Heavenly God Tribulation of the Emerald Immortal Empress (Part Two)

1/19/2026

"What? Jade's about to undergo her Heavenly God Tribulation? That's way too sudden—let's go watch!" Roxanne Lin said excitedly.

As soon as she finished speaking, the Emerald Immortal Empress appeared before them. Evan glanced at Jade and noticed a trace of nervousness on her face. "Jade, don't worry too much. With me here, your tribulation will be fine," he reassured her.

"Young Master, I'm not worried about failing my tribulation. I'm afraid that once I ascend to the God Realm, it'll be hard for you to find me again. The God Realm is unimaginably vast—it's beyond anything you can picture. Even if you teleported nonstop for a year, you wouldn't cross it. With all those people, do you get what I mean?" Jade said.

"It's that big? My god, don't we all appear in the same place when we ascend to the God Realm?" Evan asked in shock, Jade's words clearly catching him off guard.

"The God Realm has many Ascension Pools, just like the Immortal Realm. These pools aren't in fixed locations. If you're lucky, you might appear in pools within the same region; if not, you could end up tens of millions of li apart. You need to be mentally prepared for that," Jade explained.

"Got it. Since that's just how things are, don't dwell on it too much. Just focus on keeping yourself safe. I believe we'll be together again one day," Evan said seriously.

"Young Master, I should ascend within the next two days. I'm about to head to Skyflight Terrace now—will you come with me?" Jade asked softly. After all, she wasn't officially Evan's woman, so having Roxanne Lin say something like that felt a bit inappropriate.

"Of course I'm going! Roxanne and I will accompany you. Let's not notify the others for now. I do want them to see how tough a Heavenly God Tribulation is, so they can learn from it, but I'm worried it might leave a psychological shadow. No time to waste—let's head out now!" Evan said.

Evan then summoned Goldwing, and the three of them rode on his back, speeding off toward Skyflight Terrace. They didn't tell anyone else.

Goldwing was incredibly fast—just over a day and they'd arrived, nearly twice as quick as before. The barrier around Skyflight Terrace was long gone, and Jade stepped right onto the platform.

Evan, Roxanne Lin, and Goldwing stood off to the side. As Evan looked at Skyflight Terrace, he felt a surge of emotion—after all, beneath this platform was the body of a Primordial Fiend. Even if it was only a part, it was still terrifying.

At that moment, the blood in his body felt like it was boiling. "Jade, just focus on your tribulation. If you really run into lightning that's too strong, I'll find a way to help you through it," he promised.

"I understand. I have confidence I can get through it," Jade said solemnly.

Roxanne Lin gripped Evan's hand tightly. Evan could feel her palm slick with sweat—clearly, Roxanne was just as nervous. This was a matter of life and death: if Jade failed her Heavenly God Tribulation, she would be struck by divine lightning and leave not even a trace, with no chance at reincarnation.

Jade was lucky—getting a second chance at tribulation was all thanks to Evan. If Roxanne Lin was nervous and worried, Jade was even more so.

Jade slowly circulated her Immortal Spirit Force, sitting motionless atop Skyflight Terrace. The surrounding Immortal Essence surged toward her, gathering more and more tightly around her as time passed.

Before they knew it, a whole day had passed. Evan could sense Jade's Heavenly God Tribulation approaching. Looking up at the sky, he saw tribulation clouds beginning to gather.

Half an hour later, the tribulation clouds started to churn, covering thousands of li in all directions. Compared to the clouds for ascending to the Immortal Realm, these were far more powerful—just looking at them sent chills down your spine.

Jade opened her eyes, glanced at Evan and the others, and gave them a small smile. Evan knew she was deliberately trying to reassure everyone, but inside she was probably a bundle of nerves.

Another hour passed, and the tribulation clouds began to spin, gradually forming a massive vortex. Lightning flickered inside the clouds, and what was once broad daylight now looked almost like nightfall.

"Young Master, I'll wait for you in the God Realm!" Jade called out, then flew into the sky to face her first lightning tribulation.

Flying in the air actually made it easier to dodge the lightning and to use her martial techniques, letting her unleash their full power and better resist the tribulation.

At that moment, Evan's heart was tense too. He wasn't just worried about Jade—he was thinking of his own Heavenly God Tribulation. He was sure his tribulation would be different from everyone else's, maybe even turn into Heavenly Punishment, because his slaughter karma was so heavy. Escaping heaven's judgment wouldn't be easy.

Just then, Jade's first lightning tribulation appeared—a fire-red bolt of lightning: the Fire Lightning Tribulation!

The lightning wasn't very thick, about as wide as a baby's arm, but the instant it struck, the surrounding space rippled violently, as if the bolt could tear the sky apart.

And this was only the first bolt! No one could imagine how powerful the ones to come would be.

Jade quickly slashed out with her sword, using eighty percent of her strength. If she went all out on the first tribulation, she might not have enough left for the ones after.

Her powerful sword qi collided with the lightning, unleashing a deafening roar. Evan watched as Jade's strike split the fire lightning in two—half shot off into the distance, while the other half still landed on Jade.

Still, that strike had already halved the power of the lightning. She should be able to withstand it.

After being struck by the fire lightning, Jade plummeted from the sky. Dodging wasn't possible—if you could evade tribulation lightning, you'd be escaping the laws of heaven itself. In the Immortal Realm, no one could do that; maybe the strongest in the God Realm or those who'd grasped the laws of heaven could manage it.

Jade crashed down onto Skyflight Terrace, her face pale and a trickle of blood at the corner of her mouth. But she quickly got back up—the lightning hadn't hurt her much.

"Jade, are you alright?" Evan couldn't help but ask.

"Don't worry, Young Master. I'm fine!" Jade replied simply.

She flashed back into the sky to prepare for the second tribulation bolt. Meanwhile, at the top of the tribulation clouds, a middle-aged man was staring intently at Evan and the others below, murmuring, "Senior brother, I can only help her through the first four bolts. Whether she survives the last tribulation depends on her own fate. I hope you understand my reasons."
