Celestial Thunder Versus Orochi

12/2/2025

"Open fire!!" Ray Tang was shocked at the sight, immediately shouting orders to the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members. He then pulled out two "box cannons" from his body and fired at Orochi, who was less than twenty meters away.

Gunfire erupted all around, a barrage of blazing bullets swept toward Orochi. Suddenly, a faint red glow shimmered over Orochi’s body. Countless bullets struck it, but seemed blocked by the red light, bursting into sparks. Orochi was only slowed for a moment, but remained unfazed, its massive body pressing forward. It quickly charged to the far right, where several Dragon Clear Brotherhood members were desperately firing at it.

Suddenly, Orochi’s eight terrifying tentacles shot out, seemingly growing several times longer, like steel spikes unleashed. With a chilling "whoosh! whoosh!" two Dragon Clear Brotherhood members who couldn’t dodge in time were instantly skewered, their screams cut short as they were killed on the spot!

Orochi’s tentacles flicked again, tossing the two blood-soaked corpses high into the air. As they fell, two tentacles swept viciously.

"Bang! Bang!" The two bodies were actually sliced in half at the waist, organs and limbs scattering like shattered glass. Before the remains hit the ground, Orochi’s tentacles curled around them, delivering them to its eight ferocious heads. It devoured them wildly, flesh and blood flying everywhere. The gruesome scene sent shivers down the spines of the Dragon Clear Brotherhood attackers, faces pale with terror as they instinctively retreated.

"Ah! It—it’s not afraid of bullets! Everyone, retreat! Don’t let it eat you!" Ray Tang finally understood why Shawn Young had urged him to withdraw with his men—this monster couldn’t be dealt with by ordinary people or weapons.

With Ray Tang’s shout, the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members scrambled into the buses, starting the engines. Some still fired desperately at Orochi from inside, trying to stop it from catching up.

But Orochi roared furiously, its massive body lunging forward. Eight terrifying tentacles lashed out, sending several buses flying, tumbling over a dozen meters and crashing into twisted wrecks. Everyone inside was killed instantly.

Just then, a streak of black light shot from behind Orochi, brimming with deadly intent. With a sharp "slash!" it severed one of Orochi’s giant tentacles, which tumbled to the ground, writhing like a massive earthworm.

"Awooo!"

Orochi howled in pain, twisting its body as the remaining seven tentacles lashed fiercely at the attacker. "Boom!" A figure was sent flying by its terrifying force, crashing to the ground and spitting blood. Shawn Young looked over—it was Rachel Sasaki, still gripping her sharp wakizashi and struggling to stay upright.

Having lost a tentacle, Orochi went berserk, quickly identifying Rachel Sasaki as the one who attacked it. Its massive body lunged straight at her. Luna Xiao, nearby, urgently channeled her true energy and shouted, throwing all her darts at Orochi. But with a flick of its tentacle, Orochi shattered every dart aimed at it.

Orochi was only stalled for a moment before roaring and lunging at Rachel Sasaki again, intent on tearing her apart and devouring her. Just then, the black-clad woman standing beside Shawn Young moved—she whipped up a gust of wind and dashed to Orochi’s side, raising her giant sword. Instead of using the blade, she struck Orochi’s massive body with the flat of the sword.

With a thunderous crash, the black-clad woman’s giant sword sent Orochi’s massive body toppling to the ground. Considering Orochi weighed several tons, her strength was truly astonishing.

Seeing her attack succeed, the black-clad woman pressed her advantage, striding over and swinging her giant sword down again and again. Orochi kept extending its long tentacles to block, but was still battered and rolled backward by her relentless power. A red glow shimmered around Orochi’s body, barely protecting it from the sword’s edge; even so, it was forced to roar repeatedly under her furious assault.

The black-clad woman grew more ferocious, her strength seemingly endless. Her unstoppable momentum was like that of an ancient war god. Orochi was overwhelmed, unable to fight back—its seven tentacles curled protectively around its eight heads. The onlookers were stunned, left with only one word to describe the woman: fierce!

Orochi never expected to be beaten so badly by a human. After all, it was a demon god! Enraged, Orochi let out a monstrous roar and stopped clashing head-on with the black-clad woman. Instead, it curled into a huge ball of flesh and suddenly leapt into the air, escaping her wild barrage.

Orochi’s eight ferocious heads all opened their jaws at once, spitting eight beams of red light at the black-clad woman. She quickly swung her giant sword, conjuring a shield of sword energy around herself. The red beams struck the barrier, sparking eight dazzling flashes. The black-clad woman shouted to Shawn Young: "Kid! Hurry up and help me! If you’re any slower, I’ll be roasted!"

Startled, Shawn Young quickly formed a "Lion Seal" with both hands and flipped them toward the sky, chanting: "Divine weapon burns bright, dragon presents the furnace, mighty Vajra, five emperors, spirits connect, light shines on me, heaven and earth’s mystic light, heed my will—let divine thunder descend, by law and command, break!" This was the powerful Taoist spell from the Clear Sky Order—the Celestial Thunder Invocation.

