Ice‑Soul Wisp King

"Senior Sister, that's the whole story. Are you willing to leave here with me?" On a mountaintop hundreds of li outside the Imperial Capital, Ian Song and Lena Ling sat side by side on a large blue boulder.

After leaving the tavern, Ian had teleported Lena straight here, then told her everything about his origins and asked if she was willing to leave this world with him.

Lena was still a little tipsy. She shook her head to clear it, then stared at Ian for a long moment before asking, "So who are you really? Ian Song or Second Fool?"

"Both!"

Ian answered.

"Then in what capacity would I go with you?" Lena pressed.

Ian didn't answer. Instead, he pulled Lena into his arms and kissed her hard on those lips that still carried a faint scent of wine.

"Mmmph!"

Lena struggled fiercely, but was soon overwhelmed by the dominating kiss.

Only after half a quarter of an hour did Ian finally let go of Lena, whose cheeks were flushed and eyes dazed. He grinned, "Will you come with me now?"

"No way!" Lena snapped, a little annoyed.

"Hmph!"

Ian snorted and kissed her again, this time even more forcefully.

After a long while, he let go of Lena and asked again, "Are you coming with me or not?"

"Still not going!" Lena replied, her eyes now sparkling with mischief.

"Looks like that's still not enough!"

Ian flipped Lena onto the boulder, kissed her deeply again, and this time let his hands wander under her clothes, grasping her soft, delicate curves.

"Ah... Don't! Fine, I'll go with you!"

With Lena settled, Ian teleported her back to the Jade Maiden Sect estate, telling her to say goodbye to her sisters. Then, he headed straight for the Lesser Immortal Realm.

"Master, your disciple has something to report!"

Ian barged straight into Elder Gideon Skyreach's modest residence.

"So flustered—did you get into trouble again?" Elder Gideon chuckled.

Ian couldn't help but roll his eyes. Then, with a flip of his hand, a Frost-Soul Pill appeared. "Master, do you recognize this pill?"

"You little monkey, do you really think your master has been living in ignorance all these years?" Elder Gideon retorted, not bothering to hide his annoyance.

Ian pressed on, "So does the Frost-Soul Pill actually work for you, Master?"

Elder Gideon replied, "It has some effect! But the Ice-Soul Wisps needed to refine this pill are far too rare. If you could gather over a thousand Ice-Soul Wisps, you could refine a whole furnace of Soulfrost Pills. Taking just one would greatly strengthen an Immortal soul!"

"That's what I wanted to hear!" Ian cheered. "I know a place where there's a huge supply of Ice-Soul Wisps!"

"How many?" Elder Gideon asked, suddenly interested.

He'd been an Immortal for years, but his soul had never truly grown stronger. If he could refine a whole furnace of Soulfrost Pills, just one would boost his soul severalfold. So when Ian said there was a huge supply, he couldn't help but get excited.

Meeting Elder Gideon's eager gaze, Ian held up one finger.

"Ten thousand?"

Elder Gideon blurted out, overcome with excitement.

"More than that—there should be over a hundred thousand, and there's even an Ice-Soul Wisp King!" Ian explained. Back when he used Weakwater to open up the Flamefrost, he found the world where the Ice-Soul Wisps gathered. Just at the entrance, he collected thousands.

If he actually entered that world, who knew how many more Ice-Soul Wisps he could harvest? Conservatively, there had to be at least a hundred thousand inside.

"What?"

Hearing there were actually a hundred thousand Ice-Soul Wisps, Elder Gideon's soul trembled. Even more incredible, there was an Ice-Soul Wisp King. According to ancient records, only when the number of Ice-Soul Wisps reached hundreds of thousands could a king form.

Ice-Soul Wisps have no offensive power, but the Ice-Soul Wisp King possesses terrifying soul attacks. Its soul is as strong as an Immortal's.

But if it could be captured and refined into Soulfrost King Pills, even one pill—fully absorbed—could boost an Immortal soul more than tenfold.

Thinking of this, Elder Gideon couldn't help but grab Ian's arm. "Disciple, where is this place?"

Ian grinned, "Master, don't rush. No one knows about this place yet. Even if someone did, there's still a thick layer of Flamefrost outside!"

Elder Gideon gradually calmed down after hearing Ian's explanation. "You're right. But the Ice-Soul Wisp King has strange soul arts—I'm afraid I can't capture it alone. Why not invite the other elders to join us?"

His last sentence was a request for Ian's opinion.

Ian thought for a moment. "Not Elder Marcus Solitude. You can bring Elder Faye Moon. As for the others, Master, you decide."

"You really are petty! Elder Solitude may have been wrong, but you already squeezed fifteen hundred immortal stones out of him—he'll be hurting for years!" Elder Gideon laughed, then sent a message to the other elders.

Within a few breaths, Elder Adrian Zhou, Elder Bloodsun, Elder Grace Foxwell, Elder Nathan Chen, and Elder Faye Moon all arrived.

"Brother Gideon, calling us here in such a hurry—did your disciple get into trouble again?" Elder Grace Foxwell asked with a smile.

"So in your eyes, I'm just a troublemaker?" Ian grumbled.

"Not this time. He's actually brought you all a great opportunity!" Elder Gideon said proudly.

"Oh? Let's hear it." The elders were intrigued.

"Do you know about the Ice-Soul Wisp King?" Elder Gideon asked.

"What? Did Ian really find the Ice-Soul Wisp King?" Elder Foxwell exclaimed in disbelief.

"That's right!" Ian nodded.

Elder Faye Moon was excited. "A single Ice-Soul Wisp King can be refined into at least ten Soulfrost King Pills. Each pill can make our Immortal souls ten times stronger. If we ascend to the Immortal Realm, even without the Pool of Immortal Transformation, we could forcibly condense an immortal body!"

After a brief discussion, the six Immortals decided to set out immediately. Ian, of course, had no objections.

He revealed this secret to Elder Gideon partly out of gratitude, and partly so that, after receiving his favor, the elders would look after the Jade Maiden Sect and Yin-Yang Sect.

He had many enemies. Once he left this world, those enemies might target the Jade Maiden Sect and Yin-Yang Sect.

The Immortals moved with incredible speed. Even without using their full power, a single shift took them a hundred thousand miles.

In less than half a quarter-hour, they reached the Flamefrost wall in the canyon.

"This Flamefrost is precious, but even with our cultivation, it's hard to forge it into weapons!"

Elder Bloodsun's eyes gleamed as he gazed at the vast Flamefrost.

"Let's do it—let's remove this whole Flamefrost mountain!" After a brief sigh, the Immortals prepared to forcibly move the massive Flamefrost.

"Wait!"

Ian called out.

"Ian, do you have a suggestion?" Elder Grace Foxwell asked.

"I've got this!"

Ian produced a gourd sealed with a talisman. Removing the seal, he pointed, sending a stream of water from the gourd onto the Flamefrost. Instantly, the Flamefrost softened, and with a sweep of his sword, Ian cut off a large chunk.

"Who can forge weapons?" Ian asked.

"Let me!" Elder Nathan Chen reached out, grabbed the chunk of Flamefrost, and began forming hand seals. The Flamefrost rapidly changed shape, finally becoming a set of radiant armor.
