Jealousy

12/2/2025

Whether they married or not was just a formality—he didn’t care much for the ritual itself. The real reason he was so eager to wed was to tie Roxy Shangguan to him, to bind her to his side so he could feel secure!

Roxy Shangguan frowned. In truth, she had meant to make things difficult for Quentin Hua—after all, he hadn’t even discussed the marriage plans with her before going ahead! But seeing how much he was suffering, she actually couldn’t bear it.

And... Roxy Shangguan glanced at Quentin Hua’s devilishly handsome face, her gaze drifting lower. She couldn’t help but swallow.

Seeing her obviously infatuated expression, Quentin Hua curled his lips into a smile, gently nipped at her earlobe, and asked in a tempting voice, “Roxy, do you really not want to?”

Roxy Shangguan’s face was full of struggle. Facing him so intimately, she didn’t feel shy at all. Since childhood, she and Quentin Hua had never really avoided each other, and she was never the bashful type. Still, at this moment, she wished she could feel a little shyness—then maybe she’d be able to refuse him.

But she just couldn’t find that nerve—Quentin Hua was simply too seductive, and she was close to losing control!

Truthfully, it wasn’t just Quentin Hua who was suffering—she was too. After all these years, facing such an enticing man yet unable to have him, it was a true test of willpower!

Seeing her still struggling, Quentin Hua kissed her again—he decided it was best not to give her time to think!

"Knock, knock..."

The sound of knocking came at the worst possible moment. Roxy Shangguan snapped back to reality. Quentin Hua’s face darkened dangerously. "Get out!" Whoever interrupted him now deserved to die for ruining his moment!

Outside the door, Irene Yi was startled and hesitantly spoke, “Sect Master, there’s an unknown force approaching Cloudspire Mountain.” She had originally wanted to report this to Quentin Hua, but with everything happening with Roxy Shangguan, she’d forgotten.

“Get out! Did you not understand your Sect Master’s orders?” Quentin Hua was about to lose it. He’d finally managed to coax her into bed, and just when things were about to get intimate, someone dared ruin his moment—it was enough to make him furious!

Roxy Shangguan watched his near-meltdown and couldn’t help but burst out laughing. She rolled with him, swapping their positions. Smiling at him, she said, “Quincy, you don’t always have to listen to your big brother!” She was never one to obey blindly—she just wanted to teach Quentin Hua a lesson.

Quentin Hua was stunned for a moment. Was this... a blessing in disguise?

Quentin Hua didn’t have time to think about it, nor did he care about the person outside or what she’d said. He grabbed Roxy Shangguan’s head and kissed her, eager to continue what they’d started.

Irene Yi still stood by the door, frowning. She couldn’t figure out why Quentin Hua was so furious. She considered knocking again—the unknown force seemed to be targeting the Lotus Sect. If that was true, and they didn’t prepare, what would happen if the enemy attacked?

Although the Lotus Sect wasn’t easy to topple, minimizing losses was always best.

While Irene Yi hesitated, a sudden cry of pain came from inside, followed by muffled voices. The sounds were too low for her to make out, and after a while, some strange noises drifted out. Irene Yi frowned, and then her face turned pale as she realized what was happening.

Her hands clenched unconsciously. In truth, everyone in the Lotus Sect knew the nature of the relationship between the Sect Master and Roxy Shangguan. They’d never hidden anything, and every time they returned to Cloudspire Mountain, they stayed together—from when Roxy was a child until she grew up. But she also knew that nothing had ever truly happened between them, so she always thought that maybe the Sect Master didn’t really love Roxy Shangguan. Even though he spoiled her outrageously, perhaps their relationship wasn’t what everyone thought?

Deep down, she knew this was just self-deception. The Sect Master hadn’t touched Roxy Shangguan only because she was still young. Irene Yi just wanted to feel better, to keep herself from feeling jealous. She tried to ignore their intimacy, but in the end, she had to face the truth—she was powerless to change anything.

Irene Yi stared wide-eyed at the tightly shut door, biting her lip until she tasted blood. Yet she couldn’t react, only standing there stiffly and unmoving.

From a distance, Luna Ying approached and saw the scene unfold. "Irene..."

Luna Ying looked at her with concern, wanting to ask what was wrong. Then, belatedly, she heard the sounds coming from inside the room and blushed. Perhaps because martial artists don’t age as quickly, even after all these years, these two envoys’ faces showed little sign of time—if anything, they exuded a mature charm. At this moment, Luna Ying’s cheeks were tinged with red, making her look especially lovely.

Irene Yi said nothing. She cast one last glance at the tightly closed door, then turned and left.

Luna Ying watched her leave, frowning. She saw the jealousy and unwillingness in Irene Yi’s eyes—jealousy was frightening! Luna Ying truly feared Irene Yi might do something reckless out of envy.

She knew Irene Yi had waited for the Sect Master for so many years and received nothing in return—her heart was bitter. But the Sect Master had only ever loved Roxy.

She knew the Sect Master’s temperament well—if Irene Yi made a mistake, he likely wouldn’t show mercy!

Early the next morning, Roxy Shangguan awoke to Quentin Hua’s gentle gaze. She couldn’t help but reach out and caress his chest, smiling sweetly. “Quincy, congratulations on officially becoming mine. From now on, you have to listen to me—if I say go east, you can’t go west; if I say one, you can’t say two. Got it?”

Quentin Hua kissed her cheek and smiled, “Then you’d better treat me well—don’t let me suffer.”

Roxy Shangguan replied boldly, “Don’t worry—I wouldn’t let anyone mistreat you!”

“Mm, remember what you said!” Quentin Hua’s smile was a little odd. Roxy Shangguan had a bad feeling, but didn’t think much of it—she was already distracted by his allure, and began to get handsy with him.
