"Grace, what nonsense are you spouting!" Maya Summers snapped. "You're just a useless girl without any spiritual root. Who would believe you?"
"Auntie, don't worry. I'm not afraid of him at all!" Grace looked at Prince Cheng with a provocative grin.
"Is it really you?" Prince Cheng didn't know Grace, but he knew Maya Summers well. Her anxious reaction confirmed that Grace was definitely involved.
"Of course it's me! As the saying goes, every injustice has its culprit, every debt its owner. If you want revenge for your women and children, come find me!" Grace declared.
"But let me warn you first—someone like you, a total scumbag, I won't go easy on you. Every time I see you, I'll beat you up! Until you finally change your ways and become a decent person!"
Prince Cheng was probably furious, but he didn't dare make a move at the Zhu Estate gate. Instead, he just gave a twisted, cold laugh.
"Let's go, Auntie!" Grace took Maya Summers by the arm and headed back inside.
On the way, Maya Summers looked at her with a half-smile, "I'm curious, how exactly do you plan to 'beat him up every time you see him'?"
Grace replied calmly, "Auntie, you don't know—I’ve trained! My skills are pretty good, you know!"
"Pfft!"
"Auntie, be serious, I'm not joking."
"Hahaha!" Maya Summers burst out laughing. "Grace, you really know how to make people smile!"
Grace looked a little frustrated and stayed quiet.
"But really, you should cut back on all this talk about fighting and revenge. What if you actually run into him one day? Are you really going to beat him up?" Maya couldn't help but laugh again.
In that moment, Maya Summers seemed to return to the cheerful, outgoing woman she used to be when Grace was a child... This was her true self.
Grace thought to herself, that slap from Prince Cheng really made her see him clearly. It was worth it.
...
Grace was used to wielding a sword.
In her previous life, she had an excellent sword.
But when she was captured by Colin Gu’s men, they took her sword as well.
Now, by chance, she had acquired the Fireheart Gem from the Infernal Drake, plus some Supreme Mythril. If she forged a sword with these, it would be one of the finest in the entire Blue Moon Kingdom—or even the Vermilion Kingdom!
With the Bridal Tournament coming up, she had to get the sword made as soon as possible.
Actually, she’d been working with Mr. Wayne all this time, planning and preparing.
Now, it was finally time to reel in the net.
As soon as the month was up, Grace took the contract she’d signed, grabbed Tenner and Edward Wang, and headed straight for Lucky Star.
Lucky Star had already merged with Mr. Wayne’s old shop, doubling its size and becoming the top blacksmith shop on the street.
Once inside, Grace immediately spotted the shopkeeper—Samuel Saunders.
"Mr. Saunders," Grace smiled, "Long time no see!"
Samuel Saunders saw her, his eyes flickering for a moment before breaking into a warm, enthusiastic smile. "Miss, what can I get for you today?"
"Oh? You look like you don’t recognize me!" Grace grinned. "Important people sure have short memories!"
"Have we met before, miss?" Samuel Saunders looked puzzled.
"A month ago, I ordered a sword here," Grace said. "Forged from Supreme Mythril and the Fireheart Gem. Ring any bells?"
"Huh? Did that really happen?" Mr. Saunders turned to a handsome young clerk beside him. "Ping’er, do you remember anything about this? I don’t recall a thing!"
