Feathered Serpent Hatchlings Are Too Naive

However, although they were knocked off the platform by her power, they weren't hurt at all. Spinning around, they flew right back.

No wonder they're Earth-grade spirit beasts—even these newly hatched Feathered Serpent babies are so strong!

Grace ran to the edge of the cliff and whistled for her Falcon.

The Falcon broke free from the little Feathered Serpents and flew toward her.

Grace leapt onto the Falcon's back, just about to escape, when she suddenly realized—oh no!

Ray had somehow run out, and now she’d left him behind on the platform at the cave entrance.

Compared to those Feathered Serpents, he was tiny!

Grace didn’t think he had Felix Xi’s cultivation or intimidation factor.

He was just a little dragon baby with no cultivation at all!

"Ray!" Grace called out, steering the Falcon back to the platform and jumping down to rescue him.

Just then, a strange scene unfolded.

Those three not-quite-grown Feathered Serpents... actually lowered themselves, as if bowing to Ray.

Grace froze in place, stunned.

Ray lifted his little body, seemingly talking to the young Feathered Serpents. One of them slithered over, picked a few stalks of Golden Ganoderma, and placed them at Grace's feet.

Grace carefully picked them up.

Okay, these little Feathered Serpents must be way too innocent.

They probably think all dragons are super powerful.

Little did they know, Ray was just a baby dragon who could only blow bubbles.

Ray swam up to her, looking up expectantly, as if waiting for her praise.

Grace hurriedly scooped Ray up, jumped onto the Falcon, and flew away as fast as she could.

Seeing that they weren’t chasing after her, Grace finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Then she looked at her miraculous Ray and couldn’t help kissing him. "No wonder you’re a dragon! Even as a baby, you can get Golden Ganoderma without lifting a claw! Mommy’s so proud of you, Ray!"

Ray nuzzled against her hand, his eyes sparkling with joy.

Rona Yin and Felix Xi were both escaping along the return path.

Grace also flew back along the same route.

Soon, she spotted the male Feathered Serpent that was chasing Felix Xi, flapping its wings on a hillside.

Below that hillside, she could just make out a flying beast lying on the ground.

Grace’s heart skipped a beat. Felix Xi!

She landed in the dense forest at the base of the slope, then stealthily made her way over.

At the bottom of the slope, she found Felix Xi, hiding behind a thick bush and peeking up at the hillside.

Grace walked over and patted Felix Xi on the shoulder.

Felix Xi glanced at her and gave her a gesture to keep quiet.

Grace followed his gaze.

She saw Felix Xi’s flying beast, clearly burned in a fire attack, lying on the ground like a scorched crow—definitely dead.

The Feathered Serpent flapped its wings, attacking a Masked Stranger.

The Masked Stranger instantly vanished from his spot, reappeared behind the Feathered Serpent, and struck down with his sword.

The power of that sword strike could split mountains and crack rocks.

The Feathered Serpent tried to dodge but failed, ending up with a wound covered in ice.

The Feathered Serpent cried out and flew away, flapping its wings.

The Masked Stranger didn’t give chase, but instead walked straight toward Felix Xi and the others.

The two of them stepped out and thanked the Masked Stranger, "Thank you for saving our lives."

The Masked Stranger wore a mask, revealing only his eyes.

He looked at Felix Xi but didn’t say a word.

"May we ask your name, sir?" Felix Xi inquired.

The man chuckled softly, then suddenly made his move.

An overwhelming force struck their acupoints, leaving them completely defenseless.

The sudden attack left both of them utterly stunned.
