The Rise of the Demon Fiends

12/2/2025

Suddenly, the dark clouds above split open, jagged bolts of lightning snaked down from the sky, thunder rumbling loudly. With a deafening crack, the lightning converged at one spot and crashed straight into the fissure on the ground.

Giant, thick tentacles burst forth, each covered with saucer-sized suction cups—strikingly out of place. As the monstrous tentacles whipped out from the crack, they flailed wildly, instantly sending Simon Abe, whose face had turned pale with fright, tumbling to the side.

Yoshiaki Kiyokawa, who had been standing, was slowly swallowed up by the fissure. In less than half a minute—boom!—a gigantic monster suddenly shot out from the crack.

The creature was terrifying: its entire body blood-red, eight enormous tentacles thrashing about. Most horrifying of all, it had eight ferocious heads, each one different but all equally frightening. If you looked closely, you could make out a human figure in its chest—none other than Yoshiaki Kiyokawa. He had sacrificed all his power and life to summon Orochi, the legendary super-evil serpent from ancient Japanese myth.

Orochi surged onto the ground, its eight long tentacles whipping around, crackling with faint lightning. When they struck the transparent barrier around the formation, a blinding flash erupted—boom boom boom!! The barrier, once incredibly tough, couldn't withstand Orochi's onslaught and shattered. Simon Abe, who had been leaning against the barrier, was swept away by one of Orochi's tentacles and sent flying out of the formation.

"Roar!!" Orochi raised its heads and let out a monstrous howl toward the Red-Eyed Fiend, who had already fully evolved in midair. The two powerful demons locked eyes, sensing the intense killing intent and raging violence between them.

Orochi's massive body leapt toward the sky, while the Red-Eyed Fiend, unwilling to be outdone, screeched and dove fiercely from above.

Boom boom boom!

The ground was smashed open by terrifying force, creating a massive pit. The two mighty monsters collided with the ferocity of a comet hitting the earth, biting and wrestling, rolling and roaring. Their overwhelming destructive power shattered the villa's courtyard walls, and in less than a minute, the whole estate was reduced to rubble, smoke billowing everywhere—almost flattened!

Simon Abe was desperately fleeing outside the villa, while the Inagawa Syndicate bodyguards outside had no idea what kind of horror was unfolding within.

When the Seven-Star Fatebreaker Array was activated, the outside world was sealed off by a transparent barrier, so no one outside the villa had any clue what was happening inside. Now that the barrier was shattered, the two powerful monsters fighting fiercely quickly burst through, crossing the collapsed wall and suddenly appearing outside the villa.

"Ah! Wh-what are those things? They're terrifying!!" The Inagawa Syndicate bodyguards outside, still clueless and trembling, suddenly saw the two horrific monsters. Scared out of their wits, they scrambled backward in panic.

Simon Abe rushed out, shouting at the bodyguards, "Everyone, retreat now! These are demons—fall back immediately! We can't fight them!!"

Rat-a-tat-tat! Before Simon Abe could finish, several bodyguards raised their submachine guns and opened fire on the battling monsters. But the bullets only sparked harmlessly off their bodies, having no effect at all.

Things got even more chaotic. The two powerful monsters, locked in a fierce struggle, were suddenly interrupted by ordinary humans. Almost in perfect sync, they roared and split up, charging at the surrounding Inagawa Syndicate bodyguards.

Ah! Ah! Ah!

Screams rang out nonstop, blood splattering everywhere. Severed limbs were flung across the street, and in the blink of an eye, all one hundred-plus Inagawa Syndicate bodyguards patrolling outside the villa were slaughtered—each death gruesome, with hardly a whole body left. Human organs and body parts mixed with pools of crimson blood on the ground, further agitating the two monsters!

"Roar!" The monsters howled at each other again and charged madly toward one another, resuming their fierce battle.

Simon Abe cowered in a corner, barely daring to breathe. He knew either monster could easily kill him with a single blow.

Once the monsters started fighting each other again, Simon Abe quickly hunched down and sneaked away as far as he could. At this point, he didn't even have the strength to summon a Spirit Familiar to escape—he was a complete mess.

Simon Abe fled desperately from the villa, running onto the street. Just as he reached the intersection, a Porsche sports car sped toward him, its headlights shining directly in his face. For a moment, Simon Abe couldn't see who was inside.

But the people in the car recognized him immediately. Inside were Shawn Young, Luna Xiao, Rachel Sasaki, and May Gu. Since the Porsche was so fast, the four of them had actually gotten ahead of Ray Tang's Dragon Clear Brotherhood convoy.

Spotting a frantic figure darting into the street, Shawn Young squinted into the headlights and realized it was his old adversary, Simon Abe. He signaled Rachel Sasaki to stop the car, then jumped out and rushed toward Simon Abe.

Simon Abe, his mind shattered by the monsters, didn't even see who got out of the car. In his panic, he blocked the Porsche, flailing his arms and shouting, "Help! Please, save me! Get me out of here, I'm begging you!"

