Later that evening, Cherry Miller recounted the day's events to Yina Yin, making Yina laugh out loud for a long time.
"Oh my, this story is getting more and more interesting! Now there's a love triangle!" Yina laughed so hard she had tears in her eyes. "Cherry, don't turn anyone down too quickly! Let's see what other classic drama unfolds next."
"You just want chaos, don't you!" Cherry gave Yina a cool look. "Aren't you worried that Jenna Kim might do something to me?"
"Would she dare?" Yina glared and said, "You think I don't know my mom secretly arranged two bodyguards to protect you from afar?"
Cherry looked at her speechlessly. "So you're just here to laugh at me?"
Yina sat down beside Cherry, wrapped her arm around her shoulder, and said, "This kind of fun is so rare—let me satisfy my gossip craving! Besides, Jay Kee is pretty interesting. He's openly a player, not exactly a good guy, but not strictly a bad one either. Way better than that fake Derek Tang, right?"
"You really know how to pick your comparisons." Cherry rolled her eyes at Yina.
"It's true! Ugh, after dealing with Derek Tang's fake niceness, seeing Jay Kee be so direct and passionate is honestly refreshing!" Yina exclaimed. "I love his straight-shooter style! For the sake of my limited entertainment, don't reject him too soon!"
"Got it," Cherry replied, speechless at Yina.
Luckily, Jay Kee isn't like Derek Tang with all his fake nonsense, so Cherry was willing to humor him a bit.
Jay Kee is a player, plain and simple.
But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
It's Derek Tang who's really disgusting!
Knock, knock, knock. Someone was knocking at the door.
Bluey quietly slipped over to open the door.
Jay Kee stood outside, looking nervous and peeking in. "Sis Cherry, can I come in?"
Before Cherry could answer, Yina spoke up first: "Come in."
As soon as Jay Kee came in, he saw Yina with her arm around Cherry, sitting together on the couch. A flash of annoyance crossed his eyes as he glared at Yina, then he turned to Cherry and said, "Sis Cherry..."
Yina gave Cherry an encouraging smile, got up, and left the living room to give them space.
Then she hid herself away to watch the drama unfold.
