Long-Planned Scheme

Sean Shaw nodded.

Everyone’s scores are sent straight to His Majesty the Celestial Emperor. He saw them, and at some point, he told Mia.

"You gotta be kidding me!" Ryan Lu blurted out. "She’s the lowest ranked!"

"Mia’s sharp and a total firecracker," Luna Lian said. "She’s saved our team more than once—everyone loves her."

Mia Quinn stuck out her chin and grinned like she’d just scored a win, shooting Ryan a look.

Ryan just sulked, not saying a word.

“That zero score,” Sean Shaw looked at Ryan Lu, “was that you?”

Ryan Lu looked startled. “No way!”

Sean Shaw pulled out his Storage Pouch and fished out a sheet of paper.

It was the original score sheet from today.

Ryan Lu grabbed it and stared, eyes wide. "This really is mine! But... I didn’t give her a zero! Why does it say zero?"

"For real?" Mia snatched it away. "It’s right here in black and white—a big fat zero."

"I swear I didn’t give her a zero! That’s not my handwriting!" Ryan protested.

"If it wasn’t you, then who? And look—no erasing, no tampering!" Mia shot back.

“Darren.” Sean Shaw said, frowning.

“What?” Everyone stared at him in surprise.

“Today, Darren was tallying the scores,” Sean Shaw said. “He’s the only one who could’ve messed with it. He probably used Ink-Eater Gu to erase the original score, then wrote in a zero.”

“But he’s the Prince Consort! Why would he do that?” Ryan Lu asked, confused.

Everyone fell silent.

“Are you all hiding something from me?” Ryan Lu looked at Luna Lian, then at Lucia Lu, then at Adrian Drake. Everyone’s face practically screamed, ‘I know a secret.’

“You all know, but you’re keeping it from me?” Ryan Lu looked genuinely hurt.

“It’s nothing big,” Lucia Lu said. “He probably just wanted the princess to stop suffering and go back to the palace to get married.”

“Then why pick my sheet to change? Isn’t that just making me the bad guy?” Ryan Lu pouted. “We didn’t do anything to him. My sister even cured his mother’s illness!”

“Enough, let’s drop it,” Luna Lian said. “Since Fifth Highness brought out the sheet, no one else will see it. Burn it! From now on, let’s stay out of their business.”

Lucia Lu and Ryan Lu both nodded.

Mia’s big eyes darted around, and she sneakily shot Sean Shaw a look. “Fifth Highness, you’re the best at tidying up. Look, we’ve totally messed up Luna’s room—can you help clean up?”

“No, no, it’s fine!” Luna Lian quickly refused.

But Sean Shaw was already up, gathering the scattered books.

Then he went to tidy up the Flower Egg sitting on the windowsill.

He casually moved the Flower Egg outside, then took a flowerpot from his Storage Pouch and placed it on the windowsill.

Inside the flowerpot, a bunch of Luminous Golden Chalice Blooms were packed together, bright and fresh.

The pot was gorgeous, and sitting on her windowsill, it made the whole room look brighter and classier.

Mia clapped her hands and declared, "Now the whole place feels sunny!"

Adrian Drake chimed in, "This one actually smells good. That Loveblossom was way too strong—gave me a headache after a while."

Luna Lian just quietly watched him work, saying nothing.

Lucia Lu covered her mouth, giggling nonstop from the sidelines.

“What are you laughing at?” Luna Lian asked via sound transmission.

"Honestly, ever since he bought that flowerpot in Divine City, he’s been plotting to boot that Flower Egg out," Lucia Lu replied. "Talk about a long game."
