"So what's so special about that Wind Spirit Pearl? Just spit it out already—is it super dangerous to get? Don't tell me it's in the Glasswind Region!" Evan Chu pressed anxiously, his heart full of doubt.
"The Wind Spirit Pearl really is in the Glasswind Region. No monster beast dares go near that place—even with my natural wind affinity, I wouldn't dare approach. The Glasswind's blades can kill Saint Martial Eighth-Layer experts. Lord Golden Dragon, if you want that Wind Spirit Pearl, it's honestly next to impossible." said the Savage Earth Dragon.
Evan Chu was stunned for a moment—this really was as dangerous as it gets. But he had to get the Wind Spirit Pearl, no matter what. The situation left him feeling utterly conflicted.
"There's really nowhere else to find a Wind Spirit Pearl? Is there any way to fight back against the Glasswind?" Evan Chu refused to give up—if there was even a sliver of hope, he'd never let go.
"Wind Spirit Pearls are insanely rare. As far as I know, except for the Glasswind Region, none of the other Skywind Zones have one. If they did, I'd have gotten it long ago. As for fighting the Glasswind—I've got no clue. No one can get close! The wind speed is insane, and the blades are even scarier." the Savage Earth Dragon replied.
Evan Chu frowned, stuck in indecision. Just then, the Sword Spirit Luna spoke up: "Evan, the Glasswind may be terrifying, but your defense is monstrous too. Maybe the Glasswind Region is exactly where you can break through to the Sixth Layer of the Starforge Body. Opportunities like this are rare—you should give it a shot."
Besides, you've already mastered the Fivefold Shift—that's basically undying. As long as your body isn't shredded to bits, you can recover. If you learn Windshift, both your speed and strength will skyrocket."
Luna's words shook Evan Chu to his core. He'd never really used his undying body before—maybe this was his chance. If he got the Wind Spirit Pearl and mastered Windshift, he'd have much better odds in the Netherworld.
"Earth Dragon, take me to the Glasswind Region. I'll go get the Wind Spirit Pearl myself." Evan Chu declared to the Savage Earth Dragon, utterly resolute.
The Savage Earth Dragon glanced at Evan Chu. "Lord Golden Dragon, are you sure you want to go to the Glasswind Region? It's incredibly dangerous—even with your current strength, I can't promise you'll survive the Glasswind."
"Just lead the way. We dragons don't back down from danger! No matter how deadly, that Wind Spirit Pearl is mine." Evan Chu declared. He sounded all kinds of bold, but only he knew the bitterness in his heart—the risks and the price he'd have to pay were things he didn't even dare to imagine.
The Savage Earth Dragon paused, then said, "Alright! If Lord Golden Dragon insists, I'll take you there. But you need to be careful—this is no joke."
With that, the Savage Earth Dragon flew ahead of Evan Chu, speeding through the air toward the Glasswind Region. Both of them were incredibly fast, and by dusk, the Savage Earth Dragon landed atop the yellow sand.
"Lord Golden Dragon, this is the outer edge of the Glasswind Region. We got lucky this time—no Heavenwind showed up, or we'd have wasted a lot more time. It's almost dark now; I suggest you restore your Stellar Power and wait till morning before going in." advised the Savage Earth Dragon.
Evan Chu agreed—the Savage Earth Dragon had a point. His earlier battle had burned up too much Chaos Dragon Force, and with the Glasswind Region being so terrifying, he needed to be at his absolute peak before going in.
He immediately sat cross-legged on the ground, absorbing Stellar Power from the Starstones, while the Savage Earth Dragon waited quietly nearby—ready for anything, like a sudden Heavenwind or a burst of Glasswind.
By now, the Savage Earth Dragon was genuinely impressed by Evan Chu—mostly because of his noble five-clawed golden dragon bloodline, and the promise to bring him to the Dragon Shrine as a Protector.
Time passed quickly, and the night was uneventful—except for the occasional wind howling like ghosts and wolves, nothing else happened.
At dawn, Evan Chu stopped absorbing energy. His Chaos Dragon Force was fully restored. Rising from the yellow sand, he asked the Savage Earth Dragon, "Are you waiting out here at the edge, or coming in with me?"
The Savage Earth Dragon thought Evan Chu was testing him, so he immediately replied, "Of course I'm going in with Lord Golden Dragon! The Glasswind may be fierce, but I'm not the cowardly type."
"Alright, then stick with me. Just make sure you take care of yourself—no matter what happens, protect your own life. I won't be in any real danger. Even if the Glasswind cuts me down, don't worry about me; I've got a way to survive." Evan Chu said.
The Savage Earth Dragon was startled. He glanced at Evan Chu and asked, "You can survive even after being cut down? Lord Golden Dragon, is this the Dragon Clan's supreme secret art?"
"That's right. I've already mastered the Dragon Clan's Undying Secret Art. If the chance arises, I can have the Temple Master teach it to you—but you'll have to prove yourself first." Evan Chu replied.
"Don't worry, Lord Golden Dragon—I won't let you down!" the Savage Earth Dragon said, clearly thrilled at the prospect of learning the Undying Secret Art.
Once inside the Glasswind Region, Evan Chu found the environment completely different from the outside. The air pressure was incredibly high, and astral winds swept up clouds of yellow sand, sometimes making it impossible to open his eyes.
Evan Chu asked, "Can you Earthshift—move under the yellow sand? That way, we might avoid most of the astral wind attacks, maybe even dodge some Heavenwind strikes."
"Of course I can! In fact, I've wanted to do that for ages—I just didn't bring it up because I thought you couldn't Earthshift, Lord Golden Dragon. There's a spot in the Glasswind Region where the Glasswind has raged for millions of years; that's probably where you'll find your Wind Spirit Pearl. Head east for about two thousand li and you'll reach it." the Savage Earth Dragon explained.
"Two thousand li? How long does Earthshift take for that?" Evan Chu had never traveled so far underground before—even if it was just sand, it was still a huge distance.
"Earthshift is definitely slower than flying—maybe about an hour. Lord Golden Dragon, is that too long for you? If so, we can fly a thousand or so li and then Earthshift the rest." suggested the Savage Earth Dragon.
Evan Chu couldn't help but feel a little unsettled. This guy could travel two thousand li under the sand in just an hour—there was no way Evan could match that. Not wanting to embarrass himself, he said, "Let's fly part of the way and then Earthshift. I'm not exactly an expert at moving underground."
So the two of them took off into the sky again, but the endless waves of yellow sand battered Evan Chu and the Savage Earth Dragon until they were both covered in dust. After a while, Evan spotted three red tornadoes in the distance, spinning straight toward them...
