Unexpectedly, Shawn Young shook his head and said to her, "Don't rush. The monster ahead is far too powerful. We need to prepare ourselves before making any decisions!"
"You're right, we should observe before we act!" Rachel Sasaki nodded in agreement.
"But Shawn, that's the Inagawa Syndicate's main base up ahead! If we attack now, with our current strength, we could wipe them out easily!" Ray Tang said anxiously from the side.
Just then, a few strange roars echoed from the distant villa, followed by a gust of foul-smelling wind. The moon in the sky glowed a bloody red, and a swirl of demonic mist rose into the air. Everyone's eyes widened, because under the eerie red moonlight, two gigantic monsters soared into the sky, locked in a fierce battle, biting and clawing at each other as the demonic wind howled around them.
"Ah! Th-that’s the legendary Orochi! But I have no idea what the other creature is!" Rachel Sasaki cried out, her voice trembling. She recognized Orochi instantly from the ancient scrolls of the Koga Clan, where the creature was vividly depicted.
ROAR! ROAR! CRUNCH!!
In an instant, the two monsters in the sky decided the outcome. Orochi unleashed its demonic power, a bizarre purple light bursting from its chest and striking the Red-Eyed Fiend squarely on the head. The blow split its skull clean in two!
Orochi’s eight terrifying tentacles wrapped around the Red-Eyed Fiend’s remains and stuffed them into its mouth, chewing voraciously.
"My god! There are monsters like this in the world?!" Ray Tang was utterly stunned by what he saw, and the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members who witnessed this terrifying scene were all left in shock, their minds unable to process it.
After defeating its foe, Orochi was badly weakened, its demonic power greatly diminished. It desperately needed to replenish its strength, and its way of doing so was simple: devouring living things! Whether human or animal, Orochi especially loved the taste of humans, particularly their brains, which it found delicious. Having been sealed away in the demon realm for a thousand years by humans, Orochi was naturally filled with hatred and resentment toward mankind.
It drifted through the air, bathed in the blood-red moonlight. Whenever Orochi appeared, the moon in that area would turn a strange crimson. Its eight bizarre heads scanned all around, and soon, it caught the scent of living humans carried by the wind. Twisting its massive body in midair, it quickly spotted the crowd on the ground and, with a shudder, flew straight toward the Dragon Clear Brotherhood's convoy.
"Ah! It—it’s flying toward us! Little Shawn, what should we do now? Should we concentrate our firepower on it?" Ray Tang was extremely nervous. He had experience fighting humans, but monsters were a whole different story, and fear gripped his heart.
"Rachel, you know this demon—do you know how to deal with it?" Shawn Young had never encountered Orochi before, but he could sense its terrifying power and quickly asked Rachel Sasaki.
"Uh, the scrolls only mention its existence, not how to defeat it! I suggest we retreat immediately, or it’ll be too late!" Rachel Sasaki said quickly.
"It’s already too late! Only by joining forces can we resist it!" A crisp, slightly aged female voice rang out beside them. Suddenly, the air stirred, and a dark figure descended from above, landing right in front of Shawn Young.
Everyone looked closely and saw a woman with short silver hair, dressed in strange black clothes. She was beautiful and graceful, but her appearance was so unusual that no one could guess her age!
Most striking of all was the long, oversized wooden case strapped to her back. As she moved swiftly, her steps were light and floating, her speed astonishing.
What shocked Shawn Young was her eyes—they were a vivid purple, sharp and bright, framed by smoky, elegant brows that gave her an air of boldness and mystery.
"Uh, excuse me... Who are you?" Shawn Young didn’t recognize the woman at all, and as she approached, he quickly asked.
"Kid! This is no time to make friends. Worry about surviving tonight first! Orochi is almost here! Get ready, everyone!" The woman in black spoke as she swiftly unstrapped the wooden case from her back. With a twist and a pull, she opened the lid to reveal five massive weapons inside, each radiating a mysterious, ancient metallic glow!
The woman in black reached into the case and drew out one of the giant swords, gripping it with both hands. She lowered her stance, stepping into the Seven Stars position, and began to chant. The sword buzzed and glowed with a ghostly black light. Shawn Young raised an eyebrow—he could sense the powerful true energy she had infused into the blade. Just how strong was she? Shawn was desperate to find out.
The woman in black turned to Shawn Young and said, "Kid, why are you just standing there? Get your people together! When Orochi charges, no one will survive unless we work as one! We'll hold it off for now, and that big guy with the dark face needs to send someone for a truckload of rice wine!"
"Oh? Why do we need so much wine?" Shawn Young couldn't help but ask, curiosity getting the better of him.
"Kid, I'm busy right now—I don't have time to explain! Just know it's for dealing with Orochi! Get someone to fetch a truckload of strong liquor, the higher the alcohol content, the better!" the woman snapped impatiently.
Her words made Shawn Young blush, but Ray Tang immediately turned to several of his men and barked, "You guys, split up and drive out to find whatever wine this... master needs. Buy it, steal it, I don't care—just get it back here as fast as you can!"
"Yes, sir!" The Dragon Clear Brotherhood members jumped into their cars and sped off to hunt for wine.
At this moment, Shawn Young turned to Luna Xiao, May Gu, Rachel Sasaki, and the other women. "Everyone, stay alert—the monster is almost here. As soon as it enters attack range, focus all your power on it!" As he spoke, he quickly formed the Lion Seal and activated the Supreme Pure True Qi within him.
Luna Xiao, May Gu, and Rachel Sasaki each drew their weapons. Luna Xiao readied a shuriken in one hand, while Rachel gripped her wakizashi, and May Gu pulled out a short sword.
Ray Tang snapped back to action, ordering the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members, "Brothers, concentrate your fire! As soon as the monster enters range, open fire immediately!"
As soon as Ray Tang finished speaking, the sky churned with black clouds, and a wave of foul stench descended. A fierce wind whipped through, nearly blinding everyone. Suddenly, a gigantic shadow loomed overhead—Orochi, the terrifying demon god, had charged right in front of them!
