Three Attributes

Because it was swelling, slowly growing larger, approaching the great completion of the Soul-Gathering Realm, and it showed no sign of stopping.

"Is it really going to break through to the Spirit-God Realm?" Evan was shocked. He didn't want to rush it—according to Reed Kong's notes, only after stabilizing at Soul-Gathering great completion for a long time should one attempt to advance to the Spirit-God Realm, or else unexpected mishaps are likely.

But right now, Evan's Soul-Gathering Area was completely out of his control. The Ice-fire Sacred Flame, Sacred Flame, and lightning were causing chaos, spinning around each other.

The Heaven-Cold Seed emitted green mist to keep them from colliding. Otherwise, Evan could not imagine what would happen—if not soul destruction, at least he'd become a vegetable.

At this moment, Evan could only pray that it would stop at Soul-Gathering great completion and not keep advancing.

But it just wouldn't stop, expanding outward madly.

While others would be happy about their cultivation rising, Evan was depressed because it was rising too fast—he couldn't make it stop even if he wanted to.

"I hope the Heaven-Cold Seed can hold out," Evan could only pray that this almighty Heaven-Cold Seed would help him through the crisis.

Especially in the later stages, reaching great completion requires a lot of energy. Advancing past great completion is like scooping water with a cup—it's not enough, and even disaster could happen.

Most importantly, Reed Kong mentioned that if you try to advance halfway without enough energy, your cultivation will be ruined and you'll be stuck there forever, never breaking through to the Spirit-God Realm.

With all his worries in mind, Evan quickly suppressed his stray thoughts, guarded his mind, and tightly shut his eyes. He had the Spirit-Draining Box ready in his hand, prepared to replenish his spiritual power at any moment so he wouldn’t collapse from exhaustion.

He watched as the Soul-Gathering Area kept expanding, spiritual power vanishing rapidly. Evan was thankful for the Spirit-Draining Box, which let him replenish energy in time. Without it, he would’ve long since collapsed, unable to fuel the expansion any further.

So, relying on the Spirit-Draining Box and the Heaven-Cold Seed, Evan began his seclusion.

Time passed bit by bit. After several years, a thunderous boom went off in Evan’s mind, like something exploding inside his head.

The shock nearly knocked him out. When he finally woke up, he found that his Soul-Gathering Area had vanished. His soul and Primordial Spirit were gone, replaced by a single Divine Spirit, with three entities circling it excitedly.

Seeing his Divine Spirit finally formed, Evan was overjoyed, and Eldon was thrilled as well. For years, Eldon had watched Evan’s Soul-Gathering Area change and surge, always on the verge of exploding, but Evan endured the wild growth for years before it finally stopped.

Once it stopped, everything burst open—not an explosion, but a transformation: soul and Primordial Spirit merged into one, forming the Divine Spirit.

Every cultivator’s Divine Spirit has an attribute. Evan was curious what his would be.

Just as he was about to follow Reed Kong’s notes on how to control the Divine Spirit and check its attributes, the three entities suddenly vanished, entering the Divine Spirit.

Startled, Evan quickly checked for any changes in his Divine Spirit.

He focused his mind inside the Divine Spirit and discovered it was a small inner space. At the center was his soul, surrounded by an energy wall like the Primordial Spirit once had.

In short, the Divine Spirit contained Evan’s soul, while the old Primordial Spirit had become the energy source for the Divine Spirit. This is the fusion of soul and Primordial Spirit. Most importantly, there was a small space inside—large enough to fit about ten people, though that’s just a metaphor; it can’t actually hold people.

This is the most fragile part of the Divine Spirit. If the energy wall is breached, the soul can be destroyed, leading to the annihilation of the Divine Spirit.

At this moment, the three entities filled the space around the soul, occupying the entire inner region of Evan’s Divine Spirit.

Fortunately, they didn’t harm the soul. Just then, a green mist appeared around the soul, and the three entities were clearly interested in it, wanting to approach but not daring to, instead circling around the soul.

Seeing the three coexisting peacefully, Evan relaxed and began to study his Divine Spirit.

The Divine Spirit’s attributes could be found on the energy wall. If it was fire attribute, the wall would show fire elements. With a thought, the wall would tremble, and the Divine Spirit could even attack others outside the body.

