Terrifying Light Element

1/19/2026

Evan Chu’s lips curled into a faint, cocky smile. In a flash, his Frostbane Divine Sword lashed out—so fast it was almost invisible to the naked eye. This slash was supercharged with Heavenfire.

As long as Heavenfire hits that Light Elf, there’s no way he can stay invisible. He’ll be totally exposed right in front of me, and then it’s just a matter of slicing him down.

That Light Elf never dreamed Evan Chu could actually see him—well, not see, but sense. The Frostbane Divine Sword unleashed a surge of sword qi, blasting out a wave of fire.

At point-blank range, the sudden ambush left the Light Elf totally off guard. Heavenfire landed on his body, and Evan’s sword qi slammed into him too, forcing his form to materialize right in front of Evan.

Evan didn’t hesitate—he swung his sword again. Strike while the iron’s hot, that’s his specialty. This time, his sword qi blasted the Light Elf dozens of meters back before it could steady itself.

The Heavenfire was even more savage, setting the monster ablaze in a roaring inferno. The Light Elf screamed—a soul-ripping howl—and its body split apart. Where there were five, now only three remained; the other two were finished, either sliced apart by sword qi or burned alive by Heavenfire.

No need to guess—the other two were either cut down by sword qi or roasted by Heavenfire. Who’d have thought these fused Light Elves would be such a pain? When five merge, it’s like they’ve got five lives. No ordinary cultivator could handle that.

But judging by those screams, these Light Elves definitely feel pain—and Heavenfire is the perfect counter, forcing their bodies out into plain sight.

This light space doesn’t have any other elements, or I could handle them even easier. If I could just gather Heavenfire particles from the world and burn them, even a late-stage Immortal Emperor wouldn’t stand a chance.

Now the three Light Elves stared at Evan in terror—they never expected him to be this tough, able to break their invisibility. “Lowly human, you’ve crossed the line! Today I’ll show you what a Light Domain really is!”

As soon as it finished talking, the three Light Elves merged again. Evan felt the pressure in the surrounding space spike—his whole body locked in place. Another damn domain! Still, he wasn’t all that scared of it.

He couldn’t resonate directly with the light-element particles to ease the pressure, but he had other tricks. If he could just comprehend the light element, he’d be able to resonate with it—and then, no matter how wild these particles got, they’d be no threat to him.

After figuring out the dark element, the light element was basically child’s play. Evan didn’t rush to absorb the light-element particles in this space, though—they were way too few and way too weak. Not worth his time.

This light domain definitely wasn’t just about pressure—there had to be more tricks hidden. Evan waited, biding his time for the Light Elf to unleash the true power of the light element.

Now the fused Light Elf had grown into a nearly three-meter-tall humanoid, glaring at Evan. “Inside my Light Domain, even a late-stage Immortal Emperor would be dead meat. The light element is the wildest and highest-grade of the Nine Elements. Today, I’ll show you its real power!”

“Get ready to witness the true strength of the light element!”

The moment it finished, the light-element particles in front of Evan swarmed together, forming a sphere about the size of a bowl. Instantly, a blinding radiance shot out—Evan couldn’t even open his eyes. The instant he glimpsed that light, his eyes felt like they’d been stabbed, the pain so sharp it was like he’d been blinded.

His whole body was wracked with pain, and the temperature around him soared—like he’d been tossed straight into a sea of fire. But this wasn’t fire, it was pure radiance, and it was just as hot as Heavenfire—maybe even hotter.

Normally, Evan’s control over the fire element meant this kind of thing would never happen. But now, he could feel his muscles shriveling away, almost like they were being roasted right off his bones.

He didn’t dare open his eyes—the pain was brutal. He frantically pumped Wood Element to heal, but when he checked the light-element sphere with his divine sense, it struck back, making him break out in a cold sweat. Who would’ve thought this radiance could actually wound his divine sense? That was straight-up terrifying.

Talk about adding insult to injury—Evan’s divine sense was wrecked, his body battered, and his eyes were shot. Against this monster, all his usual advantages were gone. All he could do was use Earth Element to shield himself and slow down the muscle loss.

This radiance was another form of the light element, Evan was sure of it. Just from the name, ‘light’ means brightness, and brightness means shining. That beam was just another manifestation of the light-element particles.

With a single thought, he unleashed the Star-Siphon Method, sucking all the radiance aimed at him straight into his dantian. That light was just as fierce as the dark element’s corrosion, but Evan was out of options—he had to gamble for victory.

Once the light element hit Evan’s dantian, it felt like he’d been tossed into a furnace, getting refined by the enemy. The pain in his eyes kept ramping up—Wood Element was working overtime to heal, but it wasn’t making much progress. Evan was seriously worried.

Losing his sight cut his combat power by at least a third—against a real powerhouse, he’d be in big trouble. He’d been hoping to use invisibility to sneak a peek at Serena Frost in the bath, but now the tables were turned: the real invisible one was standing right in front of him.

Evan was desperate, treating a dead horse like a live one—he ignored the agony in his dantian, his nerves going numb from the pain. Still, he kept crazily absorbing the radiance pouring out of the light-element sphere.

The sphere kept shrinking, and after a few breaths, it vanished. The pain in Evan’s body eased up, but the agony in his dantian was still bone-deep—pure torture. He couldn’t collapse now, though, so he just stood there, gritting his teeth and enduring.

Just then, the eight-colored elemental sphere started to change. As the light element reached its peak, the sphere began to spin, faster and faster, until it split into eight separate elemental particles—the whole thing scattered in an instant.

The Light Elf glanced at the scattered light-element sphere, surprised it hadn’t managed to kill this human. Suddenly, an energy sphere formed in its hand, and it hurled it straight at Evan…
