Of course Evan Yang wanted to. After all this time flying close to the surface, aimlessly, even the most patient person would find it dull. With no destination, just flying forward, it felt even more boring than drifting in the void for years.
"I do," Evan Yang nodded.
"Good, then I'll tell you—fly east from here and you'll see the exit," said the young woman.
Evan Yang thanked her gratefully, "Thank you, Senior."
"You may go now," the young woman said.
Before leaving, Evan Yang turned back and asked curiously, "May I know how you two Seniors are called? And why are you here?"
"We've already told you so much, and you still ask so many questions," the maid said, displeased.
Evan Yang almost wanted to kick her off the cliff and scold, "Your mistress hasn't said anything, so why are you spouting so much nonsense?"
The young woman smiled, "When the time comes, you'll naturally know. As for this place—Thunder Lake. This is Thunder Lake Isle."
Seeing the young woman unwilling to reveal her name, Evan Yang could only say, "Thanks, then. I'll take my leave."
As Evan walked out of the cave and reached the cliff below, he muttered, "Should I just climb down like this?"
At this moment, the young woman and her maid followed from behind. The maid laughed, "Can't get down, can you?"
"Who says I can't?" Evan replied, speechless, then flashed and began to climb down.
Not long after he started climbing, he heard the young woman's voice transmit, "Let me send you down one level."
Before Evan could react, he found himself already at the shore of the island. He looked back at the mountain—it was still hazy, with no sign of the people or their voices, not a trace left.
"Strange, who are they really, and why are they here?" Evan wondered, puzzled.
Meanwhile, the two women stood atop the cliff, watching Evan at the shore and began discussing him.
"Miss, why did you tell him about this place? And let him leave?" the maid asked suspiciously. She knew well that as long as her mistress was unwilling, ordinary cultivators entering this lake would never escape—like a vast lake with no end in sight.
The young woman smiled, "He is interesting."
"Interesting?" The maid was confused. She had seen many interesting people, but this was the first time her mistress revealed the lake and the exit to a mere ordinary cultivator.
"Isn't it interesting for someone to have the seeds of water, fire, and even the nascent form of lightning in their body?" The young woman smiled, looking in Evan Yang's direction.
"What? Water? Fire? And lightning?" The maid was truly startled.
"I'm curious how he can possess so much and still survive," the young woman said with a smile.
"Miss, do you really plan to let him go? What if he tells outsiders about this place? Wouldn't that invite endless trouble?" The maid protested after her initial shock.
"He probably won't. If he does, we can just change things up. Want to find Thunder Lake Isle? No one else will, except him." The young woman smiled.
"Miss, what do you mean? Are you going to remove the island?" The maid asked, startled and suspicious.
"Yes, almost. We've finally waited for a suitable candidate." The young woman smiled.
"Him? Impossible, Miss—he's just an ordinary person!" The maid was clearly shocked by her mistress's choice.
"Both fire and water have chosen him, and lightning is present in him too. It means he is fated with lightning. Since he has that fate, why not test him?" The young woman smiled.
"But he's far too weak. To reach that realm might take hundreds of millions of years. He could die before ever making it." The maid clearly opposed the young woman's choice of Evan Yang.
"Let's see. I'm curious what will happen to his body with so many seeds inside." The young woman smiled brightly, clearly anticipating Evan Yang's future strength.
"You're crazy, Miss—absolutely crazy. I think any random immortal would be stronger than him." The maid clearly did not want to see Evan Yang, so weak, chosen.
"Choosing someone isn't about how strong they are now, but about their potential," the young woman explained to the maid.
"Fine, but how do you prove he has potential? Miss, don't tell me you can see it at a glance." The maid said helplessly.
"Just watch. We'll see soon enough. If he passes the trial, good. If not, it's his own fault." The young woman smiled.
"Miss, what do you mean?" The maid asked suspiciously.
"Just watch." The young woman drew a circle in the air, and suddenly, Evan Yang's location and every move appeared before the two women.
It was as if a mirror reflected every place Evan Yang passed through before their eyes.
Evan Yang had no idea who these two really were. But now that he had a direction, he started heading toward the cave.
At first, nothing seemed unusual. But as he went further, the sky grew darker. It was the first time he'd seen night here—until now, there had been no darkness at all. The sudden change felt strange to Evan Yang.
