Effortless Slaughter

Using a space domain against him was practically asking to die. Evan Chu could already imagine the exquisite feeling of watching his opponent perish under his most skilled elemental attacks.

The corners of Evan Chu's mouth curled up slightly as he said to the old man, "Space domains are supposed to be impressive, right? Old man, don’t let me down. I’m pretty fast—let’s see if I can escape from your space domain."

The Human elder glanced at Evan and replied, "Kid, I guarantee you’ll never forget this. Enjoy my Ice Domain to your heart’s content!"

As soon as he finished speaking, water elements flooded the surrounding space, and Evan was instantly frozen in place. He was already used to this kind of thing—Ice Domains were just trash in his eyes. At that moment, a new idea formed in his mind: he split his focus, silently resonating with the water elements while also gathering the domain’s lightning elements.

First, he would use the water elements to form a Mystic Ice Greatsword and deal a heavy blow to his opponent, then follow up with a lightning strike. Under this double attack, even a Fourth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm expert wouldn’t survive. This way, he wouldn’t need to burn much Chaos Dragon Force—just a bit of mental power, which he now had in abundance.

A vicious glint flashed across the Human expert’s face as he grinned at Evan, "Kid, take your time and savor the feeling of being frozen into an ice pillar!"

Evan, meanwhile, calmly gathered water and lightning elements. The Ice Domain the Human expert had unleashed had already been quietly broken by him. Now, he was just waiting to savor the scene of his opponent dying under his double-element attack.

After several breaths, the Human expert noticed that Evan inside the domain hadn’t been frozen into an ice pillar as expected. It was as if his domain was useless against him, leaving him bewildered.

Just as he was puzzling over it, Evan grinned and said, "Old geezer, your domain isn’t much, huh? Why is there no reaction? Is your domain useless against me?"

By now, Evan had almost finished gathering both elements and could strike at any moment. He deliberately said these things to distract his opponent, making it easier to land a precise, devastating hit.

"Kid, you’d better not get cocky. Maybe you’ve got some skill, but I still don’t take you seriously. Now let me show you the true power of a Fourth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm technique!" the elder roared in anger.

Evan laughed, "Old geezer, you really dare to use a powerful technique here? Aren’t you afraid you’ll destroy the whole city and get King Zander to settle the score with you? Is your brain waterlogged, or were you born this stupid? Talking to you is exhausting."

The elder was so furious he could barely breathe, but Evan had hit his sore spot—otherwise, why would he bother using a space domain against a weak Saint Martial Realm ant?

"Kid, just for that, you’re dead! If I don’t kill you today, I’m not worthy to be called a man. Even if King Zander punishes me, I’ll still take your life—prepare to die!" Completely enraged, the elder spun his longsword into a dazzling sword-flower and lunged at Evan.

But Evan just stood there, smiling. When the elder’s icy sword-qi was less than five meters away, Evan moved his mind—and the water elements he’d gathered in the air instantly formed a gigantic Mystic Ice Greatsword behind him.

The Human elder had no idea about the Mystic Ice Greatsword behind him. Seeing Evan motionless, he thought he’d scared him stupid—until a sudden, wrenching pain shot through his back. In the next instant, his whole body was frozen solid inside a massive block of Mystic Ice.

The Mystic Ice Greatsword pierced straight through his body, its unstoppable force leaving him stunned. Evan was satisfied with the result; for a Fourth-Layer Venerable, a one-shot kill was unlikely, but the upcoming lightning strike would probably finish the job.

Evan walked up to the Human elder and said, "How’s that Mystic Ice taste, old man? Weren’t you going to freeze me into an ice pillar? Why are you the one frozen now? You’re a real disappointment. For a so-called Fourth-Layer Venerable, you’re just a fraud trading on reputation."

Gritting his teeth against the agony, the elder circulated his netherforce and shattered the Mystic Ice, but blood poured from his chest, soaking his clothes, and his back was a mangled mess. His face twisted in pain, looking utterly ferocious.

"Kid, I let my guard down and you got the drop on me. Looks like you’re not as simple as you seem. Even if I die today, I’ll take you with me—if someone like you is allowed to grow, the entire Netherkin race will never know peace," the elder said through gritted teeth, enduring the pain.

"Old man, do you even have the right to talk big? Are you stronger than the Ghost King? Tougher than the Beast King? I killed both of them myself, and you—a Fourth-Layer Venerable ant—dare to bark at me? You really don’t know when you’re beaten. But since you’re suffering so much, I’ll be merciful and let you experience another kind of 'wonder.'" Evan laughed.

With a thought, a bolt of blue lightning shot down from the sky—so fast it lit up the whole city. The elder had no time to dodge; the lightning struck him dead-on, leaving him no chance to react.

This was a water-attribute lightning strike, thick as a barrel—probably because the domain was saturated with water elements. When it hit the Human elder, it blasted him deep into the ground, collapsing dozens of meters of earth and toppling nearby buildings.

The strike shattered all the elder’s organs and snapped his bones and meridians. He never imagined he’d die to such a bizarre attack. Glancing up at the familiar sky, he closed his eyes, unwilling to accept his fate.

Evan used the Star-Siphon Method to pull the elder’s corpse out of the dirt, took his storage ring, and incinerated him with a burst of flame until nothing remained.

"Pathetic. A Fourth-Layer Venerable dares to challenge me? He really doesn’t know his place!" Evan shouted deliberately, noticing several Shade Clan experts had come over—including the Yang Family patriarch.

His words stunned the crowd. In that instant, everyone fully submitted to this heaven-defying youth—maybe following him really would lead to a bright future...
