Words of Experience

When Chloe Zhu stepped out of her spatial realm, she was already a Sixth Rank Spirit Master.

With further cultivation, she would soon reach the peak of the Spirit Master Realm.

After reaching the peak, if she broke through again, she would become a Spirit Grandmaster with a semi-immortal body.

Normally, reaching the peak would take a very long time.

But Chloe had medicine.

She took one freshly refined Auxiliary Pill every day, and her cultivation would improve just a bit more.

At this rate, Chloe estimated that in about two or three months, she could reach the peak of the Spirit Master Realm.

Honestly, the Divine Apothecary Master's recipes were simply magical!

No wonder they call him the Divine Apothecary!

......

When Chloe learned that the Celestial Emperor had granted an imperial marriage between Evan Xiao and Sophie Shang, she made up her mind—she would go to the Drake Abyss to find Evan.

Since he wouldn’t come to her, she’d go to him!

She was the Divine Maiden’s daughter, with the antidote recipe for Winterbane Poison, and she had Ray—she was sure she could ruin Sophie’s schemes!

But not just anyone could go to the Drake Abyss.

So she decided to ask her master for help.

Shannon Tu was resourceful and powerful—he’d definitely have a way.

Before she left, she used a communication talisman to call Shannon.

“Shannon, Shannon! The apricot blossoms on Apricot Hill are in full bloom. Want to go flower viewing with me?”

“Flower viewing?” Shannon’s voice sounded a little down.

“Yes!” Chloe said again. “And help me tidy up my master’s courtyard. It’s spring—perfect time to plant some veggies.”

"He... has he come back yet?"

"He’s back."

"Alright, wait for me a bit. I’ll be right there." Shannon agreed.

When they met, she asked Chloe, "Where have you been these days? I couldn’t reach you at all."

"I went to see my aunt," Chloe replied. "At Witchmoon Mountain. The communication talisman didn’t work well there."

"You went to Witchmoon Mountain?" Shannon asked.

"Yep!"

"Something happened over at Witchmoon Mountain. Did you hear about it?"

"What happened?"

"The Ji Clan—you don’t know?" Shannon raised an eyebrow at her.

Chloe grinned at her.

"Wait, was it you?"

"Yup, that was me," Chloe laughed. "Needed firewood for pill refining, so I just burned it all up—ha!"

Shannon looked at her with amusement. "You stole someone’s coffin for firewood?"

"The Kunlun Divine Wood didn’t want to be made into a coffin for him! It would rather be burned by me!"

"How does that make any sense?" Shannon laughed.

Chloe asked her, "You sounded a bit down earlier. What’s wrong?"

Shannon sighed and said, "My mother wants to marry me off to some dragon clan guy I can’t stand, just to benefit her family. And my father wants me to marry the Grand General, so I’ll spend my life strategizing for the Eastern Luo Empire."

"Didn’t you say... they wouldn’t meddle in your marriage?"

"What I meant was... if your master came to propose, they probably wouldn’t object," Shannon said. "They’re only bringing up marriage now because I’m of age and I don’t have any ideas myself."

"Shannon," Chloe said, "Let me give you some advice from experience, okay?"

"What kind of experience?"

"Evan Xiao, of course!"

Shannon laughed, "Alright!"

"Promise you won’t laugh at me!"

"I won’t laugh."

"Both times—whether back in Blue Moon Nation or now—it was me who chased after him," Chloe said.

"Really?" Shannon said she wouldn’t laugh, but she covered her mouth, giggling.

"You know what they say: when a man chases a woman, it’s like climbing a mountain; when a woman chases a man, it’s just a thin veil between them. It’s so true! Look at that Crown Prince—so cold and aloof, but he couldn’t resist my tactics!"
