Luna Fairchild's Plea for Help

Lord Voidbreaker looked at Joe Di, as if he could see through Joe Di’s thoughts. He took a deep breath and said, "I’m not trying to use a woman to threaten him. I simply want to reclaim what belongs to me. If the other party refuses to return it, I won’t vent my anger on unrelated people."

Joe Di said calmly, "I can help you, but I’m not used to threatening others with women. I need to remind you of two things: first, this information came from someone else, and even you’re unsure of its accuracy. Second, even if they did obtain your item, it was by accident, not on purpose. You don’t have the moral high ground here."

"Then how will you help me?" Lord Voidbreaker asked Joe Di, confused.

Joe Di replied, "Don’t worry, I’ll support you. If the other party is reasonable, there’s no need for me to intervene. But if they refuse to listen and resort to violence, I’ll step in and help you."

"Alright, it’s settled then," Lord Voidbreaker said without hesitation.

"Do you know Calamity Lord?" Joe Di guessed that someone as ancient as Lord Voidbreaker should know of Calamity Lord.

Lord Voidbreaker chuckled, a trace of disdain in his tone, "He only made a name for himself by following behind Lord Destiny. Of all the Dao Lords, his title was the most undeserved. Joe Di, why bring him up?"

Joe Di pointed outside toward the Mountainview Forbidden Zone. "He has a disciple named Owen Jarvis. I chased him here, and he finally escaped into the Mountainview Forbidden Zone."

Lord Voidbreaker looked at Joe Di, speechless. Although he dismissed Calamity Lord’s reputation, his own current state was far inferior to Calamity Lord’s. Owen Jarvis—he seemed to have heard the name before. That such an ancient powerhouse was forced by Joe Di to flee into the Mountainview Forbidden Zone made him wonder if Joe Di was the reincarnation of some supreme being. In front of Joe Di, all these ancient experts seemed to pale in comparison. Still, he knew such matters were private and never asked.

Because Lord Voidbreaker wanted to befriend Joe Di, and Joe Di wished to learn more from Lord Voidbreaker, the more they talked, the more they found themselves kindred spirits.

In the end, Lord Voidbreaker simply stayed at the Mountainview Tavern, since Joe Di had no intention of entering the Mountainview Forbidden Zone yet. According to Lord Voidbreaker, the Mountainview Forbidden Zone faced the Gate of Creation in ancient times, so it is permeated with Dao Rhythms of Creation. After the cosmic laws sealed it, any cultivator who didn’t perish inside could grow into a terrifying powerhouse, and even those who fell had a great chance of reconstructing their soul and being reborn.

So, entering such a place without sufficient strength is courting death.

Although Joe Di couldn’t break into the Unity Realm for now, he could still perfect his Genesis Script Divine Art and further enhance his power. So before entering, Joe Di had to strengthen himself.

After Joe Di’s battle with Lord Voidbreaker, the Mountainview Forbidden Zone became even more famous. More and more cultivators flocked here and began to gather.

To Joe Di’s delight, Elijah Wells actually possessed Five Elements Chaos Essence. Although Lord Voidbreaker didn’t say it outright, Joe Di guessed that he was after Elijah Wells’s Five Elements Chaos Essence.

Joe Di didn’t ask Elijah Wells for more Five Elements Chaos Essence, since the portion Elijah Wells gave to Bolt was already enough for him.

Besides cultivation and improving aptitude, Five Elements Chaos Essence can also be used to comprehend divine arts.

Joe Di didn’t need it for cultivation, but he could use it to comprehend the Genesis Opening Incantation.

……

Another two years passed. Joe Di’s Creation Brush had already drawn a gigantic character for ‘realm’ in the void. When this word appeared, a new domain seemed to form in this part of the cosmic void. Within this new domain, the laws of heaven and earth were set by Joe Di, and anyone inside was at his mercy.

Even Joe Di was secretly amazed. He didn’t know which characters the Chamber Codex had comprehended in its Genesis Opening Incantation besides ‘Void Silence, No Yin or Yang’, but Joe Di was certain that the character ‘realm’ wasn’t among them.

His cultivation was still limited, so the ‘realm’ character couldn’t bind true powerhouses yet, but it worked perfectly to augment his Azure Veil Blade technique.

Nora Xiu still hadn’t awakened, but everything was moving in a positive direction. Emily Ye also showed no signs of waking up—it seemed he would need time to find the Soul Lotus.

Joe Di immediately sent a message to Lord Voidbreaker, wanting to know if he had any news about the Soul Lotus. If Lord Voidbreaker didn’t know either, Joe Di would head to the Mountainview Forbidden Zone first.

Just as Joe Di stepped out of his cave abode, Bolt trotted eagerly over to greet him. Lately, Bolt had been living far too comfortably.

Now, the Mountainview Tavern had become Bolt’s own enterprise, and all the spirit crystals it earned belonged to him. Although Joe Di’s Ninth World was filled with spirit crystals and divine spirit veins, nothing compared to the satisfaction of earning them himself.

That wasn’t even the best part. The best part was, whenever Bolt went out, everyone he met would respectfully call him ‘Second Master’.

Joe Di didn’t bother with management at all—here at the Mountainview Tavern, Bolt was king.

"What’s the matter?" Joe Di asked Bolt in confusion. Clearly, Bolt had something to report.

Bolt quickly replied, "There’s a woman named Luna Fairchild looking for you, Master. I told her to wait off to the side."

"Luna Fairchild?" Joe Di frowned and repeated the name before recalling—this was the woman he’d met back in the Taiji Realm. Extremely opportunistic, and not someone Joe Di liked. Why was she here?

Back then, his Lunar Heart had at least come from her. Thinking of this, Joe Di asked, "Why is she here?"

Bolt quickly explained, "She arrived half a year ago, looking quite disheveled and desperate. She begged Master to help. I told her you were busy and couldn’t help, but she knelt down and insisted that only you could save the Taiji Realm, pleading for the sake of its countless cultivators and living beings."

Joe Di frowned. Taiji Realm? She wanted him to save the Taiji Realm? That sounded almost ridiculous. From what he knew of Luna Fairchild, she was beautiful but hardly kind-hearted. She’d never worry about the fate of a domain—besides, Joe Di knew she wasn’t even from the Taiji Realm.

"Go call her in. I’ll see her." Joe Di waved his hand, though his mind was still focused on obtaining the Soul Lotus and heading to the Mountainview Forbidden Zone.

Bolt sent a message, and Luna Fairchild soon appeared at the door.

"Greetings, Brother Joe." Seeing Joe Di, Luna Fairchild bowed deeply, almost to the ground—gone was her former arrogance and pride.

Just as Bolt had described, even after half a year Luna Fairchild’s face was still haggard, her Dao Rhythm scattered—likely still recovering from serious injuries. Yet her looks remained ethereal and refined; standing outside, few women could compare to her.

Joe Di said coolly, "If you have something to say, speak directly. I’m busy and don’t have time to waste."

"Brother Joe, I beg you to save the Taiji Realm. It’s about to collapse, and only you can save it…" Luna Fairchild knelt again, her pitiful appearance making her seem even more delicate and lovely. At least to Joe Di, she looked prettier now than when she was arrogant.

With a wave of his hand, Joe Di swept Luna Fairchild up with a surge of divine essence. "Just say what you have to say. Even if the Taiji Realm is in trouble, I’m not the only one who can save it. There are countless powerhouses in the universe, even among those who left the Taiji Realm. Why do you insist I’m the only hope?"
