The One Who Can Remove the Talisman

The Sigil Sect Leader came out personally to welcome them inside.

Faustin followed beside his master, eagerly tending to their guests, clearly delighted.

After hearing what Lucia Lu and her companions had to say, the elderly Sect Leader opened his Heaven’s Eye and examined all three of them several times.

Finally, he pointed at Lucia Lu and announced, "There is an invisible talisman inside Divine Lady Lucia’s body."

"An invisible talisman? Talismans can be invisible now?" Lucia Lu asked, puzzled.

"This is my first time seeing one too," the elderly Sect Leader replied. "It must be a new-type spell crafted by some advanced Rune Master!"

"Another new-type talisman…" Lucia Lu frowned. "May I ask, Sect Leader, could you help me remove it?"

"I’ll do my best." The Sect Leader first brought out his Rune Staff and cast spells on her, but after a long effort, there was no reaction at all.

He then had her step into an Eight Trigram Array outside, saying he wanted to borrow the array’s power to try again.

He struggled for ages, nearly collapsing from exhaustion, but still failed to succeed.

"Divine Lady, this talisman is just too cunning," the Sect Leader said. "Not only is it invisible to the eye—it's invisible to the touch! No matter what method I use, I can't even brush a corner of it!"

Lucia Lu frowned. "Do you have any other methods?"

The elderly Sect Leader wiped his sweat and shook his head. "No. I've truly done my best! The talisman inside you is beyond my abilities."

"But the Sigil Sect has so many Rune Masters—surely someone else can remove it?" Adrian Drake asked.

"My master is the most advanced here," Faustin said. "If even my master can't do it, how could any other disciple succeed?"

"What about outside the Sigil Sect? Aren't there other talisman sects out there?"

The elderly Sect Leader thought for a moment and said, "You could try seeking out one person."

"Who?"

"Liam Leshan," the Sect Leader said. "He's a Divine Race Rune Master—reputed to be the best in the world! Maybe he can do it!"

Lucia Lu fell silent.

But where could she even find Liam Leshan?

She suspected the talisman inside her was drawn by Liam Leshan himself!

If she went to him, he might just plant even more talismans in her body—and she'd never know a thing...

"Is there really no one else besides him?" Lucia Lu pressed.

"Well..." The Sect Leader hesitated. "There is one more. She's even more powerful than Liam Leshan—though I can't say if she'd help you."

Lucia Lu's heart skipped a beat. "You don't mean..."

"The one sealed beside the Spirit Alliance," the Sect Leader said, his gaze deep. "Even two hundred thousand years ago, she was already the strongest Rune Master on the continent! Now, her cultivation is probably unimaginable. If she's willing to help, there's an eighty percent chance she can remove it for you!"

Lucia Lu: "Alright! Then I'll go seek her out again."

"Divine Lady! Divine Lady!" Faustin was practically bouncing with excitement. "Can you really meet her?"

"I think so," Lucia Lu said. "I've met her several times already—she's very kind."

"Can you take me with you, please?" Faustin looked at her with stars in his eyes.

"Why would you go?"

"She's my idol! If I could meet her just once, I'd die happy!"

"Idol?" Lucia Lu couldn't help but laugh. "Why do you see her as your idol?"

"Because she's the strongest Rune Master ever!" Faustin's eyes sparkled. "And she's absolutely gorgeous!"

"How do you know what she looks like?" Lucia Lu asked, curious. "Have you actually met her?"
