Anomalies at the Void Gate

Lily Bai stepped back to avoid him and said, "Darren, you'd better not do this."

"Lucia Lu, give me this one chance. From now on, I'll do whatever you say, alright?"

"If you really want my opinion, then it's a definite no," Lily replied coldly. "I only get close to men I love—otherwise, it's just disgusting."

Darren Xuan's eyes darkened. Suddenly, he grabbed her chin. "Disgusting, huh?"

"Disgusting."

He stared at her, slowly moving closer. He murmured, "If you keep feeling disgusted, you'll get used to it eventually."

"Aren't you afraid Sean Shaw will chop you into pieces?" Lily asked.

"Him..." Darren Xuan gave a small laugh. "I'm afraid he won't get the chance."

"Why?" Lily was puzzled.

"Because he's going to die," Darren said, enunciating each word. "Not just him—Soren Lann, Tanya Quinn—they'll all die! Sooner or later, the Three Divine Realms will fall into the hands of the Vermilion Clan!"

"Are you serious? Where do you get that kind of confidence?"

"Trust me. I brought you here to save you, you know that?"

Lily Bai: "...What do you mean?"

Darren Xuan: "Want to know?"

Lily Bai: "I do."

"I'll tell you after they're dead." Darren Xuan leaned in again, trying to kiss her.

Lily Bai couldn't take it anymore and summoned Sean Shaw.

She'd held back for so long, just trying to get him to talk. It hadn't been easy.

Sean Shaw split from Lily's body, like he was her spirit double.

Then he saw Darren Xuan.

He actually tried to kiss his Little Fish!

A cold sword slashed down—Darren Xuan's hand, the one gripping Lily's chin, fell to the ground.

Darren Xuan screamed, suddenly retreating. Death light surged toward Sean Shaw.

Sean Shaw grabbed Lily Bai, a flash of red light—Fish helped them space-jump, landing on Darren's side.

Then, another sword strike fell.

"Wait!" Lily Bai shouted, grabbing Sean Shaw's hand.

At the same time, she tossed a handful of Slumber Draught toward Darren Xuan.

Darren Xuan collapsed.

"Let me finish off that bastard!" Sean Shaw still wanted to kill him.

"Take him back for questioning," Lily Bai said. "It's important!"

Sean Shaw looked at her darkly. "Why didn't you summon me sooner?"

"I wanted to get him to talk!"

"What's so important about what he has to say?"

"He just said—" Lily Bai started, but Darren Xuan suddenly groaned and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Lily Bai was startled and went to check. It was poison.

An incurable poison.

Darren Xuan forced his eyes open and stared at her. "You... must not go—"

His voice cut off. He was dead.

His whole body turned black, no longer recognizable as a person.

"He was knocked out by me. There's no way he poisoned himself," Lily Bai said. "The toxin was already in his body. It was triggered just now."

"Was there a Surveillance Talisman in his body?" Sean Shaw asked.

Lily Bai shook her head and looked around.

Finally, she reached into a corner and summoned a transparent Surveillance Talisman.

She had a feeling—it belonged to Liam Leshan.

Or maybe to their mother, Jenna Stormscar.

She stared at the talisman and said, "Liam Leshan, Jenna Stormscar, I will find you both."

...

After the two returned to Drake Abyss, the furious Sean Shaw gathered all the gods and prepared to send troops to wipe out the Scarlet Clan.

But just then, someone reported that something strange had happened at the Void Gate.
