I Know Who It Is

Luna Fairchild's face was pale. She bit her lip, clearly steeling herself before speaking, "I've long suspected that you possess the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram, and that this diagram is the true treasure that anchors the Taiji Realm. Only with the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram can we hope to save the Taiji Realm."

Back when Luna Fairchild first met Joe Di, she always felt he carried something she desperately needed. That was why she kept him by her side. She hadn't understood it at first, but after Joe Di had been away for a long time, she suddenly realized by chance that the thing he possessed was surely the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram.

At that time, Joe Di was gravely wounded and had only just acquired the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram. The Dao aura from the diagram hadn't yet dissipated, so naturally, she sensed it.

Joe Di gave Luna Fairchild a surprised look, then spoke slowly, "I underestimated you. I didn't expect you to see through me and realize I have the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram."

Luna Fairchild's eyes lit up with delight. "Brother Joe, do you really have the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram?"

She had only been guessing, but never expected her suspicion to be true.

Joe Di replied calmly, "I did have the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram back then, but it's no longer mine. I traded it away for something else."

"Ah..." Luna Fairchild's mouth fell open, speechless for a long moment. When she finally recovered, she fell into a deep silence.

To trade the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram for another treasure—no one would ever believe such a thing. Clearly, Joe Di was unwilling to go to the Taiji Realm to help.

Joe Di understood Luna Fairchild's thoughts, but he didn't bother to explain. He simply asked, "Tell me, what exactly has happened in the Taiji Realm?"

Luna Fairchild spoke with a note of despair, "After the Kui River Secret Domain in the Taiji Realm opened years ago, very few cultivators who entered ever returned alive. Then a mass of black mist appeared within the Kui River Secret Domain. Many powerful experts went to investigate, but none came back. Eventually, no one dared to approach the Kui River Secret Domain anymore."

But that was not the end. In the past several decades, the black mist has continued to spread outward. Any place touched by the mist vanishes instantly. Spiritual sense cannot penetrate it, and ordinary cultivators' spiritual sense is corroded upon approaching. If this continues, the black mist will soon engulf the entire Taiji Realm, erasing it from existence."

Joe Di was deeply puzzled. The Taiji Realm was a grand domain, its cosmic laws complete and perfect, and it even hosted Dao Integration experts. Could this black mist truly corrode even the spiritual sense of Dao Integration cultivators?

"No one has stepped forward?" Joe Di frowned and asked.

Luna Fairchild replied sorrowfully, "Although I was born in the Prime Essence World, I spent many years in the Taiji Realm and have deep feelings for it. I even planned to settle there. Of the Fivefold Realm, Taiji Realm suffered the least destruction, but because it lacks a true leader—no one with absolute authority—the realm is scattered and divided.

After this disaster struck, no one took the lead, so my Master stepped forward. But my Master's strength is limited, and she was gravely injured while investigating the black mist... She told me that if anyone could save the Taiji Realm, it would be you, Brother Joe. I left the Taiji Realm and searched everywhere for news of you. Two years ago, I finally heard your name mentioned in the Mountainview Forbidden Zone, so I came as quickly as I could."

Luna Fairchild never forgot her Master's words, and she herself believed them. Back then, the Prime Essence World was even more ruined than the Taiji Realm, but because of Damian Ning, it rose again. Likewise, if the Supreme Ease Realm hadn't had Damian Ning, it too might have been lost.

In her Master's eyes, Joe Di and Damian Ning were the same kind of people. Besides, Joe Di likely possessed the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram. If that were true, then Joe Di was the best hope to rescue the Taiji Realm.

Joe Di hesitated. He truly had no time to go to the Taiji Realm. But if what Luna Fairchild said was true, any further delay could mean the total destruction of the Taiji Realm.

Joe Di felt some affection for the Taiji Realm. After all, it was where he was once rescued, and he had acquaintances there.
