Rona Muir did not refuse and left the buffet restaurant with Lucas Lin.
Rona Muir didn’t let Lucas Lin walk her back. Instead, after she sent him to his own room, she returned to her floor, changed clothes, and dove straight back into her experiment.
"President Rona, take a look at this experiment report." As soon as she entered, a researcher handed her some data, excitedly saying, "We’ve pinpointed which ingredient provides long-lasting hydration. It’s a rare compound, only found in the seeds of this particular castor subtype."
Rona Muir nodded, took the report, and read it carefully. She said, "Add it in and run another test."
"Got it!" The researcher replied enthusiastically and went back to work.
"President Rona, look at this. After grinding it into powder, its activity doesn’t seem to last." Another researcher approached and handed her a report: "I tried several methods, but none kept it active for long. For us, if it can’t stay active and rejects preservatives, it’s almost impossible to use in cosmetics."
"Got it. Try another method." Rona Muir nodded calmly. "This is a new ingredient, totally different from anything we’ve seen before, so everyone needs to be patient."
After each researcher finished reporting, Rona Muir picked up a hair tie, pulled her hair back, and threw herself into work.
Rona Muir was carefully shaking a test tube when someone hurried in to report, "President Rona, we’re running out of solvent. If we want to finish the next experiments, we need to mix up a fresh batch ASAP."
Rona Muir’s first instinct was to look for Jiro Hirayama. With him around, anything was possible.