Suddenly, thunder rolled across the sky, and dazzling bolts of lightning snaked down, striking Orochi’s body. The heavenly thunder whipped it around in midair, but still couldn’t harm it—the red aura surrounding Orochi remained. This was its protective guardian qi.

Even after launching the powerful Celestial Thunder Invocation, Shawn Young couldn’t break through Orochi’s guardian qi! He didn’t stop, though—he kept unleashing thunderbolts onto Orochi, each strike exploding in brilliant blue light. Yet Orochi’s defense was freakishly strong, remaining unharmed under the relentless assault!

Shawn Young was shocked—he’d never faced a monster this fierce before!

Although the attacks couldn’t hurt Orochi directly, it was unable to strike back. The black-clad woman had broken free and shouted to Shawn Young: "Kid! Keep it busy—don’t let this monster get a chance to retaliate, or you’ll be in serious trouble!"

Shawn Young kept desperately channeling his true energy, attacking Orochi nonstop, while shouting back: "How much longer do I have to hold out? This monster’s defense is crazy tough!"

The black-clad woman replied, "Just hang in there a bit longer! Once the fine wine arrives, we’ll take care of your problem in one go! Listen, Orochi is the most defensively powerful demon god—if it’s not tough, what is? Even my Xuanyuan Mountain-Splitting Sword can’t handle it!"

Shawn Young couldn’t figure out why they needed fine wine to deal with Orochi, but seeing the black-clad woman’s confident look, he decided to trust her. The battle was at a stalemate—if either side let up for a second, it would mean total annihilation. With no way to retreat, Shawn Young kept gathering his true energy, bombarding Orochi with the Celestial Thunder Invocation without pause.

No one knew how long it lasted, but Shawn Young was starting to feel drained from channeling so much true energy. Casting the Celestial Thunder Invocation took several times more power than ordinary spells! Even with his abundant reserves, the relentless attack was wearing him out.

Still, under the nearly continuous barrage of Celestial Thunder Invocation, Orochi’s seven tentacles hugged its eight heads as it endured the heavenly thunder in midair, temporarily unable to attack.

At that moment, the buses Ray Tang sent out to collect fine wine finally returned. They were loaded with all sorts of containers filled with wine. The black-clad woman immediately ordered everyone to unload the wine, then gripped her Xuanyuan Mountain-Splitting Sword with both hands, shouting as she swept it toward the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Dust flew everywhere. In less than two minutes, the black-clad woman had used her Xuanyuan Mountain-Splitting Sword to dig eight pits, each a meter deep, right in front of her. Everyone stared in confusion, having no idea what she was up to.

But the black-clad woman quickly called out to the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members: "Quick! Pour all the fine wine you brought into these eight pits! Do it now!"

The Dragon Clear Brotherhood members were puzzled. To get all this fine wine, they’d practically scoured all of Kanagawa Prefecture—coaxing, threatening, even snatching—just to gather it. Now the black-clad woman wanted to pour it all into the ground? What a waste!

As everyone hesitated, Ray Tang shouted, "What are you all standing around for? Get moving!"

With Ray Tang’s order, the Dragon Clear Brotherhood members sprang into action, quickly moving the wine from the buses to the eight pits, unscrewing bottle caps and pouring it all in.

A wave of intoxicating aroma spread instantly, carried by the wind. The scent of fine wine filled a radius of nearly two kilometers. The Japanese love sake, though its alcohol content is usually just 15 or 16 percent, but it’s very fragrant. There was also shochu with over 25 percent alcohol, and plenty of beer—all mixed together and poured into the eight pits.

Soon, the eight pits overflowed with wine, the aroma drifting everywhere. Many Dragon Clear Brotherhood members who loved to drink felt their cravings stir, licking their lips uncontrollably.

Then the black-clad woman strode forward, pulled out a packet of mystic powder from her chest, and quickly sprinkled it evenly into the eight wine-filled pits. She gave them a stir with her Xuanyuan Mountain-Splitting Sword, then turned to the crowd and said, "Now, everyone must evacuate immediately—no one should be within five hundred meters!"

Though nobody knew why she was doing this, the crowd followed orders, boarding the buses and retreating. Rachel Sasaki was helped up by Luna Xiao and May Gu, but they were too worried about Shawn Young to leave his side.

The black-clad woman didn’t insist they leave. She simply said to Shawn Young, "You keep going—we’ll withdraw first!" With that, she picked up the wooden case, slung it over her back, and ran off.

Shawn Young panicked and shouted after her, "When can I retreat?"

"Hold on for two more minutes. Once we’re five hundred meters away, you can decide when to withdraw!" the black-clad woman called back without turning around.

"What?! Two minutes?!!" Shawn Young had no choice but to grit his teeth and pour all his energy into casting the Celestial Thunder Invocation.

Finally, after two agonizing minutes—though it felt like two years to him—Shawn Young was utterly exhausted. Casting the Celestial Thunder Invocation drained his true energy far too quickly.
