Vice President Muir, May I Share Your Table?

1/4/2026

Rona Muir slept for more than nine hours straight. When she finally opened her eyes, it was already ten thirty in the morning.

She'd already missed breakfast, and if she didn't get up soon, she'd be late for lunch too.

Stretching lazily, Rona Muir decided to take it easy today and just relax.

She changed into a casual long dress, letting her hair down—she looked effortlessly lazy and undeniably sexy.

Instead of eating at the buffet, she headed to an Italian restaurant in the next block.

The place was small, maybe just a hundred square meters, and the decor was simple and down-to-earth.

So, the restaurant was always busy—with both tourists and locals dropping by.

Rona Muir grabbed a table under the sun umbrella at the entrance, flipping through a magazine while waiting for her food.

As she was reading, someone called out to her, "Excuse me, miss, there aren't any other seats left. Mind if I join your table?"

Rona Muir looked up and saw the surprise on the man's face. "It's you? President Muir?"

Rona Muir recognized him too—it was Lucas Lin, the young star Zoey Chow had brought along.

"Sure." Rona Muir didn't mind this young guy. In fact, she found him pretty considerate.

Lucas Lin pulled out a chair and sat across from her, saying, "I didn't expect to run into you here, President Muir."

Rona Muir nodded. "Zoey Chow isn't back yet?"

Lucas Lin didn’t seem keen to talk about his sponsor, so he just replied, "She probably got caught up in something."

Rona Muir wasn’t exactly close to Zoey Chow—they’d only ever nodded at each other at a few events.

Even though she didn't like some things about the entertainment industry, she never meddled in other people's lives.

Everyone has the right to choose their own way of living, and she respected that.

When Lucas Lin saw Rona Muir’s food arrive, he ordered the same thing.

"You really like the food here, President Muir?" Lucas Lin tried to keep the conversation going.
