Nine Li had already used a Messenger Charm to tell her that Baxa was here. Lily Bai raised her eyebrow, "You haven't left yet?"
Baxa hummed in response.
"So what are you doing at the Sigil Sect?"
"I have no idea."
Lily Bai: "You have no idea?"
"He said... just do whatever."
"Just do whatever?" Lily Bai clicked her tongue twice. "So what have you actually been doing here this whole time?"
"Big Brother Baxa has been teaching me how to cultivate," Nine Li chimed in from the side. "He's super awesome—he even found me a cultivation method that's perfect for me! Sis, I'll show you sometime!"
Lily Bai glanced at Baxa, raising her eyebrow again.
"Have you been with Divine Lord Tanya Quinn lately?" Baxa suddenly sent her a voice transmission.
"Yep!" Lily Bai replied via voice transmission.
"I heard the Phoenixfire Zither's string can fish out past-life memories from the Oblivion River. Did she help you recover your memories?"
Lily Bai: "Eh? Why do you think that?"
"Because just now, you really weren't afraid of Lord Noctis." Baxa said.
Lily Bai smiled and winked at him. "I'll pass your question along."
"Big Brother Baxa, Senior Sister, are you guys talking via voice transmission?" Nine Li looked from one to the other.
"Nine Li, there's no Baxa here!" Lily Bai said.
Nine Li: "Huh?"
"While I'm gone, you need to guard the gate properly," Lily Bai said. "Don't let the Demon Emperor's people sneak in to snoop around!"
Nine Li widened his eyes, looked at Baxa, then at Lily Bai, and nodded repeatedly, "Mm-hmm!"
"Also, even though we've failed at breaking the array, you still need to keep researching new ways to crack it. Don't stop! Stay sad, stay motivated, keep working hard! Got it?"
"Ha! Got it, got it!" Nine Li shrugged. "Whether we break the array or not, we have to give it our all!"
Lily Bai nodded and sent Baxa a voice transmission: "Be super careful not to let anyone find out your true identity! Otherwise, the Sigil Sect will be in huge trouble."
Baxa nodded.
...
Lily Bai arrived outside the Tribulation Storm Array and used a summoning art.
This summoning art was just too handy—she cast it, and Sean Shaw appeared instantly, his eyes deep and steady as he looked at her.
Lily Bai happily flew over to him and said, "Sean, I'm here!"
Sean Shaw asked, "Why are you here?"
Lily Bai: "...Can't I come just because I want to?"
Sean Shaw: "It's not good if people find out."
"Oh, come on! I've gone in so many times already! Hurry up and take me in!" She grabbed Sean's hand and pulled him along. "I want to see my junior brothers and sisters."
Sean looked at her hand holding his, and couldn't resist the temptation—he took her inside.
He took a roundabout route and brought Lily Bai to visit her junior brothers and sisters first.
They had built houses in the canyon and were living leisurely and comfortably.
There were even two people hiding up in the mountains, being all lovey-dovey—they'd gotten together.
"We really need to get them out," Lily Bai said worriedly. "If they stay much longer, they're going to end up having kids in here."
Sean Shaw glanced at her and said, "It's not time yet."
"So when will it be time?" Lily Bai asked. "Are we just waiting for someone to break the Wildlands Tribulation Thunder Array? And then, surprise! There's a whole bunch of people in here! Sigil Sect disciples really are tough!"
"Break it?" Sean Shaw looked at her. "Who do you think can break it?"
"Maybe I can!" Lily Bai said smugly. "I've been in here so many times, I've already figured out a bunch of its secrets!"
Sean Shaw's face darkened immediately. He said nothing.
