Morning Tea

After breakfast, only Amy and Lucas Lin seemed to enjoy the meal. Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama ate mechanically, barely noticing what was on their plates.

Lucas Lin and Amy were too full to eat any more.

Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama kept feeding each other mechanically.

Finally, Lucas Lin gently pressed Rona Muir's hand and said softly, "Rona, I can't eat anymore. I don't need to lose weight right now, but I can't get too fat either, otherwise I won't look good on camera when filming."

Rona Muir snapped back to reality and apologized, "Sorry, I forgot you have to maintain your figure."

Lucas Lin smiled and shook his head, "Shall we go back? I've already asked the staff to change the bedding in my room. If you have things to do, go ahead. I'll wait for you in the room."

Rona Muir remembered she had to apply medicine for him at night and nodded, "That's fine. I'll be busy during the day."

"Then I'll wait for you for lunch," Lucas Lin added quickly.

Rona Muir hesitated, then nodded, "Okay."

Hearing Lucas Lin and Rona Muir's conversation, Jiro Hirayama didn't say a word, stood up abruptly, and left.

Amy gave a meaningful smile and turned to follow Jiro Hirayama.

After they left, Rona Muir regained her composure and said to Lucas Lin, "Sorry, I dragged you into this again today."

"Not at all," Lucas Lin said gently. "We're friends, aren't we? It's my honor to help you. Did you eat enough?"

Rona Muir nodded.

"Then let me walk you back," Lucas Lin said considerately, helping Rona Muir with her coat. He emphasized again, "I'll wait for you for lunch."

Amy got crumbs all over her face. She wanted to refuse, but then thought better of it. Since Jiro Hirayama wanted to annoy Rona Muir, she couldn't miss the chance.

Amy immediately opened her mouth and ate the food Jiro Hirayama offered, pretending it tasted great: "Food you feed me just tastes different!"

Then Amy speared a piece of steak and held it up to Jiro Hirayama: "You eat too."

Jiro Hirayama ate the food Amy gave him, but it tasted like nothing.

So the four of them fed each other out of spite, and nobody paid attention to anyone else.
