Chapter 1151

"Damn it, how does Matthew Merlin do it? I was just wondering why all those Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts suddenly abandoned their territories and came stampeding this way."

So it was all to attack Matthew Merlin. How is he managing this—dozens of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts!

It's only been a few hours, and Matthew Merlin has already brought down more than twenty beasts.

At this pace, he'll have enough Mana Crystals for a drop of Beast God's Blood in less than two days...

Daugtu's face was clouded with confusion, unable to fathom how this was happening. Felton, meanwhile, was already growing restless.

Daugtu looked utterly perplexed, unable to make sense of the situation. Felton, meanwhile, was growing impatient.

That's over twenty Mana Crystals! Think about it—how many Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts have we hunted in the past ten days?

Seven!

In ten whole days, we've only gotten seven Mana Crystals!

Damn it, at this rate, when will we ever gather enough Mana Crystals to exchange for a decent True Spirit Artifact?

Those muscle-headed Blazeforge Orcs—there are already six genuine Sky Rank warriors among them, and the strongest, the Golden Orc, hasn’t even made an appearance yet.

That one, reputed to be the mightiest Golden Orc General here, has surely broken through to Sky Rank by now.

Even before his breakthrough, he could already unleash Sky Rank strength. Now, there’s no one left who can challenge him.

That greedy leech Matthew Merlin is practically forcing us to the brink!

If it weren't for Dunespire Tower's sensitivity to the earth's pulse, we might not have discovered anything happening here.

By the time we realized, Matthew Merlin had already lured every Pseudo Sky Rank Beast in the Blazeforge Battlefield here and taken them out.

When that happens, none of us will ever be able to hunt another Pseudo Sky Rank Beast. If we end up in a full-scale war with the Blazeforge Orcs, we're all dead.

That damned greedy vampire, that fool—does he really think collecting enough Mana Crystals will be enough to handle those Blazeforge Orcs?

We're taking these Pseudo Sky Rank Beast corpses for the good of the entire alliance.

Lord Daugtu, let's act now!

Daugtu hesitated.

"Lord Felton, is it really right for us to snatch our ally's hunted prey? Besides, Matthew Merlin is no pushover—his strength is probably second only to Lord Didara of Burning Tower.

And his followers are no weaklings either. We..."

Before Daugtu could finish, several startled cries erupted nearby.

"Damn it, what is that?!"

"Shit, that's a Mana Crystal!"

Daugtu turned toward the battlefield, spotting the center of the Radiant Barrier. At the seemingly ordinary, barren mountain peak, fire energy kept converging, runes of Law Sigils appeared on the surface, along with more alchemical patterns.

In an instant, the barren mountain turned semi-transparent, revealing densely packed Law Sigils and alchemical patterns inside. But after just three seconds, the change vanished, and at the summit, a Mana Crystal rapidly condensed.

Felton, always greedy for Mana Crystals, eyes blazing red, threw off his robe's hood and shrieked in excitement.

"Damn it, what did I just see? That's an Alchemical Array!

Shit, I finally get why the Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts in the Blazeforge Battlefield never run out. Damn it, that ancient orc who died ages ago was talking about this thing.

All these strange Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts were manufactured!

This is where Mana Crystals are made—all of them come from here!

That bastard Matthew Merlin actually wants to monopolize this Alchemical Array. That greedy vampire—no, he's even worse than those filthy goblins.

Lord Daugtu, we can't wait any longer. This Alchemical Array must be in Dunespire Tower's hands. We absolutely can't let a fool like Matthew Merlin control it.

Just think about it: if it was only about luring Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts, it wouldn't be so bad. At least we could still hunt other beasts.

But that bastard Matthew Merlin not only drew in hordes of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts, he also seized this Alchemical Array. Soon, we won't be able to get a single Mana Crystal.

We're all doomed. This kind of Alchemical Array must never fall into the hands of someone as despicable as Matthew Merlin.

Anything we want could end up being snatched away by that bastard Matthew Merlin—Endless Sand, Sandfall Grimoire, Great Earth Totem, Elemental Chapter...

Everything will have nothing to do with us anymore.

Just think about it—if we take control of this Alchemical Array, we’ll never have to risk our lives hunting again. No more scrambling around like starving dogs, wasting time searching for Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts.

All we’d have to do is guard this place, and we’d get a steady stream of Mana Crystals. Anything we want, we could trade for!

As long as we have enough Mana Crystals, the things we can exchange from that temple would absolutely boost Dunespire Tower’s strength to a whole new level!"

Felton, eyes red with urgency, kept painting a glorious future to tempt the Dunespire Tower mages.

Suddenly, everyone’s eyes were shining green. Even Daugtu—the most conservative of the bunch—had reddened eyes. He’d had his eye on the Great Earth Totem for ages.

That thing’s a specialty of the Earth Elemental Plane—both a magical material and a top-tier artifact in its own right.

But it’s just too rare. Dunespire Tower only has one, and it’s held by a Sky Rank powerhouse—he never had a chance to get it.

Just seeing it on the temple’s exchange list was enough to tempt Daugtu. If you made the Great Earth Totem into an accessory, it would boost earth magic by twenty percent—even for Sky Rank powerhouses!

But it takes eighty-nine Mana Crystals to exchange for the Great Earth Totem. There’s no way they’d use all their crystals just for him...

Except for Daugtu, everyone else had their own favorites—but none of them had enough Mana Crystals.

So far, the only thing they’d managed to trade for was Endless Sand, something that boosted everyone’s strength.

Felton, eyes still red, pointed toward the battlefield.

"Lord Daugtu, what are you still hesitating for? Just look—Matthew Merlin, that damned bastard, won’t even let the beasts’ corpses go.

He’s trying to scoop up every last Mana Crystal for himself. This Alchemical Array can only be controlled by Dunespire Tower outside.

Felton kept trying to sway them, and now every mage from Dunespire Tower was red-eyed, staring at Daugtu.

Daugtu was the leader this time—without his nod, no one dared make a move.

A glint of greed flashed in Daugtu’s eyes, and he couldn’t help but nod.
