Emerald Immortal Empress’s Divine Tribulation (Part One)

1/19/2026

"What happened to them? Haven't they managed to purge the poison yet? Did your Golden Dragon blood not work?" Evan Chu appeared before the Golden Dragon King and asked.

"Palace Lord, the Heaven Mosquito's toxin is far too potent. Even my blood can't remove it. You'll have to find another way," the Golden Dragon King replied, somewhat helplessly.

Evan glanced at Xuan Yuan Yueyan and Goldwing Vulture, then immediately drew out the Frostbane Divine Sword and, without hesitation, slashed open his own wrist, letting golden blood flow forth.

He quickly fed the golden blood into Xuan Yuan Yueyan's mouth. At this moment, she was already unconscious—the Heaven Mosquito's black mist not only paralyzed, but could also stop the heartbeat. Its toxicity was immense; if Xuan Yuan Yueyan and the others hadn't been late-stage Immortal Emperors, able to suppress some of the poison, they might already be at death's door.

Once the golden blood entered Xuan Yuan Yueyan's mouth, Evan moved to Goldwing Vulture's side, cut his wrist again, and let his blood drip into Goldwing's mouth. Goldwing's condition was a bit better than Xuan Yuan Yueyan's—likely due to his innate immortal beast physique.

As for Xuan Yuan Yueyan's Qilin Physique from the God Realm, it likely hadn't awakened due to the seal, and thus wasn't effective. Finally, Evan came before the Emerald Immortal Empress, who hadn't fainted, though her face was extremely pale.

"Young Master, the Heaven Mosquito's poison is too fierce. We underestimated it. Right now, I feel utterly weak and can barely breathe—it's as if a mountain is crushing my chest." Emerald Immortal Empress spoke to Evan, her voice frail.

"Jade, don't speak. I know exactly what's happening to you all. But trust me—I'll purge the poison from your bodies soon!" Evan said.

He then cut his wrist and dripped golden blood into Jade's mouth. Jade didn't resist and swallowed it directly. Instantly, a warm current surged in her abdomen, spreading through her meridians and warming her entire body.

This was Evan Chu's bloodline power—the Primordial Dragon Physique's golden dragon blood, able to dispel all poisons under heaven.

After circulating her energy for a full cycle, Jade sensed the poison had been wiped clean from her veins. Still, her body felt weak and her vitality hadn’t bounced back yet—the aftereffects of the Heaven Mosquito’s venom lingered, refusing to let go so easily.

At that moment, Yvonne Xuan and Goldwing also regained consciousness. The two slowly stood up and walked over to Evan, saying, "Boss, that Heaven Mosquito was terrifying. If not for you, we probably wouldn’t have made it out alive this time."

"Don’t be so polite with me—you’re my brother. How could I ever let you die? Stop worrying and just rest up for now. Get your strength back before we talk about anything else," Evan replied.

He’d considered taking out some recovery pills from the Coiling-Dragon Ring, but worried that those God-Realm medicines might be too much for their current bodies. For now, all he could do was quietly wait for them to recover on their own.

Yvonne had wanted to say something, but when she saw the concern in Evan’s eyes, she stopped herself. Since Evan was here, it meant he’d succeeded in getting the Heaven Mosquito’s blood—the mission was complete.

After about an hour, Yvonne, Goldwing, and Jade had all recovered. With their cultivation realms so strong, it was no surprise they bounced back quickly.

"Let’s head back and see how the others are doing. We have to gather all twelve types of blood so Gavin Wei can refine the suppression pill for the Divine-Blood Parasite," Evan said, his expression serious.

Goldwing shifted into his true form, letting Evan and the others climb onto his back. With a mighty flap of his wings, he sped toward Frostbane Imperial Palace.

Their flight was swift—after about four days, they reached Frostbane Imperial Palace. On the way, they dropped the Golden Dragon King off at Coldshroud Imperial Palace; otherwise, they’d have arrived even sooner.

When Evan’s group arrived at the main hall, Lynn and the others were already inside. Seeing Evan return, Lynn asked, "Lin Feng, how did your mission go? Did you find the One-Horned Cat and Heaven Mosquito?"

"We found them. What about you guys? Is anyone still out there?" Evan asked, worried that the crucial ingredients might be here, but something simple was still missing—if they missed the timing, things could go wrong.

Lynn smiled, "I knew you’d ask. Everyone’s back and handed their blood to Gavin Wei. You’re the last one—Gavin’s waiting for you. Go on, we’ll talk about everything else later."

Evan nodded, then flashed away toward Gavin Wei’s alchemy room. Inside, Gavin was carefully refining a pill, but he immediately sensed Evan’s arrival.

"Boss, I can’t believe you actually found the One-Horned Cat’s blood and Heaven Mosquito’s blood. It’s a miracle! With these, your wife’s condition can be delayed for another five hundred to a thousand years. Add in the Nirvana-Fire seal, and the Divine-Blood Parasite won’t fully take over for at least fifteen hundred years," Gavin Wei said with a smile.

"That’s incredible. Getting these two bloods was no joke—especially the Heaven Mosquito. Its attacks were bizarre, its poison deadly. If anyone else had faced it, they’d have had almost no chance of survival. And it even used a Hexagram Star Sigil to attack," Evan said.

"Every Primordial beast that survived the ancient era has its own unique terror. Don’t dwell on it—just hand me the blood. I promise, in three days, I’ll refine the pill for your wife," Gavin Wei said authoritatively.

"Gavin, I’ll leave it to you. I’m counting on your good news!" Evan said, handing over the blood vials before leaving the alchemy room.

He returned to Roxanne’s room. For now, Roxanne was back to normal. Evan wanted to spend a few days with her while she was lucid—after all, she was his first woman, and his feelings for her ran deep.

"Lin Feng, I heard you all went searching for some truly strange beast bloods for my sake. Thank you for everything," Roxanne said softly.

"Roxanne, let’s go for a walk. Staying cooped up in here all day is stifling—some fresh air will do us good," Evan suggested.

Roxanne naturally had no objections, so the two stepped out together. Just as they were about to take flight, Jade’s anxious voice suddenly rang in Evan’s ears: "Sir, I’m about to face my Divine Tribulation—what should I do?"

The message hit Evan like a thunderclap—Jade’s Divine Tribulation was coming, and fast. He hadn’t expected it to arrive so suddenly; maybe it was triggered by her swallowing his Primordial Dragon blood. Jade’s identity was always a mystery, and now it seemed fate wouldn’t let her rest.

"Roxanne, we need to hurry and check on Jade—she says her Divine Tribulation is coming!" Evan said seriously.