But Evan was puzzled—he saw everything there: the heat of Sacred Flame, the chill of Ice-fire, and lightning currents. Even more surprising, all were shrouded in a layer of green mist.

“What’s going on here?” Evan muttered to himself.

He quickly opened Reed Kong’s notes, wanting to see if there was any mention of such conditions appearing on the Divine Spirit’s energy wall.

After reading for a while, Evan felt reassured. It turns out some people can develop multiple attributes—water, fire, and others.

But he’d never seen fire and water together; normally, they’re incompatible, and if combined, they’ll inevitably clash.

At least, Evan hadn’t found any conflict between his Ice-fire and Sacred Flame, nor did he dwell on it—he just assumed he was special, with three attributes.

“As long as nothing goes wrong, who cares!” Evan laughed.

At this moment, the worries melted away. For years, he’d feared his Soul-Gathering Area would run out of spiritual power or something else would go wrong.

Luckily, with the Spirit-Draining Box, Evan succeeded—advancing in one leap from late stage to early Spirit-God Realm, something few could imagine. Even Eldon admired him; he remained as before, cultivating outside Evan’s Divine Spirit.

Outside the Divine Spirit, just like the Soul-Gathering stage, there’s a protective zone. It shields the Divine Spirit, and if damaged, can easily harm it, so this area is just as vital as the old Soul-Gathering Area.

With everything stable, Evan decided to test his Divine Spirit. He used his spiritual sense to control it, and the Divine Spirit left his body, just like when his soul once left his body.

The Divine Spirit flew up to where Ye Chen and Winter were chatting.

The two were startled to see something suddenly fly overhead.

“What is that?!” Winter exclaimed in shock.

To test its attributes, Evan willed his Divine Spirit to release fire, and it spewed Sacred Flame—just like when the Phantom Firebird devoured Sacred Flame and grew larger.

Seeing the thing in the air spit fire, both were alarmed and backed away.

Evan didn’t dare hurt them—this was Sacred Flame, not ordinary fire. As expected, the two were flushed from the residual heat and felt uncomfortable.

Winter was a bit better. She waved her hand, and snowflakes appeared, cooling them down for a moment.

Seeing this, Evan secretly laughed and teased them. Instantly, the fire turned cold, and the temperature dropped rapidly. Ye Chen began to shiver, but Winter was fine.

This discovery made Evan curious about Winter. Until Ye Chen shivered and asked, “What is that thing, anyway?”

Seeing Ye Chen almost unable to handle it, Evan quickly recalled his Divine Spirit and rushed out.

Seeing Evan emerge from seclusion, both were delighted. Ye Chen complained, “Just now, something was in the tower, and it could spit fire and release cold.”

Evan smiled, “Is it like this?” After speaking, his Divine Spirit appeared again.

Winter didn’t know what appeared above Evan’s head, but Ye Chen quickly recognized it and said, “You’ve reached the Spirit-God Realm?”

Evan nodded. He knew Ye Chen’s cultivation wasn’t weak, just temporarily suppressed, so he wasn’t surprised she recognized it.

“What is the Spirit-God Realm?” Winter asked suspiciously.

Ye Chen explained it to her. After the explanation, both stared at Evan in shock.

Seeing them look at him that way, Evan awkwardly smiled, “What’s wrong with you two?”

“Freak!” both said in unison.

“What kind of comment is that?” Evan said, frustrated.

“Kid, tell me, do you have two attributes?” Having just experienced Evan’s hot and cold powers, Ye Chen asked suspiciously.

“Not just two,” Evan replied, evasively.

“Not just two? What else do you have?” Ye Chen exclaimed.

Under their gaze, Evan let his Divine Spirit leave his body, and a lightning ball flew out, startling both and making them step back, staring at Evan in disbelief.

“Fire, ice, and lightning? Kid, what kind of body do you have? Not to mention fire and water being incompatible, but having three attributes—there’s only one case in history, but that was so long ago, only those old monsters know about it.” Ye Chen said, clicking her tongue.

“Three attributes?” Evan did indeed have three, but he didn’t understand: these three existed before the Divine Spirit formed, while others form their own attributes after. So what would his attribute be? Or would it follow one of the three? This puzzled Evan.
