At this moment, Evan Chu didn’t have time to pay attention to the energy orb that suddenly appeared beside him. The nine great elements within his body had already become a chaotic whirl—or rather, not chaos, but a frenzy of rotation.
But right now, the white light element was the rarest, flickering in and out of the rotation. The damage to his body seemed to have halted for the moment, but he needed even more powerful light element to sustain the rotation within—only then could he achieve some balance.
Just then, the light element orb hurled by the light monster was exactly what Evan needed. It was a lifeline in a desperate moment. As the orb reached him, it burst apart, shrouding him in a field of white radiance—he looked like a human beacon, glowing with blinding light.
Off in the distance, Yvonne Xuan, Serena Frost, and the others stared in shock at the scene, unsure if Evan was in danger, but too afraid to approach—they could only watch helplessly, anxious and unable to act.
Evan’s eyes couldn’t open and the pain was unbearable, as if he’d gone completely blind—which made him deeply uneasy. The eyes are one of the body’s most vital yet fragile organs, sometimes even more crucial than the heart, at least for Evan Chu.
For most people, destruction of the heart means certain death. But not for Evan—his Fivefold Element-Shift could restore him. Yet his eyes had never recovered before.
Right now, the radiance around him surged, but didn’t inflict much actual harm. Even if it did, he couldn’t care less. As the nine great elements spun madly, a sudden, massive suction force appeared—instantly, all the surrounding light was drawn into his rotating elements.
The white monster found it utterly bizarre that the light element on Evan’s body vanished so suddenly. But seeing the wounds Evan had suffered, it grew smug, and promptly hurled an even larger element orb at him.
"Let’s see if you die this time!" it sneered as the orb smashed toward Evan. But to its frustration, the same phenomenon occurred—the orb’s radiance vanished again, all of it disappearing within a few breaths right in front of its eyes.
Now, the light element within Evan surged visibly, and the rotation grew faster and faster. Evan knew that once this cycle finished, a new Element Core Pearl would appear—one with all nine colors, each representing one of the nine great elements.
This bizarre scene seemed to trigger something in the monster’s mind. After its giant white sword flashed with dazzling light, it lunged at Evan in a blur. But because of the attack, the pressure on Evan suddenly vanished.
With a thought, Evan summoned his Fire Golden Body and Earth Golden Body, ordering them to block the light monster. At the same time, he sent a voice transmission to Shadow and Goldwing, calling them over to help. This time, they had to work together to kill it—just like in the dark space, there was no room for error.
Soon, the two avatars and two beasts surrounded the light monster, while Evan flashed to the side, standing motionless and enduring the explosive swelling within his body. The twisted muscles on his face showed just how much pain he was in.
Yvonne and Serena could only watch anxiously, unable to help. Shadow unleashed his Lion’s Roar, Goldwing fired Golden Wing Arrows, and the Earth and Fire Golden Bodies repeatedly cast Star-Cleave. After nearly half an incense stick’s time, they finally managed to completely slay the light monster.
They knew the monsters to come would be even stronger and more terrifying—only Evan could handle those. But the gruesome wounds on his body right now made them all worry.
At last, the nine great elements within Evan stopped spinning. In the space beside his dantian, a pearl with nine colors appeared. Its arrival made Evan ecstatic.
This meant he’d basically mastered all nine elemental attributes. Once he obtained the Light Spirit Pearl, he could cultivate Light Transformation—and when that happened, his strength would soar again.
Immediately, the wood element within him began rapidly healing his wounds. Everyone watched quietly as his missing muscles slowly reappeared, and before long he was fully restored. But even now, Evan still hadn’t opened his eyes.
He felt as if his eyes were burning in fire, the stabbing pain unbearable. Even if he wanted to open them, he simply couldn’t. "Everyone, step back! I’m sure the real Light King will appear soon. That thing might be even stronger than the Dark King. My eyes are injured and I can’t open them at all—you all need to be careful!"
"Evan, what’s wrong with your eyes? You’re scaring us!" Yvonne asked anxiously. Everyone knew just how important the eyes were.
"I honestly don’t know what’s happening—my eyes hurt like hell, it’s as if they’re being burned by flames. I just can’t open them," Evan said.
"Try using Watershift to cool your eyes—it might help," Yvonne suggested.
Evan thought she had a point, so he quickly activated Watershift, forming Mystic Ice over his eyes. The chill made him feel a bit better, and his eyes began absorbing the cold.
But the relief faded quickly. The temperature of Mystic Ice was low, but still not enough to dispel that searing pain.
Suddenly, an idea struck Evan. He pulled an Ice-Spirit Fruit from his storage ring. The moment it appeared, everyone’s face changed—they all retreated, while Evan placed it in front of his eyes and instantly became an ice statue.
At the same time, the ground around him was frozen solid by the Ice-Spirit Fruit’s terrifying chill. Yvonne, Serena, and the others were all turned into ice statues, while Evan himself was completely unaware.
Even the light elements forming the Light King’s body were frozen, unable to take shape. The whole space turned into a world of ice and snow—utterly bizarre.
Evan didn’t know any of this, but he did hear Yvonne’s voice: "Evan, what did you just take out? The chill is so intense—we’re all frozen solid!"
Evan was shocked. "How is this possible? I had no idea! Did the monster not come out? Maybe it’s frozen too?"
"That must be it! This ice is so hard, we can’t break it at all right now. You’ll have to figure something out," Yvonne said.
Evan didn’t say much—right now, the Ice-Spirit Fruit’s chill was pouring into his eyes and body. The burning sensation in his eyes gradually faded, and the water element within him increased.
When the Ice-Spirit Fruit finally vanished, everyone who’d been frozen was freed. Evan felt as if he’d effortlessly absorbed the whole fruit through his eyes—a fact he could hardly believe.
As he slowly opened his eyes, a blue ray and a fiery red ray shot out from his pupils, their energy beyond imagination. In his mind, a message appeared—Icefire Eye.
