Just as Evan Frost was about to be swallowed whole by the Dark Abyssal Kraken, he instantly activated Fireshift, and a surge of Heavenfire erupted across his entire body.
His Fireshift had already reached the third layer, making the Heavenfire unbelievably powerful. Even with its monstrous defenses, the Dark Abyssal Kraken found itself unable to withstand the direct onslaught of Heavenfire.
The tentacle wrapped around Evan instantly loosened, and he seized the moment to break free from its grip—a hair’s breadth from disaster.
He hadn’t expected the Dark Abyssal Kraken to launch attacks even while wielding its space domain—truly beyond anyone’s expectations. After escaping its gaping maw, Evan was left with a lingering sense of surviving the impossible.
Still, Evan knew that even if he’d been swallowed, he wouldn’t have feared the beast. At worst, its stomach acid would be more corrosive than most, but with his elemental mastery and bodily defense, he could handle it.
The Dark Abyssal Kraken was utterly shocked as it faced Evan Frost—or rather, sensed him, since its eyes were destroyed and it could only rely on divine sense. Yet somehow, it still managed to face Evan’s direction perfectly.
“Pathetic human, I never thought you could command Heavenfire! You’ve truly surprised this emperor. But it changes nothing—you’re still doomed to die today! The might of the Umbral Kraken race is beyond your comprehension. Now, witness true power!” the Dark Abyssal Kraken roared at Evan.
Evan drew the Frostbane Divine Sword, rapidly channeling his Chaotic Immortal Power. He knew it was time to deliver a real, devastating blow to this monster.
“Dark Abyssal Kraken, show me everything you’ve got—I’ll take it all! Your dark domain is nothing special. You dream of unifying the Immortal Realm? I’ll end you right here and crush that fantasy!” Evan shot back, his words cold and ruthless.
The Dark Abyssal Kraken fell silent. Its ruined eyes had weakened it considerably, and the hatred burning in its heart made it want to drink Evan’s blood and tear his flesh. Suddenly, dense black mist surged from its body, wrapping itself up in a shroud of darkness.
Suddenly, at least eight monstrous tentacles appeared, each dozens of meters long, as the Dark Abyssal Kraken’s body swelled and transformed into a towering black mountain looming before Evan Frost.
“So big? Scary, sure—but what does size matter? You’ll still be cut down by me! Today, I’ll show you the true might of Divine Cleave!” Evan taunted, his voice full of contempt.
Almost instantly, all eight tentacles lashed out at Evan. Having tasted their power once, he had no intention of letting them catch him again—he flashed backward several hundred meters, dodging their range. Against a beast this huge, only the Unicorn Arm could hope to kill it.
Goldwing and the Golden Dragon King could only watch from a distance, powerless to help. Just moments ago, when Evan was nearly swallowed, their hearts were gripped by panic—it all happened so fast that even if they’d wanted to save him, it was too late. Thankfully, Evan’s Heavenfire erupted and turned the crisis around.
Sensing Evan’s retreat, the Dark Abyssal Kraken charged forward with astonishing speed—its massive size didn’t slow it down at all. But Evan’s Divine Cleave was already prepared. “Die, Dark Abyssal Kraken!” he roared.
With a furious shout, Evan unleashed a world-shattering attack. The colossal sword-qi burst into the sky, shaking the entire space as if the heavens themselves would collapse—sending chills down the spine of anyone watching.
Evan held nothing back—his only goal was to kill this monster. The Dark Abyssal Kraken was even more terrifying than the Roc King, perhaps the toughest, most resilient opponent he’d ever faced.
The Frostbane Divine Sword’s sword-qi streaked through the void like a meteor, slamming into the Kraken’s tentacles. Their legendary defense meant nothing before Divine Cleave.
The power of Divine Cleave was simply unstoppable. All eight tentacles were shredded to nothing in an instant, a thunderous boom echoing as the sword-qi smashed into the Kraken’s mountain-sized body.
Energy storms erupted and spread in all directions. Evan Frost stood in midair like a war god, while the Dark Abyssal Kraken, though blind, sensed the devastating force of the attack with its vast divine sense.
For the first time, a wave of primal fear surged in the Dark Abyssal Kraken’s heart. It couldn’t comprehend how this human could wield such overwhelming power—but now, escape was impossible, and its colossal body was nothing but a perfect target.
In a single instant, Divine Cleave shredded the mountain-sized beast into countless fragments. Thick black mist filled the air—not dark element, but the vaporized blood of the Kraken, so foul Evan Frost instinctively flashed several kilometers away to avoid it.
The Dark Abyssal Kraken was obliterated—no corpse remained. The lake itself was transformed, half its water blasted away by Evan’s attack, the bottom nearly exposed by the terrifying energy.
Thousands of miles of land were flattened, dust clouds soared skyward, and Goldwing and the Golden Dragon King rushed to Evan’s side, their faces a mix of awe and terror.
“Palace Lord, that strike was way too powerful! In the Immortal Realm, there’s no one who could be your match. This move doesn’t even belong to Immortal Realm martial arts, does it? I never thought even a monster like the Dark Abyssal Kraken couldn’t withstand it. Today, I’m truly amazed!” the Golden Dragon King exclaimed.
Evan shot the Golden Dragon King a disgruntled look. “Are you brain-dead? I used this same move against the Roc King, and you were there! Did you forget?”
“I didn’t forget, but I didn’t see it with my own eyes! Back then, your attacks were so fierce, we were buried under rubble and debris. How could I witness such a legendary battle? You truly are the Dragon Clan’s real king—my respect, Palace Lord,” the Golden Dragon King replied.
“Enough with the chatter. You two wait here—I’m heading to the lake bottom to retrieve the soul medicine. But it can only be harvested after the Full-Moon Night, so you’ll have to wait a few days,” Evan instructed.
“Three days until the full moon, right? We’ll wait for you here. Hopefully, there won’t be any more monsters like the Dark Abyssal Kraken,” the Golden Dragon King said.
“Don’t jinx it! Can’t you say something positive for once?” Goldwing shot back, rolling his eyes at the Golden Dragon King.
Evan’s figure flashed as he dove into the lake. With the water level now halved, he quickly reached the bottom. Spreading his divine sense, he immediately located the two golden bodies he’d left as markers, swiftly moving toward them and plunging into the dark undercurrent.
