She went to the mountain where the Moonlit Flood-Dragon Cub was recuperating, but couldn't find it. After thinking for a moment, Lily Bai went to Bones's dwelling.
Bones let her in, asking curtly, "Why are you here again?"
"I went to see the Moonlit Flood-Dragon, but it wasn't there," Lily Bai said. "Bones, do you know where it is?"
Bones raised an eyebrow. "Weren't you terrified of it before? Now you're actively seeking it out? Did you already figure out you're Lucia Lu?"
Lily Bai hadn't interacted much with Bones, but she knew he was Azure Flame's companion for tens of thousands of years, and one of Sean's most trusted allies.
And he already knew her true identity.
So she didn't bother hiding it and simply asked, "How did you know I'm Lucia Lu? Did Azure Flame tell you?"
"Back then, when Sean was on the verge of death, he came to me carrying your soul remnant! I was the one who told him to find Lord Hades so you could reincarnate!" Bones said. "How could I not know?"
"On the verge of death?" Lily Bai frowned.
"That's right! He was about to die! But I saved both Sean and the Moonlit Flood-Dragon!" Bones said proudly.
She went to the mountain where the Moonlit Flood-Dragon Cub was recuperating, but couldn’t find it. After thinking for a moment, Lily Bai headed to Bones’s place.
Bones let her in, but looked bored. “Why are you here again?”
“I went to see the Moonlit Flood-Dragon, but it wasn’t there,” Lily Bai said. “Bones, do you know where it is?”
Bones raised an eyebrow. “Weren’t you scared to death of it before? And now you’re seeking it out? Don’t tell me you’ve already figured out you’re Lucia Lu?”
Lily Bai hadn’t interacted much with Bones, but she knew he was Azure Flame’s companion for tens of thousands of years, and one of Sean’s most trusted allies.
And he definitely knew her true identity.
So she didn’t bother hiding it and simply asked, “How did you know I’m Lucia Lu? Did Azure Flame tell you?”
“Back then, when Sean was half-dead, he came to me carrying your soul remnant! I was the one who told him to find Lord Hades so you could reincarnate!” Bones said. “How could I not know?”
“Half-dead?” Lily Bai frowned.
“That’s right! He was about to die! But I saved both Sean and the Moonlit Flood-Dragon!” Bones said proudly.
“So… how did Sean and the Moonlit Flood-Dragon get hurt?” Lily Bai really didn’t know this part. “Was it when they tried to kill the Celestial Empress?”
“It happened before that! To save you, they escaped from the Primeval Sanctuary and got blasted nearly to death by Genesis Bolt tribulation!” Bones said.
“Why… did they get struck by lightning? The Fish should’ve been able to get them out safely!”
“You’ll have to ask the Moonlit Flood-Dragon about that. I don’t know.”
“Where’s the Moonlit Flood-Dragon?”
“Right here!” Bones said. “Sleeping in the inner room. Go take a look.”
Lily Bai walked in and saw a tiny, snow-white dragon curled up on the bed, sleeping soundly.
She tiptoed over and used a spell to check on it.
The Moonlit Flood-Dragon was indeed injured by Genesis Bolt tribulation.
And the injuries were old.
In her previous life, when the Genesis Bolt tribulation struck, she vaguely saw the Moonlit Flood-Dragon break free from the barrier and fly toward her. Was that when it got hurt?
While she was pondering, the little dragon suddenly woke up, opened its eyes and saw her. It rubbed its eyes in disbelief, then softly asked, “Mama?”
Lily Bai’s heart instantly melted. She reached out, picked it up, and gently said, “It’s me, I’m back!”
“Waaah! Mama!” the Moonlit Flood-Dragon burst into loud sobs. “Last time you saw me, you didn’t recognize me! Baby was so heartbroken!”
