Savage Earth Dragon’s Submission

1/19/2026

Evan Chu's sword energy slashed out instantly, striking the incoming crimson Heavenwind and splitting it in two. But just as quickly, the wind rejoined itself, as if nothing had happened—his attack had no effect whatsoever.

Such a powerful attack had zero effect—Evan Chu was stunned. That move had burned nearly three-tenths of his Chaos Dragon Force, yet it did absolutely nothing. For a moment, he couldn't accept the result.

His body felt frozen in place—he couldn't teleport anymore. All he could do was watch as the crimson Heavenwind closed in. Now he finally understood why the Demon Lord never wanted to talk about his own encounter with Heavenwind. It was a feeling of total helplessness.

In no time, the crimson Heavenwind swallowed up Evan Chu. A crushing pressure formed inside the wind, while sword-like wind blades kept slashing at his body, shattering his stone-earth defenses in an instant.

Soon, even his muscles were torn open, and pale golden blood began to flow. Evan Chu winced, pain shooting through him. "This Heavenwind can't last forever, right? If I grit my teeth and endure a little longer, I can survive this," he forced himself to think.

Outside the Heavenwind, the Savage Earth Dragon sneered, "Human, savor the taste of my Heavenwind! Soon, the wind blades will shred you into pieces. In Skywind Valley, not a single soul dares challenge my Heavenwind—even Saint Martial seventh-layers are doomed to die!"

Evan Chu was startled, but he realized that while the Heavenwind was fierce, it could only wound him to a certain extent—and his powerful regenerative ability was enough to withstand its force.

Just then, the Nascent Soul in Evan Chu's mind—which had been unresponsive until now—suddenly frowned slightly. A dragon's roar echoed deep in his heart.

Seeing this reaction, Evan Chu knew he could finally transform into his dragon body. With a single thought, a surge of power erupted from his Nascent Soul. Golden light burst from his body, and his form began to change.

His bloodline hadn't fully awakened yet, so the transformation was agonizing. But Evan Chu didn't care—moments later, a golden dragon tens of meters long, its whole body shining with golden light, appeared within the crimson Heavenwind.

Evan Chu couldn't help but let out a furious roar—a dragon's cry echoed from within the Heavenwind, startling the Savage Earth Dragon in the sky so badly it nearly fell out of the air.

Now that Evan Chu had transformed into his dragon body, the Heavenwind weakened considerably. With his body covered in dragon scales, the wind was no longer a threat—he flashed out of its range and escaped the attack.

At this moment, the Savage Earth Dragon could clearly see the massive dragon in the air—its whole body gleaming with golden light, five dragon claws proving that this was a true five-clawed golden dragon, the noblest bloodline of all.

A sense of unprecedented oppression flooded over it, making the Savage Earth Dragon tremble uncontrollably. This was pure bloodline suppression between dragons—no matter how strong you were, in front of a golden dragon with the purest blood, you could only submit. Even with a thousand reasons to resist, this pressure was innate and impossible to defy.

Evan Chu fixed the Savage Earth Dragon with a cold stare. "A lowly earth dragon dares stand upright before a divine dragon like me? Are you begging for death?"

Truth was, after transforming into dragon form, Evan Chu's offensive strength was far weaker than in human form. He hadn't mastered any Dragon Clan techniques yet—the only advantage was his much stronger defense. He was just bluffing, hoping his superior bloodline would force the other dragon to submit.

Sure enough, the Savage Earth Dragon's arrogance vanished the moment it heard Chu Linfeng's words. It bowed low and said, "Greetings, Lord Golden Dragon! I was blind and failed to recognize your greatness—please forgive me!"

"I told you already—I'm a golden dragon, and you refused to listen. You think your Heavenwind is fearsome? In front of me, it's nothing. Since this is your first mistake, I'll let it slide. Transform into human form and come with me through Skywind Valley. I have urgent business—a mission to revive the Dragon Clan. You'd better give it everything you've got." Evan Chu's words were sharp as blades, leaving the Savage Earth Dragon no room for doubt.

Seeing that even its strongest Heavenwind attack couldn't touch the golden dragon, the Savage Earth Dragon realized this was someone it absolutely couldn't afford to provoke. It replied immediately, "Rest assured, Lord Golden Dragon! I know Skywind Valley like the back of my claw—ask me anything you wish!"

Right now, Evan Chu felt a rush of satisfaction—bloodline hierarchy really was terrifying. Back when Goldwing submitted, it was thanks to Shadow. Now he'd pulled it off again. Maybe this time, he'd truly have a shot at the Wind Spirit Pearl.

Right then, a surge of cyan light burst from the Savage Earth Dragon's body, and a middle-aged man appeared before Evan Chu. Judging by the aura he radiated, this Savage Earth Dragon was primarily wind-attributed—in other words, a wind dragon.

Evan Chu shifted back to his human form. "If you help me finish this Dragon Clan mission," he said, "you might get a chance to leave this place and enter the Palace of the Dragon God. With your current strength, you could even become a Dragon Shrine Protector—if you prove yourself worthy."

"A Dragon Clan Protector? Lord Golden Dragon, could I really? But I'm just a two-clawed earth dragon!" the Savage Earth Dragon stammered, clearly shaken—he might be a Savage Earth Dragon, but his inherited Dragon Clan lore told him exactly how important the Palace of the Dragon God was.

If he really could leave this place and return to the Palace of the Dragon God, it would be a miracle—he just wasn't sure if the golden dragon in front of him would keep his word.

"My word is law. I'm the Dragon Clan's young master—appointing a Protector is my prerogative. But whether you earn that title depends on your performance. Don't ever say I didn't give you a chance," Evan Chu pressed, his tone both coaxing and commanding.

"Thank you for your generosity, Lord Golden Dragon! I'll do everything I can to help you accomplish your mission. But may I ask, what brings you to Skywind Valley this time?" the Savage Earth Dragon said.

"I'm here for the Wind Spirit Pearl," Evan Chu said flatly. "You've lived in Skywind Valley for years. You must know where it is. The Wind Spirit Pearl is vital for reviving the Dragon Clan—there can't be any mistakes. That's why I came straight to you."

"The Wind Spirit Pearl? I do know where it is, but getting it won't be easy, because that Wind Spirit Pearl..." (To be continued tonight)
