Serena Tong Invited Me

2/14/2026

Serena Tong's fan meeting was scheduled to be held in the reception hall of the Shanggrida Grand Hotel in Capitalview City.

These past few days have been a whirlwind, with people coming and going nonstop.

The entire hall was meticulously decorated, with artistic photos from every stage of Serena Tong's career hanging all around, along with plenty of film stills.

As soon as the news broke, it immediately drew fans and movie buffs from all the surrounding cities and counties.

There were so many people that tickets were almost impossible to get.

Mason He watched with a toadying grin as Eric Yu, swarmed by fans, signed autographs left and right. In his heart, he felt a cocktail of envy, jealousy, and resentment.

"Not bad, Serena's actually super chill. She personally hooked me up with the ticket for today," Eric Yu said, finally finishing up a stack of autographs for the girls and squeezing out of the crowd. Hearing Mason He's comment, he flashed an even bigger grin, his eyebrows pure smugness.

Then he purposely glanced over at Lynn Chen, who was standing off to the side.

Lynn Chen wasn’t dressed up or anything—just simple, chill clothes. Even so, with a little effort, her natural sweetness totally stood out.

But since getting out of the car, Lynn Chen had barely said a word.

"Linyan, come on, I’ll take you guys inside."

Eric Yu walked up to Linyan and spoke softly, which immediately set off a wave of excited screams from the fans nearby.

People started hollering and making a scene. With how Eric Yu was treating Linyan, it was obvious this would hit the gossip blogs in no time.

That was exactly what Eric Yu wanted.

Wendy Wen didn’t care much about Eric Yu. Instead, she turned to look at the Shanggrida Grand Hotel, her face full of excitement. “Serena Tong isn’t just known as the ice-queen goddess—she’s also called the Queen of Arthouse Films. Did you guys know that?”

Lynn Chen hesitated. She wasn’t into being stared at by a crowd, and Eric Yu’s popularity was honestly way more intense than she’d expected.

"No way! If you weren’t here, Eric probably wouldn’t have brought any of us!"

Ordinary celebrities rarely caught Wendy Wen’s interest, but Serena Tong was the one exception who truly moved her.

"We’re already here, so let’s just go in and check it out," Eric Yu said, grinning.

“Serena Tong was called a goddess the moment she debuted. Every time I saw her in a movie, I was blown away. Honestly, we’re only getting to see her in person this time thanks to Eric!”

"He can't even compare with Eric. Eric’s a legit star—he might even snag some big awards in the future, right?"

A few of the girls nearby just kept gossiping away.

Just walking next to Eric Yu made them feel like VIPs.

Someone brought up all those rumors about Evan Lin and Lynn Chen at school. Everyone just rolled their eyes, making it obvious they were rooting for Eric and Lynn.

"Fine, let’s go check it out," Lynn Chen finally gave in and headed for the fan meeting hall at the Shanggrida Grand Hotel.

The Shanggrida Grand Hotel was decked out in pure luxury. As a five-star spot, it had all sorts of artwork everywhere, plus a giant fountain right in the middle.

With Serena Tong’s fan meeting happening, the hotel was taking things super seriously. Security guards were stationed outside to keep things chill, and anyone heading into the hall had to get their tickets checked by staff.

Eric Yu led Lynn Chen and the crew inside. As he looked around, he suddenly spotted someone just standing there in the lobby, super casual. Eric raised his brows, smirked, and walked right over.

"Whoa, didn’t think you’d show up for Serena too. But do you even have a ticket? They’re crazy hard to get." Eric Yu strolled up, his voice full of mockery as he looked at the guy in front of him.

"Evan Lin?"

It was only then that Linyan and the others realized who was standing in front of them. They all froze in surprise.

"Dang, never pegged you for a fanboy," Mason He snarked.

"Did you seriously just tag along after us? Sneaking around solo—if you’d spoken up, you could’ve hitched a ride in Eric’s Bentley," one of the girls teased.

Wendy Wen hadn’t expected to see Evan Lin here either. She just snorted and kept quiet.

"Serena Tong invited me," Evan Lin said flatly, looking right at them.

"Serena invited you? Bro, you think you’re hot stuff or something!" Eric Yu looked stunned for a second, then cracked up. "You clearly don’t get it—Serena hates all that favor-trading. She invited you? Who do you think you are, trying to flex in front of her?"

A few of the girls nearby kept chattering away.

They felt important just walking next to Eric Yu.

At that moment, someone remembered the rumors about Evan Lin and Lynn Chen’s relationship at school. They all scoffed, clearly siding with Eric and Lynn.

"Alright, let’s go check it out," Lynn Chen finally relented and headed toward the fan meeting hall at the Shanggrida Grand Hotel.

The Shanggrida Grand Hotel was lavishly decorated. As a five-star hotel, it was filled with all kinds of artwork, and a large fountain stood in the center.

With the fan meeting for the superstar Serena Tong taking place, the hotel took it very seriously. Security guards were stationed outside the lobby to keep order, and anyone wanting to enter the hall had to have their tickets checked by staff.

Eric Yu led Lynn Chen and the others inside. As he glanced around, he suddenly spotted a casually standing figure by the lobby. Raising his eyebrows with a playful look, he didn’t hesitate to walk over.

"Surprised to see you here! Did you want to see Serena too? But do you even have a ticket? They’re really hard to get." Eric Yu walked up, a mocking tone in his voice as he looked at the boy before him.

"Evan Lin?"

It was only then that Lynn Chen and the others realized who was standing in front of them. They all froze in surprise.

Wow, I didn’t expect you to be a fan too," Mason He said mockingly.

Did you follow us here? Sneaking around all by yourself—if you’d spoken up earlier, you could have ridden in Eric’s Bentley with us," one of the girls joked.

Wendy Wen hadn’t expected to run into Evan Lin here either. She just snorted and said nothing.

"Serena Tong invited me," Evan Lin replied calmly.

Serena invited you? You really think you’re something, huh! Eric Yu was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing. "You probably don’t know Serena hates owing people favors. She invited you? Who do you think you are? Trying to show off in front of her?"