Suddenly, Simon Abe saw who was approaching him—it was Shawn Young. He froze, his heart sinking, feeling like he'd just escaped the tiger's den only to stumble into the wolf's lair.

But he quickly shouted at Shawn Young, "Chinese punk! You actually chased me all the way here? Well, I'd rather die at your hands than go back! Let's settle this!"

With that, Simon Abe charged at Shawn Young, screaming wildly and throwing punches. Simon Abe's yin-yang magic was impressive, but his fighting skills were pretty mediocre. Shawn Young easily grabbed his wrist and threw him over his shoulder.

Bang! Simon Abe crashed to the ground. Shawn Young stepped forward and landed a right hook on his jaw, knocking out several of Simon Abe's teeth and nearly making him pass out.

But Shawn Young had held back—he wanted to interrogate Simon Abe, so he hadn't knocked him out. He was surprised that Simon Abe's yin-yang magic was decent, but his fighting skills were so lousy, not even as good as a regular Inagawa Syndicate thug.

Shawn Young pinned the barely conscious Simon Abe to the ground, but before he could ask anything, Simon Abe burst out laughing maniacally: "Hahaha, you bastards, soon you'll all die with no graves! You filthy couples are going straight to hell!"

The three women had already gotten out of the car and walked over. Hearing Simon Abe's outburst, Rachel Sasaki kicked him in the stomach. Simon Abe curled up in pain but kept screaming, "Hahaha, you're all doomed! No one escapes! The Demon God has appeared—you'll all be sacrifices, just like me!"

"Demon God?! What nonsense is he spouting? Did something mess with his head? He's babbling incoherently." Rachel Sasaki frowned, squatting down and grabbing Simon Abe by the hair.

Just then, several eerie howls echoed from afar, chilling to the bone. Shawn Young's face darkened—he could sense an overwhelming demonic aura coming with those howls, even stronger than any evil spirit he'd faced before! That meant a terrifyingly powerful demon was lurking nearby.

Rachel Sasaki looked up, her expression freezing, then hurried over to stand beside Shawn Young. Frowning, she said, "Shawn-kun, there's a surge of evil energy ahead, demon clouds everywhere, and even the moon is blood-red! There must be a powerful demon on the loose!"

Luna Xiao added anxiously, "That's right. A blood-red moon always means an evil demon is coming, and its power will be immense. We need to be extra careful!"

At that moment, the roar of engines came from behind. Everyone turned to see a massive convoy speeding their way—Ray Tang leading the Dragon Clear Brotherhood.

Seeing this, Shawn Young dashed forward and blocked the road. In the lead car was Ray Tang. When he saw Shawn Young blocking the way, he realized something was up and quickly waved for the convoy to stop.

Shawn Young walked up and said, "Boss Tang, things have changed. You and the Dragon Clear Brotherhood should pull back for now to avoid unnecessary casualties. There's a powerful demon ahead—ordinary weapons can't hurt it."

Ray Tang was stunned. "But that's our target—the Inagawa Syndicate's main base! Hideo Sanada lives there. If we don't attack now, we'll lose our chance! We can't waste this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!"

Shawn Young quickly waved his hands and explained, "Uh, Boss Tang, I get how you feel—I want to take down the Inagawa Syndicate HQ too. But things have changed. If we charge in now, the Dragon Clear Brotherhood brothers won't be able to withstand that demon's attacks!"

Just then, Simon Abe suddenly scrambled up from the ground. Somehow, he'd secretly pulled a paper talisman from his sleeve, bit his tongue, and spat his last bit of spiritual energy onto the charm. He threw it to the roadside, and in an instant, the paper charm transformed into a green wolf. The wolf dashed over, grabbed Simon Abe in its jaws, and sprinted away with him.

"Hmph, that guy thinks he can escape right under my nose? Unbelievable! I'll shoot him down!" Ray Tang raised his 'box cannon' and aimed at Simon Abe's back.

But at that moment, a flash of blue light struck the green wolf's waist. With a yelp, the wolf turned back into a shredded paper charm. Simon Abe, carried by the momentum, tumbled seven or eight meters forward, landing half-dead and unable to struggle anymore.

Everyone turned to look and saw Luna Xiao, dressed in black, with a metallic gleam flashing in her hand. She had used her signature Demonbreaker Dart to attack the green wolf and break its spiritual power.

"He's a yin-yang master. You have to destroy his heart, or he'll be a threat!" Rachel Sasaki said, walking up to Simon Abe. She suddenly drew a sharp wakizashi from her waist and stabbed him in the heart, sending a jet of blood spraying from his chest.

Poor Simon Abe—tonight was destined to be his end! After escaping so many times, he still died at Rachel Sasaki's hands.

With Simon Abe dead, Rachel Sasaki walked over to Shawn Young and said, "Shawn-kun, that demon's power is too strong. Get the ordinary people out of here, then let's team up to hunt the demon!"
