

The main thing was, every time Damien annoyed him, Ethan would reach out his chubby little hand to Morgan, wanting her to hold him. And Morgan never refused his cuddles, which made Damien stomp with frustration!

Morgan secretly felt delighted. Thinking back to the days when she’d been the one left frustrated, she was finally getting her payback! But she knew her limits—she always stopped before going too far. Otherwise, if she really pushed Damien, he might just give their son away!

Roxy sniffled, as if she knew her mother was smarter than she was. Her little head turned, and her expression changed—her face seemed to spell out "I was wrong" in big letters. That pitiful look would make anyone hesitate to scold her!

Seeing her like this, Morgan couldn’t help but frown. “What did you do?” she asked.

At Morgan’s words, Roxy shrank her neck, waving her little hands about, though no one could tell what she meant.

Morgan handed her to Damien Gray, then picked up Ethan Gray, who was sleeping on the soft couch, and carefully checked him. Only then did she notice a small cut on his hand, with a bit of blood—not too serious!

Ethan withdrew his little hand, his expression saying "I'm fine"—so magnanimous that Roxy felt a twinge of guilt. She really hadn’t meant to hurt him; it was just an accident. But afraid of being scolded, she’d tried to complain first!

Morgan glanced at Roxy, then sternly instructed, “If you’re going to play tricks, save them for outsiders—understand?”

Roxy’s lashes were still wet with tears as she blinked up at her mother, looking truly pitiful. She mulled over Morgan’s words, realizing that as long as she didn’t trick her parents or brother, she wouldn’t get scolded!

Once she understood, her little mouth curled into a smile, and she giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. The pitiful look vanished in an instant.

Watching his two little treasures, Damien suddenly asked, “Morgan, will they grow up especially fast?”

Morgan shook her head. “From what I can tell, they’re just sturdier and more agile than ordinary babies. They should grow up gradually!” If their growth was as terrifyingly rapid as it had been in her womb, it would be unthinkable!

These days, Morgan had been keeping an eye on the movements at Qin Fortress, waiting for Qin Yan to make his final desperate move and lose hope completely. Meanwhile, the Ghost Guild and Cloud Guild War had reached a fever pitch—members of both sides were constantly fighting over business. That wasn’t new, but until recently, there hadn’t been open conflict. Now, whenever members of the Ghost Guild and Cloud Guild crossed paths, they fought to the death. Everyone else kept their distance, afraid of getting caught up in the chaos.

This situation gave hope to the righteous factions! Even many in the demonic path welcomed it—if the Ghost Guild and Cloud Guild destroyed each other, someone else might rise to lead the demonic world. With those two powers weakened, it would be easier for others to compete for the treasure.

That’s why, during the Martial Arts Summit, those in the demonic path neither attacked nor helped. They didn’t attack because they didn’t dare offend the Ghost Guild or Cloud Guild. Since the righteous factions were involved, they were happy to watch from the sidelines. And they didn’t help because the Ghostmaster had no interest in flattery—there was nothing to gain. If they weren’t careful, they might even draw trouble to themselves. That would be a case of trying to steal a chicken but losing the rice!
