It Is Still Here

Why has it appeared again now?

He transformed back into his dragon form.

It's still there.

On his belly, six bold characters stood out: Evan Xiao Loves Chloe Zhu.

As a member of the Dragon Clan, he often reverted to his dragon form. If he showed up in front of the gods with those six words on his body...

He was ready to kill that damned Chloe Zhu!

He got dressed and vanished from Haotian Pool in the blink of an eye.

......

Maya Summers and the others quickly found a house near the Eastern Alliance.

It was a three-section courtyard, the house mostly new, spacious and bright—a pretty good find.

She and Maya Summers each had their own courtyard—total freedom.

They didn’t bring many servants from the Zhu family.

The old wet nurse was getting on in years, so she stayed behind at the Loyal Marquis Residence to look after things.

Hope, Claire, Tenner, and Edward Wang all came along.

Maya Summers only brought two personal maids with her.

She also brought along that old man with a few screws loose.

Grace wasn’t surprised at all.

If they didn’t bring him, he’d just show up on his own anyway—might as well let him tag along.

That old guy was a real oddball—always dragging Maya Summers off to arrange stone formations.

Maya Summers was even stranger—she actually joined in and played along with him.

He insisted the old man’s stone arrangements were some kind of formation—and even caught a few small spirit beasts to play with.

Those poor spirit beasts spent their days getting tormented by them.

......

By the afternoon of their third day in the Eastern Alliance, everything inside and outside their new home was organized.

Grace brewed a fresh pot of tea and took a comfortable sip.

She’d barely had a sip when Evan Xiao suddenly appeared in front of her.

She held her teacup, looking at him in confusion.

He’s back again so soon?

"Chloe Zhu," Evan Xiao called.

"Hm?"

"Are you tired of living?"

Grace blinked innocently. "Why would you say that, Your Highness?"

"I told you to remove those words from my chest, but they're still there!"

Evan Xiao stepped right up to her, his powerful aura pressing down hard.

Usually, even the strongest enemies would tremble under his aura, sometimes surrendering before a fight even started.

But Chloe Zhu just stared back, totally unfazed. Her eyes sparkled as she asked, "Your Highness, can you tell me how those words... first appeared?"

Evan Xiao’s face darkened. He said nothing.

Could he really say it?

He was taking a bath.

And while he was soaking, he’d just randomly started thinking about her.

And then... he saw the words on his chest.

"Hm?" Grace took two steps toward him, looking up.

"Get rid of it," Evan Xiao commanded, his tone fierce. "Or I'll twist your head right off!"

"Here's the thing!" Grace cleared her throat. "Your Highness, you left in such a hurry last time, I didn’t get to tell you the rest of the medical instructions!

"Speak."

"The words on your body show up under two circumstances." Grace sat down, picked up her tea, and sipped happily.

"Which two?"

"One is external—like when your body temperature rises from the weather, a hot bath, or being near fire," Grace explained. "That’s already cured, so those words won’t show up for that reason anymore."

"And the internal reason?"

"The other is internal—it only appears when you’re... aroused." Grace added with a grin. "And that one’s not so easy to fix."

Evan Xiao’s aura grew even more dangerous. He stared at her, eyes dark.

"Those words are fused with my essence and spirit power. If I reach the Spirit Lord realm and become half-immortal, they’ll disappear for good."
